@Safreadis if you make it, I feel very sorry for those poor CSM. You are freakkin terrifying with those new hawkseer grenades. I had actual nightmares the night after you tested them on me.
Do not put those grenades into live, please. Unless you guys want to rework all of the grenades to be to par.
It was hard to tell what was going on a lot of the time because of the Hawk grenade spam. I went with undivided armor builds. I was getting shredded. Havocs were effective at taking down the hawks that I saw coming, but didn't have enough support to guard my back, so I still had a short life span. I frequently used my meltagun+bomb build, because it's my favorite even though it's not good against eldar. I still won some 1 v 1 fights with pistol and knife. My lascannon havoc vet was nearly instakilled by the grenades a couple of times, easily finished off with a small amount of hawk firepower. There wasn't much team play going on the Chaos side, but that may have just been due to the hawks killing so effectively that our groups were getting demolished. The Eldar frogger game also played a factor in at least one of the games, because we ran out of rhinos and the Eldar vehicles just ran half the team over when we would try to go from point to point. (also hawk grenades.) If the Eldar frogger power is ever dealt with, they might need something to compensate for it. Right now it's pretty helpful for map control. Torias has always been one of my favorite maps, so I don't really have anything negative to say about the map itself. I like the long distances between points. It allows more team strategy (when the team is organized). To play it effectively the squad leaders need to take on different roles and decide when their squads should all group up vs split push/back cap. My vehicles were getting destroyed very quickly. I'm not entirely sure what was getting them, but I'm guessing it was the fire dragons dual meltabombs. (I don't have a problem with that conceptually, but with limited vehicles that can be pretty devastating.) No one was helping me guard my vehicles, and we were wasting them by not grouping up. I'm not sure how much of an issue this would be for guild matches, since we work together much better. I'd like to have a rematch once the grenades are nerfed.
I think there was something we all agreed on: Hawksear grenades deal WAY to much damage: 80-100 damage seems decent enough, but 120 is too strong. My own 2cent. - Hawks are now the definition of Glass Canons. They are very mobile but can't tank for shit. Fine. - Avenger's duty is a great tool right now. - Banshees are pretty strong, but they are fragile AF. They hit hard, but there's not much room for error for them. I'd love to see a revamp of their animations tho.
