I played PS 2 once, its an ok game but I have no investment in it. I had no idea who these three factions are or why they are fighting
This thread is old news. At the bottom of the very first Eternal Crusade newsletter, after the signature, after the image but before the trademarks, it reads: THE FOUR GAMES ETERNAL CRUSADE DEVS MUST-PLAY: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Planetside 2 Borderlands Mount & Blade: Warband There should be no cause for concern on this regard.
Macs have about a 4% market penetration and all the current Mac systems can be booted into windows as well. Unix* systems have about a 6% market penetration, and can all run cygwin/wine or VMs. Most people who have a mac, also have a PC. Designing games to work with Mac/Unix* when they are primarily for PC does not ever give a good ROI. Suggesting to a publisher that you would like them to spend a few million more in development cost and time, because you can't be bothered to be mainstream and want to be a hipster is bad. Go buy a PC, or set up your duel-boot. Complaining that it doesn't work on a Mac is like buy a Nascar team, and complaining you can't race in the F1.
Mount and Blade: Warband is an amazing game, simple mechanics but enthralling single player. Multi-player is great too, especially Napoleonic Wars.
I wasted hundreds of hours playing that game... is just a few $/€ (ok, it's 20 freaking € wait till christmas sales on steam and you can get it for 2), the graphics suck, the animations suck, there is no real plot to the game, and the game is awesome.
I played the Planetside 2 today What can I say, I'm a bit confused. Looks like this game needs a TON of grind, especially since I'm not planning to invest money into it. I haven't seen much teamwork too. People run around CoD-style. I can't even begin to say how I HATE this. It's degrading. No purpose, no discipline, no teamwork. Just a herd. I did manage to join a good squad by the end of my game session, we showed them hell. But I'll have to look for such a group again next time, before I actually have any fun. Anyway, I guess it's too early to judge, but it looks like this game needs a bunch of friends to play with and/or a disciplined clan. Now I know what I'd hate to see in the Eternal Crusade - herds of CoD-spawn.
Couldn't agree more, I play Planetside 2 also, took me a while to even unlock any decent stuff, tons of grind and is just mainly which side has more people in it and the bigger guns.
