OOC: Sorry, Xaph. Won't happen again!

Softly and silently, Veerix followed him closely, just a breath behind the Slicing Orb. Instead of footsteps, the familiar fragrance reminded him of her presence. "I regard your comment about the complimenting as a compliment", she said not without a clearly audible tinge of pride in her voice. But before she could tease him again, the "old man", Zu'ark, approached and scolded them.

Her face went through a variety of emotions before becoming stuck in what seemed to be a half-amused, half-apologetic face, gently pushing Arlon aside to move closer zo Zu'ark. "But... of course", the mist-cloak said, "You hurt me that you would insinuate that I am an avatar of destruction. Surely you know of my reputation as a lore-seeker? I would never let any of my kin come to harm."

  2. Sai'ir decided it was better to not meddle in the Seer's affairs, so he once again began to wander, finding himself again in the kitchen. It was open enough, but there were others inside, so he decided to ask before releasing Kiast.

"Pardon, but would it be acceptable to allow my companion to stretch his wings here for some while?" He asked politley, walking to the group and indicating Kiast.

OOC: trying to point a gun to hold up Ty'rel:

Ty'rel looked at the two pilots pointing pistols at him with knives in their hands. His friendly smile never faltered, but there was an edge in his eyes that wasn't there before. He still held the girl, who was now shaking in his arms and address the two pilots.

"Well I know it's been a while since I've traveled through space but doesn't piloting the ship usually not involve pointing hand held weapons at the passengers on board?"

Arlon stood quiet. Not making a move. He simply stood and looked around. He kept looking back and forth as if trying to find someone.

"Veerix...Where are all our dead kin, or the ones we are Terrorizing? I see none" Arlon said in a long silent whisper.

"I think you should be more hurt that a simple seer assumes he could take down one, let alone two masters of war."

At the mention of plain vanilla the Harlequin, who could take a cue and who knew well the lambruith of the distaur, mimed perfectly the thrown-back demise of one who has been shot through the heart. Over-dramatically, too, complete with hand raised tragically to masked forehead. Nonetheless, in fact when Vex went to eat his plain vanilla ice cream, he would find it laced with multi-hued sprinkles. He then sat up and continued as if nothing had happened, which it didn't until the good server arrived with her masterpiece.

He examined the fruit cake with a thorough and searching gaze for a moment. Then the mask beamed at Pearus, and he extended a brightly-gloved hand to receive the dish.

"Beautifully done. My thanks. It is everything I asked for, while referencing what you see before you. The Audience informs the Art." Jeyridian gave a respectful bow, this time devoid of any possible mockery. He ventured to taste a small bite; though he didn't take off his mask, he was quite capable of eating and drinking while wearing it. And he had always made a point of having elegant table manners. The cake really did taste good. And the fruit made every bite different. He hadn't expected anything very - well, in truth he hadn't considered the catering, but sombre would have been his best guess. Lots of hearty but uninspiring nutrition for no-nonsense warrior types.

"It is such a cake as Isha might have made to await Kurnous when he came home from the hunt," he said, holding her eyes for a moment, and as he did so, the mask took on a sharper, more keen look, a face that missed nothing. A tiny mark of Kurnous apparent in bronze upon one cheek.

Just then Sai'ir arrived, and the Harlequin looked up. For a moment Hunter met Hawk, and he inclined his head to the Child of Faolchu. Then he blinked, and resumed the cheerful face of the Masquerade, and gestured freely with one hand, the one that didn't hold his cake fork.

"By all means, you and your companion may join me! Would you like some of this cake?"

Sai'ir took another small bow, and released Kiast to begin flying about the kitchen, although he was careful where he would soar. He then took a seat next to the Harlequin, removing his helmet for the first time since his arrival. Both his eyes and hair were the color of pure silver.

"I am known as Sai'ir the Heavenly Blade. My companion in the air is Kiast the Celestial Messenger." Curiously, he took a look at the cake. "I have not been hungry, but perhaps... just a taste?" He mused to himself, somehow conflicted on whether to taste or not.

Zilyana looked to the seer listening to him then the others as they spoke. She could hear almost everything her Whispers Amplified the sound of what sound to be the hawk of the fellow phoenix lord down the hall sounds of foot steps and others coming. As she heard Arlon speak she looked at him.

"Arlon you are a fellow Phoenix lord I respect that But if you are implying to going into combat Against our Kin I will be obliged to help them, But I will not see you spill the blood of fellow Craft world Eldar." She said Backing up the seer She detested when things like this happened. When Eldar wen't against other Eldar.

"I am most hurt you presume to know my feelings", she replied in the same whispered tone she always used.

"Let the man finish, and explain himself. Please. I am most curious, Arlon." The fog-wreathed apparition placed a hand on his armoured shoulder as if using him to lift herself.

The Harlequin nodded a greeting. back to being himself once more.

"Kurneshai, Lord-Phoenix, may Khaine bless your endeavours," he said, formally. "I am Jeyridian; I serve the Laughing God in the guise of the Leader of the Masque." Where exactly the knife came from was difficult to ascertain, but it was only a blunt one for cutting cake. He took the slice he'd already nibbled for himself and offered the plate to Sai'ir, so that he might take a slice if he decided he wished to.

"If it's not impertinent to ask, how did you come by such a companion?" There was a time for impertinent questions, of course, they could be absolutely essential, but this was not it. Jeyridian enjoyed civilised conversation as much as the next Eldar, who was in this case a disciple of vanished Hoec.

"Lady, will you join us, or do you have duties that cannot spare you?" he said to Pearus.
