The Strike Cruiser design is still really open at the moment; meaning that we are investigating lots of options for how it will work ultimately. I would say that you aren't too far from what we are considering in one of these options
I think there are other threads either in Game Design or in General Discutions about feature suggestions for the ship. Browse the forum a bit If you have any questions UI specific about the Cruiser, I guess that you can ask them in this thread.
Excuse me, but is half the thread missing? Apart from that, are Cruisers actually something stationed in Space, meaning they can fly around and can be attacked(this would be something for after launch probably)? Will their position, if implemented, change your abilities to orbital strike (i.e. you can only hit something like 5 kms around your position, otherwise you'd have to fly there)?
Oh my... Part of the thread has been sucked in the warp! Cruiser shouldn't have an exact position in space (at least for now). We'll start with one planet probably so a cruiser parked somewhere in space can easily bombard anywhere easily, with out having to move that much Like said previously, Cruisers are still being defined so it is more about what you would like your Cruiser to be Knowing that we put priority on ground combat.
It should be a must-have for the interior at least, and the devs are probably aware of that. Not sure about the outside though. Will we actually get to see it, maybe in a Cutscene while connecting different ships?
It is mainly Chapter themed but you'll be able to add a few things based on your Squad and Strike Force. Don't worry, there are still lots of customization options within these rigid constraints.
Will these customizations be visible to everyone in your strike force who shares the cruiser? And will the Chapter Master (Or race equivalent) be able to add overall customizations to the cruiser?
