Don't you fear brother, plasma cannon will come back in style, no doubts about that, till that time we need to master other heavy weapons - heavy bolter - a true gentleman's choice .

Oh I understand that perfectly fine, but the fact is, out of all the things that happened in this patch, the PC "nerf" is the only thing you seemed to have focused on.

And if you're after reliable weapons, may I introduce you to the Storm Bolter

A lot of people think HB devastators have a targeting reticle. No, it's just a monocle. Death with finesse!

The only change the PC needed was removal of snap-fire and a slight increase in charge up time. It didn't need slower projectiles, removal of the lob-fire mode, less damage, less radius, etc.

That being said, I still think this is just a bug and isn't intended. I also think they are probably going to work on getting the game "playable" again before they really put priority on this.

I'm fine with the PC killing whole tightly packed groups, what I'm not fine with is the almost rail gun like trajectory with virtually no drop aside from the mortar mod that is never used and the velocity of the plasma ball which is far too fast and the fact that it has a uncharged shot for literally zero reason. Look at the PC in other 40k games like SM and the dawn of war series. Shoots a large slow moving arcing ball of plasma obliterates just about anything infantry wise and does a number on vehicles. Then look at it in this, barely any drop, high rate of fire, very fast travel speed and massive damage to infantry and vehicles. You have all the pluses of a PC with barely any of the downsides. I would even be up for increasing the damage and radius if the travel speed was slowed down and the arch increased.

That would be this video made by yours truly. I do this daily, several times a day with the HB, PC and the MM. All this hemming and hawing over the shield bro.. yawn.

So you're upset it takes more than ONE snap shot to kill anything that isn't a Jump Assault? And as we all know the PC can one shot a Jump Assault. So the PC is broken because you can't one shot everything with the snap shot? Or it takes more than 2 shots to kill anything with the snap shot so the PC is broken? Did you even read what you wrote? Do you know how utterly ridiculous that sounds? You're wanting to one shot all enemies with the snap shot?

And Blade you actually gave this post a like? Have you all gone absolutely insane? You're saying the PC is broken because it doesn't one shot kill with snap shots? You guys think it's broken because it takes more than one or two shots to kill something with snap shot?

You're not doing yourselves any favors as far as perception. Like a post such as this and posting feedback like this makes it seem like you guys are totally off your rocker wanting the PC to one shot everything with the snap shot.

You guys had to know this is coming, looking out in any given match and seeing 1/4 of every team carrying PCs, seeing players purposely choosing to spawn a PC for close quarters situations.


I will concede the mortar shot trajectory seems to have been flattened too much and needs more arc. Other than that, you guys had to have known the PC was going to be nerfed.

I don't know about the snap shots but I know the PC has been nerfed to oblivion for any of the other shots. Posted in another thread about it, hitting people with fully charged shots and having them run straight on through to two shot me isn't working as intended since there's a cooldown attached to those shots, and also those heavy dudes don't run so well
Note: I usually play apoth but have been playing chaos due to queues so I'm no expert on playing the heavy guys

I gave this post a like cos in the first line it says: the plasma has been nerfed into uselessness - which is true and the best summary of situation.

As for snap shots, ofc I am and have always been against them, if you read my posts about pc in various threads more carefully, including this one , you'd know (now you can apologize me Njord )

Well, everybody has a fav weapon or class and no wonder he\she focuses on it but don't you worry, I have a much bigger problem after the last patch, most of maps are so dark I just don't see anything and can't play, submitted a ticket about it two days ago.



As for storm bolter, I dunno, I guess I prefer the regular one, however I saw in some vids it tends not to register all hits, so I dunno, almost everything seems broken after the last patch.
