Joining as a group is all well and good, I'd do it if I had friends that played. But the staggering lack of any kind of coordination at all is just mind-blowing. I understand that pugs likely aren't in it for team play, but Throne Alive people, ask for support, lend support, pick people up. Shoot the right guys.
I posted something about this before. And it quickly devolved into name calling and trolling one other. And the thread had to be shut down. So please say objective. Now about the topic at hand. This game has a heavy emphasis on team play. Now with that being said. It doesn't mean that you HAVE group up with your friends or join a guild/clan. What it does mean, is that you should be situationally aware. That means you should be looking at the point control status at the top of your screen to know what is being captured and what is not being captured. As well as looking on your map and taking note for where your team is pushing. Running around and ignoring your teammates doesn't help your team push an objective. UNLESS you're actively calling out targets with your mic. Thus, being a scout and increasing your team's situational awareness.
/Engage in mini rant /Warned Heck, got a stacked team ? I will be sure to join on the other side making you work for that clan tag you have on the front of your name. Mon-Keigh, Bring it !!! * The only way to get better is to play a better opponent, this is why many player sit in a certain skill bracket and get shredding by clan members, even if there is only 1 person playing. ** Want to get better at the game? Play against good people. *** I que solo. I call out points, Ask for healing, Rez players, Dont TK, Share ammo, Call out if some one has someone behind them, if they are pinned, tell them to hit "a" , "b" , "c" or "d" if they need help. I also tell every person who helps me up TYVM **** We can all be a team, The "Z" button says hello. ***** The best score and gameplay I had came from a Pug. P.u.G = Pick Up Group
And then you were kicked off the team because you were not a guildy and they wanted to make room for a teammate.
The only problem I have with ream playing is that the good players say the newbies that they are weak and they are losing coz of them they forgot at some time they also were newbies
There is a level of newbie tho. I went in game for the first time, i focused objectives for most part and got the kills defending them. I didnt go out of my way wandering the map hunting for kills because KD IS IMPORTANT!!!
I have never said I lost because of a newb. I have however said I lost because we didn't have enough teamwork.
This is why I like playing on the losing team. A caveat though: Once guilds become more prominent the PUG slaughter will get worse as well as the abuse of the Kick system. A lot of people don't have the mentality that they are in it to get better; they are in it to win with high K/D ratios. If 90% of games become spawn camping you will kill off the casual players, which is the blood of the game. Encouragement, active recruitment, and shaming of toxicity will keep this game alive and healthy.
The other day I was playing outside of playing with my guild as a Apothecary. I was using the ingame voice etc and trying to support my squad. What dawned on me half way through a game is that none of our tacticals even realised THEY were the ones supposed to be capping as they walked aimlessly by the undefended objectives. :s
/rant start {Agrees} When I play a new game typical I try to learn about the game before trying to beat / play people who may have literally hundreds of hours of game play. WARNING (Not Going to Candy Coat) You cannot program for stupidity, lack of experience or willingness to learn something new. You have to start on the bottom and work your way up. Sorry this is how life is. The amount of complaints about teams / groups is something I have never seen in my 20+ years of gaming and online forums ( This is seriously htting World of Warcraft level of QQ, which is sad) If you don't like things that are hard or a challenge there is thing called life, and it will most likely ROLF stomp into the ground, if playing against a team in a game is too hard and ruins your day. Special Snow Flakes Need to Watch This. * Keep blaming people for your performance. It will make you better I swear.....
