Hm. Well.... elaborate. I can do that. Although, I'm kinda hoping that music will not only be unique to each race, but also to each sub-faction. For instance: Space Wolves should have a very fast-paced, drum-filled, viking-esk feel, while the Dark Angels should be completely different with a dark, medieval, monastic tone with deep choir like the song below. Same would go with, say, the Ultramarines, who should have a very heroic and noble theme. I would give my opinion on the Blood Angels, but i'm not all quite sure what kind of music would fit them. I suppose vengeful music, for the loss of their Primarch? I dunno, I'll let actual Blood Angel fans help me on that one. However, I guess this "sub-faction specific" music really only applies to the Astartes and Chaos Marines, seeing how the Eldar and Orks look fairly similar from one warband/craftworld to the next, color schemes and emblems aside. Then again, i'm not a huge buff on the Eldar and the Orks, so maybe someone here can prove me wrong. Now, if by some chance Imperial Guard fans will get their wish, I would imagine if, say, the Cadians were a choice which we all know would most likely be the case, this would be their theme. I personally like all of the music here. Warhammer 40k MUST have some form of grim music, whether it's battle music for the WAAAAGH, synth for the sneaky Aspect warriors, deep horns for the followers of Chaos, or epic choirs for the Emperor's chosen. In 40k, or in any kind of fiction, movie, or game, the music has to be right on the mark with appearance, tone, and personality(I'M LOOKING AT YOU 2001: SPACE ODDYSSEY ). Knowing how awesome you guys at B.E. are, I don't think you'll have much of a problem matching the music.
I always love listening to O Verona: When it comes to space marines or the Imperium in general I feel like they need to have heavy vocals and deep voices. To show the power and masculinity that the imperium represents. Orks should feature heavy drums and should be very tribal, lots of acoustics and should be loud and proud above all else. Blaring horns of war, and war drums and a heavy beat that sounds like the thundering of boots.
not sure if anyone posted it yet, but if I am chaos, I want to hear "push it" and "bled for days" by static-x blaring while I am doing my thing around the battlefield. just saying!
