Another thought off the top of my head on the whole meltabomb thing. Since trinkets are becoming percentage based, the thought occured to me about melta bombs being percentage based as well. As in dealing a percentage of the maximum health of a vehicle. So a bomb that deals 60% of a rhinos maximum health would also do 60% of a wave serpent's maximum health, etc. Good or bad? NOTE: I'm not saying melta bombs should do 60% damage. That number was just for example purposes. Note 2: After feedback a third option has been added. This option would deal some of its damage in flat numbers, say 200, and a percentage of the vehicles CURRENT health value. This is a departure from the original post but is still worth looking into. Again, all numbers are purely for example purposes.
NO if damage 60% both serpent and rhino then difference in remained healthpoints will cause difference in TTK for meltagun/fusion gun its a direct nerf to elder dragon
It wouldnt change the ttk for the Fire Dragon anyway; Either way, it still takes two bombs to destroy transports. Unless you have a problem with the highest population faction needing to use a modicum of teamwork to match the FD's TTK. I mean, it's not like the Eldar need to coordinate on literally every other task with barely half (and in some cases less) the EHP of their opponents.
