Everyone loves a nice shiny game with all the trimmings, I would just like to say can we get some option were we can control the amount of particle effects we get displayed. I would love some but after playing PS2 , Borderlands 2 and Warframe . I realised i would like to be able to control the amount I get other than just on and off.
It's a tough line to tread. We had this option in both Age of Conan and The Secret World, the challenge is in making sure that what's happening is clear even for players with lowered effects settings. But that's a challenge we'll certainly consider!
Well from tech side, I need to mention that we are ofc limited on what the engine can do and allows us. But, we are certain to integrate enough flexibility so that every player can tweak his performance vs. quality enough to have a good experience!
I really dont care about the looks of the game i still feel that games like avp extinction and dawn of war 1 still have good graphics i just want it to make sence with alot of customization.
No PhysX. It is programmed to not run on ATI cards(current gen is using ATI), it will run all the physics off the cpu(physX is good because it runs physic off the gpu) of . I hate that they do this. They make a great tool for gaming but unless us their cards you not going to get that awesome performance. You can get it to work if you hacked drivers but still it is a pain in the ass. I am going to do some more research and see if this has changed since I learned about it.
Never had a problem with PhysX myself, on another note will Eternal Crusade be exclusive to Nvidia or ATI?
I've got a good computer setup and an ATI card and I can tell you, PhysX kills my frame-rate when it shouldn't. PhysX is just not made to work with ATI, and it pisses me off. That said, I don't think it shouldn't be included. Just let me turn it off.
