I think we can all agree that in game stores wether p2w or not are a cancer in the game industry currently and is abused beyond belief. Not enough people challenge the notion of it and thus it goes unchecked. Personally I don't care if a game has a store or not but I would prefer if the store only sold cosmetics over anything else just skins.
Well then you have to be the first person I've heard complain about dying to the fire dot so much. Because statistically it takes the exact same number of shots to kill with either AC or AG. p2w means it has to have some mechanical kill advantage over all the other non RTC weapons that allows you to have the best advantages that can only be paying for the weapon. None of the RTC weapons meet this, and all the OP weapons that put the RTC weapons to shame are not RTC weapons.
Not to mention I have tests it out and no matter what you can't die to the heat damage even being healed by a sorc. You will always die due to the autocannon before the heat gets that high. Sure may be a very rare chance you die from it in a unique situation but not enough to make it usefull
If you're at full health 2 shots won't kill you and 3 would kill you regardless of the DoT, but if you're already missing a little armor or health at the beginning of the engagement the DoT is more than capable of finishing you off after 2 shots, something the regular AC wouldn't do. So, you see, it does takes less shots to kill than a regular AC, already one of the strongest weapons in the game. it also leaves you at a much worse situation than just being shot at 2 times by a regular AC because it deals 30 extra damage in those 2 shots. The AG does 296(266 direct + 30 dot)/12.5m-225.42(195.42 direct + 30 dot)/100m Damage The AC does 266/12.5m-195.42/100m Damage What means the AG can potentially kill an Eldar in two shots to the body while the AC can't, proving you wrong again. Trying to say the AG is not a P2W weapon is just silly blatant famboyism. Don't get me wrong, it's the lesses of this game's many sins and not as bad as people make it ou to be, but it is undeniably P2W for as long as they don't release the dot mod.
It's more grind to win, although the amount of grinding isn't that high compared to some games. Stick with one character, and you soon have most of the weapons, mods and veteran slots to boot. There are some good weapons to buy for RTC, but their regular versions are so similar that it hardly makes a difference whether you've an autocannon or one of the best RTC weapons; Abaddon's Grace (an autocannon with built in mods).
So you're basing your definition of P2W off the fact that if two people are shooting you, you die faster than if one person was shooting you? Come on man.
no pay too win , disavantage in the long run except for the Powerfists,Abadons Grace I allready changed all the heresy/rtc guns for master crafted guns with the mods ,expect for The Powerfist(RP one is still locked because i used all the RP for the crates and still do ) would make sense to bring those mods(flames etc) later ,or with the next big content patch into the game !?!? Its like porn either u like it or not !
