"Ah, finish him off," Satharn spat in disgust as the Khornate crawled his way to defeat. Couldn't even die except on his knees. He gave the smaller man a nod and stood up straighter, looking to slowly alert Fera to his presence without any sudden moves. Before the medic could take the shot, she had killed her opponent with a swift dispatch. The Night Lord approved of the efficiency. He took a path down to the waiting killer and glanced over his shoulder as he did so ( @Uriel1339 ).

"I want off this planet," he began without preamble. Best to be direct. "I have skills with stealth, infiltration, and," the grin was audible in his voice, "effectively applied violence. "Will you accept my assistance? Together we can bring death the the servants of the Corpse Emperor." He stood straight, not pleading at all but doing the warrior the honour of trusting her enough to think that she wouldn't just shoot him. Not easy for a son of Nostramo; but then Satharn had learned something about dealing with others in his travels away from the sunless world.

"That man making his way down the hill is with me, he says he's a medic. Looks like we might have need of him. Of course if he's lying, I can give you his head."

Endeavouring to join Satharn (and Valu) to Fera's group.

Fera spotted movement out of the peripherals at her eyes, Turning her head she saw the night lord presenting himself in a way he was seen not sneaking but putting himself forth, brave and taking a chance as if taking a strike but now at a opportunity to work together with someone for another objective they all likely wanted, something she could respect. There tactics of war while not fully honorable were a tactic of war and still one that had its effect on those of weaker spines and deserved some credit.

Seeing him offer his aid and wanting off this planet like him and telling of his skills Fera nodded to the night lord, "Defiantly we will need all the skills, Strength, and help we can get." Fera said looking to the Night lord, Suddenly hearing the message over the vox she seemed to react to it. A smile under her helmet as she now saw a way out of the hole that they had been left in a opening within the struggle they were in to get a grip and advantage a chance to survive this.

"Seems like someone is offering a way out possibly, Even if it is a goose chase it will likely be a good chance to see who this and if they have a means of leaving this palce, If they are right about the imperials coming we will need to get going to escape this planet before the end of the day." Fera said now looking over to the Chimera, "And we may have ourselves a form of transportation with this chimera if it still runs." Fera said looking over to the chimera motioning the others over as she moved towards it slowly approaching the back of it then entering it and seeing if the drivers controls and cogitators were available for them to use, and possibly leave this area together.

"Well greetings to you as well Night Lord." Orghast smiled easily at the sudden appearance of Satharn. "Mmm, as for madness, you make it sound like a disease miss. I like that." Chortling the Astartes walked over to Malek's corpse and his hound, utterly ignoring the Lacrymole; far beneath his attention right now. "Come along, see if we can't help get that Chimera started." Of course the engineering of metal and circuitry was beyond his ken, he could pilot most vehicles, but affecting any repairs was a moot point. If nothing else his geneforged strength ought to help with getting the transport unseated from any sort of mud or entrapment among the other wrecks.

Satharn nodded to the other easily.

"Satharn Tem, Fourth Claw, Fifth Company, Night Lords Legion," he said, standing up straight and giving the old pre-civil-war salute. It was hard to tell how much of this was without irony but the stiffness of his backbone suggested that he still found some value in the old title.

"I was a Sergeant until about five minutes ago. Typical. Warp take that kalshiel Abaddon and all his merry crew."

"You are not the only one wanting to get away." Valu said supporting the idea as the message of the mysterious saviour came through his vox-bead. The alien in disguise crawled out of his little hiding spot as Satharn introduced himself, hurrying to the Night Lords side.

He made a greeting of his Khornate warband to Fera, having it learned swiftly during his service amidst the Berserkers. "Valu. Medic. I belonged to the warband of Malek, though my mortal life for now seems to belong to Lord Astartes Satharn Tem, for sparing my life."

