I think players should gain some advantages based on territories. Right now there is no reason to fight for places on map and game not offer exclusive rewards for players. At least there can be a list for most contribution player names for each faction.
I would for one, like to know what exactly the Worldmap is showing: It is not winrates. So even if one faction wins 1% more, at some point they will have captured all the territory?
"Next Month" we'll be getting a real world map and a "campaign" system set up. So we'll just have to wait for that, or more info from the next few twitches. Although, I'd almost bet "next month" is more end of october-middle of november.
remember that any buff a faction gets from owning territory cant be large or else you start the "snowball effect" where the winning team gets stronger and wins more, if anything in the light of faction balance owning more territory should in fact create a "nerf" effect meaning a winning faction has a harder time to win more
The original idea, was that you could assault a fortress immediately, but it was a bad idea and that taking the surrounding strongholds would make it easier. I'm all for that.
I did not know I could zoom in on the World Map .... new information pops-up...not particularly useful information, but there's a fraction more to the map than the base image you see.
Right now there is no "fight for places"... Just dumb map that serves no purpose... They had promissed some basic campaign system for release. Another point on the long list of disapointments. This is showing their competence. There was plenty great ideas about how to make missions more intresting and how campaigns could look like... They didn`t even invent anything just take ideas from community.
