Hello forum users, I'm thinking about perhaps DMing a D&D 3.5 play by post game based in Eternal Crusade forums. These games do not have to be strictly Warhammer 40k or any of it's offshoots. I was wondering if people would like me to do it or perhaps someone else would like to run it. The In Character thread for it would be here in Role Play, while all dice rolls would be in the giant in the playground forum. (They have a dice roller)
So please if you would like me to run it say so below (maybe give rough character ideas like name, class and light backstory) or perhaps offer to DM and maybe we can get multiple games going.
Anyone else who wants to DM, please state your system and edition, starting level, and max player number.
Here are my example for my campaign:
    D&D
    Edition: 3.5
    Starting Level: 1
    Max Player Number: 6
    My example for my character:
    Dorian Shadowchain
    Swordsage (tome of battle)
Was trained by my father in the ways of the swordsage and I am hunting for his killer.

OOC: .... Specifications on race / faction limitation? ^^

This would be using races from D&D rulebooks, however you can act like the cross over races. In my campaign, Warhammer 40k will make an appearance. No real specifications on race. For my campaign, I'm going to wait until I see that there is a real interest before I post a background for the campaign for backstories. If you would like me to post it now, feel free to say so.

OHHHH so it is seriously non-wh40k.... you know you should put a D&D disclaimer in the thread name ^^

Because what completely irritated me was the 'game based in eternal crusade' part ^^

Okay, I'm sorry. The idea is being able to host lots of different PnP games (like black crusade or dark heresy but others as well) and play them with users from the eternal crusade forums. People would be using the giant in the playground forums for dice rolls. It would allow to add that next level of depth to things like your RPs.
Edited top post to hopefully lessen confusion.

  6. Dude, as fellow 3.5 DM I'd like to know point buy/books allowed/classes disalowed/races/setting before I make a character, I want to mould my character to be able to be native. Also what deities for cleric do you allow?
  7. Also I invite you guys to spectate a DnD game with Guild Wars influences (and some warhammer nods) on bsd3-5.boards.net

its for my colleagues, but you're welcome to watch. (40 pages in the current campagin)

30 point buy, all books, all races allowed, will post background soon (it's a bit long) if you want to use a home-brew class then post a link and I'll review it. I don't have all the books. I mainly use http://dndtools.eu for referencing. If you want to optimize, don't go too overboard please.

    Ginulia campaign background
The continent of Ginulia has been wracked by civil war. Trust is a thing of the past. The countries of Lutra (elves), the Stone Throne (dwarves and gnomes), and the Senate (mixed) are all that is left.

The Senate is a country of younger races. The humans mainly come from this country. The country is filled with those who do fit in anywhere else. The Senate is a melting pot of races, if it exists, there is at least a village of them somewhere.

The country of Lutra is a forested land of trees up to a hundred feet tall and bigger around than human hut. The elves welcome visitors but 'ware those that harm the trees. The elves protect this land with fierce blades and magic.

The Stone Throne rules the mountains of Notorth. Orcs and goblins constantly raid cities. The dwarves distrust visitors while the gnomes welcome them, eager to show off their inventions. Centuries past, so that only the oldest of the 2 races remember, the dwarves and gnomes created the warforged. The dwarves created their bodies while the gnomes gave them intelligence.

Every 5 years, the leaders of the 3 nations meet in the city of Sareth. It is a great trade city that doesn't belong to anyone country but is neutral territory. Ancient magics make it so that magic doesn't work in the city. If merchants want to sell magical items, they must apply for permission and when the the countries meet, even they are denied magic.

If there is a race I missed that you would like a backstory for, please tell me. As for Gods, use ones from the PHB or create your own and submit them for review. Anything I else I missed, please tell me.
  10. Im thinking of rolling a cleric of Mayaheine. LG.

It isnt too OP, but it fits the backgroud I have for this character.

    Okay imma come clean.

I already have a cleric character ready. Its an old one.
If you want I can post the sheet here in txt format.
