Anyway, I am playing on mobile 850m nVidia ( i5 4210m) and I dont know from when (somewhere near patch 22/23 + I had to reinstall my game) it runs pretty ok. My only problems are fortresses when there are many players together, but thats problem for everyone it seems. I have to play with those settings inside settings.ini but I can get +30 fps normally all the time.
I only play now on the 30-40 man maps, i can run ultra mostly h ere but the 60 man map fortresses become slideshow at the end on my 1080 and i5.
Your comment is really representative the discrepancy of experiences. Some user are aiming at a steady 60 fps, which is something about what we're aiming as well, but in progress. These users will be upset to eat a spike at 30 fps in the exact perfect momentum in a battle. Some other users are playing between 25 and 50 and they say they have good performance! Different people, different point of view. So about the infamous spikes, we have precisely identify the guilty and we have a nice strategy to get it fixed, the pace at which this will be enhanced will depend of prioritization of our back log of improvement we want to deliver, as quick as possible for you guys to enjoy the game you want! Two little scoop about the main work we are doing to increase performance: 1) Interactive UI (Lots of optimizations are still possible and this is actual good news!) 2)Rendering Thread, which is the graphical load on the CPU! (not the GPU part). It is an asynch thread (multi-threaded that launch tasks on multiple cores). We have a dev that found something awesome that will remove some evil calls that are super heavy and useless for our game.
Not really general performance, but I don't think nvidia hasn't shipped the nvidia profile for the game yet. Nvidia Inspector doesn't show any profiles, and I didn't see it in the Nvidia control panel either. Just mentioning it because behaviour's page ( https://bhvrmtl.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/214044523-Does-the-game-support-Crossfire-and-SLI- ) mentions SLI support as in, so I think it's probably Nvidia we're waiting on.
After messing with it a few more times I'm pretty sure the settings make no difference to my issue of 5+ second freezes, they happen on the lowest settings, they happen on the highest settings, except when they don't....which seems to be entirely at random....sometimes its fine for hours and sometimes it freezes. Please fix this soon.
I'm playing this on lowest settings myself, but I assumed the game was giving me problems because my PC is seven years old (I have two ATI radeon HD 5850 graphics cards (not sure how the name is supposed to be written), so I was sure I shouldn't be having problems). At least it's good to know it's not my PC that's the problem. Lowest setting is the only one that can give me smooth gameplay.
Ok people, thank you, I am really grateful for your advices but I have to ask a little more of your patience, because I do not know how to follow the fix instruction of MefDaFixa. I do not even know how to run the launch options Please, be patient Help
hello everyone i have finally decided to post on this forum after months of frustration (i bought the game in march). I can't run the game smoothly even though i have IMHO a decent config. - I7 4790K (4 Cores 4Gig , hyperthread blah blah blah....) - 8Gb of ram - GTX 960 4Gb Ram ( PNY GeForce GTX 960 XLR8 4Go) - and everything is on a MSI Z97 Gaming 5 I've tried to add launch parameters -NOTEXTURESTREAMING -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -LANPLAY and even tried adding -sm4 but it didn't really improve the game. i've also tried to modify the ini file without improvements. And finally check the ping (the real one displayed in the ressource manager not the fake one in game) and it's around 150ms. i just can't understand what could be wrong, my brother can play it smoothly with a lower computer (a little older cpu and GC with 2Go of ram, didn't remember exactly what he uses), using the same internet connexion. Juste why? I'm getting a little bit tired, i never have more than 20 fps if 5 people are in the screen, so fun to capture points when 15 peoples beat the crap of each others and i'm here trying to kill orcs with personal "tellyporta" at 5 fps. i don't even talk about the big map with 60 players... So what can i do ? thank you.
My performance in EC is very bad. When on the battlefield my FPS range is between 20 to 50 fps, sitting mostly in between 20 and 35 fps. I always play the 'Skirmish' mode because I do notice a very big difference in performance depending on the amount of people I'm seeing. I always aim for at least 60fps in every game. No matter what's going on in-game, I never want it to dip below 60fps. And no matter the hardware, some games just need some tweaking of config files or maybe just only with the provided settings in-game or through the configuration panels of the graphics driver or whatever else, and I always love doing it. I even tweak the games where I don't have any performance issues just for the lolz. But in EC nothing actually fixes my performance issues. Everything I try only alters performance a tiny bit if anything. - I've tried the config file, which seems to only make as much of a difference as tweaking the in-game settings. - I've tried a variety of different driver settings even though I was sure only a few of the settings should really have made a difference, if any. - Overclocking GPU('s) doesn't seem to do anything either. Setting my entire system back to all default clocks also doesn't make a difference. - Setting Crossfire on or off also makes no big difference except for stutter, which on low performance is to be expected. - I always have my CPU unparked so that shouldn't be a problem either. - Switching between fullscreen, borderless fullscreen & windowed mode also don't seem to make a difference. - Different graphics card driver versions don't fix anything. My specs: Processor: AMD FX-8350 Motherboard: Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z RAM: Corsair Dominator 16GB (4x4) GPU's: 2 x Asus R9 290x Soundcard: Xonar Phoebus PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 1200W For comparisson, I am able to run BF4 stable 60+ fps on Medium/High/Ultra settings with a resolution of 6006x1080 (adjusted res). Eternal Crusade unfortunately I can barely run 60fps with everything on low and a resolution of 1600x900. Either I'm missing something obvious or it surely must be with the game as to why I'm getting this bad of a performance. I'm reading a lot of posts from people saying they have 60+ fps pretty much all the time and even though I doubt a lot the things that I read on the internet, it does have me worrying a bit that it might be more than just the game's optimizations. PS: sorry for the long post