His eyes fixated on the Nurgling. "I have no knowledge of engineering, but does any of you need treatment? Though I'm not even sure where to start with.... That." He pointed at Orghasts open wound, then readied his Las-rifle, looking towards the sky and around in paranoia, expecting underground worms to spit out, bombers to rain hell upon them or perhaps even the torn apart Malek to rise from the dead.

His sack with the Khorne icon on his forehead hid his identity rather well, but it was better to be a nobody that nobody cared about than a special individual. Not to forget nobody would notice if he would change his form, simply having 'taken his sack off'. He grinned in satisfaction of how his long-term plan of revenge against the Imperium yet had a chance to blossom.

Looking upon the Marine and the other human through her optical mechadendrite, Valeforia listened to both them talking and the message on the channel before she thought about showing herself to them. After all, she wasn't going to take a chance on two people she felt were going to try something with her, and that meant listening in on them.

However, any sense of paranoia about if she should trust the marine and cultist or not was pushed off the cards by the message over the channel. given it was now clear that she didn't really have the option of picking and choosing who she was going to be with if she wanted to get off the planet alive.

So the Techpriestess stepped out from her piece of cover and said to the one that had called out for her ( @Kalle )
"Yes, I'm the person who stepped in with that Autocannon, and yes getting off the world is a priority, given all that's going on. Even if I'm very much of the opinion that the Gods aren't in the mood for blessings."
She then paused, and looked at both human and Marine with her eyes "So, I'd presume that we follow message on the channel I hope we all heard, the one about the hill, because so far, that seems to be our only even remotely realistic hope of getting off world."

Sufficed to say, the sound of this new individual had interested the Sorcerer, turning his back and making his way towards this hill that it spoke of.
"I shall seek out this 'hill'; I need to get off this planet. If you wish to join me, then it's best to do so now." He said as his parting words; there was little more to do, after all.

    Mustn't tally!

...Tarry... Is it-- Tally or Tarry? He forgot at times like this; most of the time it got mixed up in his head; so little time socializing and grasping at the more detailed parts of speaking left him a bit rusty.

For a moment it went though Sobek`s head that the plan he concocted so impulsively, would work flawlessly. Getting him to safety and punishing the half-breeds that dared to intrude upon his grounds without permittance! But then his shoulder exploded in white hot pain, the force of it swinging him sideways onto the floor.

Luckily for Sobek, his mutations and augmentic grafting did not make entirely human, or human at all. With a gasp of utter astonishment escaping his mask, Sobek picked himself up from the floor, adrenaline and abnormal amounts of fear rocking his very being. Making his way outside in a swaying manner almost tripping several times from the amount of shock, blood and oil dripping from where large portion of his shoulderblade where, Sobek looked around himself.

The thick stench of burning and soot replaced that of rust, spoiled meat and oil as he made it outside. Frantically turning his beaked mask left and right, Sobek spotted three more half-breeds. However he did not had time to think of them, the shock of the situation and the instinct for survival kicking in, Sobek took cover behind the corner, drawing his webber pistol from beneath the voluminous ochre robes. One of the Astartes pursued him, and from the look of his battle-plate he was not damaged by the rigged explosion, however one of his shoulder-plates were crumpled with storm bolter shells that Sobek peppered him with before.
The thought of such a hasty plan, sent both tinglings of pride and sorrow, for he damaged and killed demi-gods. However, a tang of sorrow would not be washed with adrenaline rush and euphoria, knowing that he lost his servo-skull, feeling the connection with it broken. Just a machine, just a tool...

As Marine prepared to fire again, Sobek fired at him, webs of almost unbreakable filament wire emerging, as ex-Cyrabor aimed to enclose his attacker`s upper portion of the body to the wall.

Not replying to Corbulus and probably too in shock to pay attention to the vox broadcasts at all.
Getting out of his workshop/motor pool to take some fresh air and see if sun is still shining.

Corbulus gave an interested look at the Thousand Son sorcerer that just showed up to the area. For a moment, he thought that would be his ticket off this foul Imperial rock they called a fortress world. Then the Alpha Wolf realized that if the sorcerer had enough power or wits to conjure up a portal, the Thousand Son wouldn't be standing where he could see him. Just then, the commotion from the building drew his eyes back in that direction, as the heretek rushed out after the explosion within occurred, pursued closely by the Black Legionnaires. Between the ongoing fight and the sorcerer, Nero seemed about to piss himself over the vox.

"Calm yourself boy, neither of them concerns us still," Corbulus replied over the vox, annoyed that all that was left of his warband was this undisciplined rookie. Just then, the voice spoke over the general channel, offering a way off world. The Alpha Wolf considered it a moment. Convenient that a way out would be presented to him just as an Imperial Battlegroup approached the world's orbit. A part of Corbulus hoped that this was the will of the Dark Gods to have some respite, a chance for them to earn back their favor. A much larger and cynical part of him saw it as a last laugh trap left behind by Abaddon just to screw any survivors over. Either way, he had little choice.

"Orders?" Nero asked, as Corbulus resisted the urge to tell the boy to put his own bolter barrel into his mouth and squeeze the trigger. After exhaling, he loosened the grip on his chainaxe slightly before looking at the heavily assailed heretek. Either the Dark Mechanicum didn't hear or didn't care for the Alpha Wolf's offer; it didn't matter which, since the answer was the same. Turning, he walked away from the motor pool.

"Shoot anyone that attacks me, then provide covering fire until we're out of the area. Hold your fire on all other targets. We have a new destination to get to." Though Corbulus looked as though he turned his back to the fighting, a part of him was keenly aware of what was going on. A mere ruse to half hold up his more dominant position and half to make his opponents overconfident, he would counter attack any of the fools that try to fight him despite their tactical withdrawal, the heretek included should he try to assault him as well.

    OOC:
Nero: Full attack on whoever attacks Corbulus, if only one opponent does that, then switch second move to defensive move.
Corbulus: Double defensive move (or however many allowed while withdrawing)

Finding a piece of metal that was once part of the roof and using it as cover, Sobek turned back just in time to see the Black Legionary march out of the garage and level his bolter at him. Firing the webber pistol the Cyrabor only managed to encase one of the Chaos Marine's arms in the filament wire as the Astartes moved out of the way of the projectile. Using his bolter with one hand now he opened fire and the bolts exploded all around the heretek, destroying his cover and blowing up chunks of his flesh and armor, dropping him on the ground in a pool of blood. However thinking that his target was taken out and the fact that he spotted a way tastier prey, the Black Legionary turned his attention on Corbulus and rose his wired arm to try and use it to help level his bolter.

Whatever would've happened if he fired that shot nobody would ever know as his helmet exploded couple of seconds later, Nero being the marksmen dropping the enemy on the spot and ending the threat right then and there. But before he could send a message via vox loud sound of engines growling could be heard coming from the motor pool as two remaining Chaos Marines grabbed hold of two bikes and with the screaming of tires, charged out of the pool and away from this place. They of course opened fire with the twin-linked bolters slaved to their vehicles but both Corbulus and Nero ducked behind cover and remained in one piece. In any event, the Black Legionaries soon left the scene and allowed both surviving Wolves of Horus as well as Sobek, who despite his wounds was still alive, to either talk it out or simply grab hold of the nearest transport and head towards the meeting hill as well, if they wished to leave the planet soon.

OOC you can take a Rhino or bikes or a Land Speeder for your transport, doesn't make much difference to me :) Ofc Land Speeder can fit only 2 marines, so if that happens to be the case Sobek would have to grab himself a Rhino or something else.

Someone used vehicles, someone used their feet, but in the end, everyone reached the place the mysterious message pointed them to. It was a hill pretty normal as hills go, although as they approached it they would see that it was covered with fog but its origin wasn't on the top of the hill, rather than it was surrounding it like some kind of a sickness. It hindered their navigation a bit but as they started climbing they would reach an Imperial Guard outpost that once served as a main hub controlling this part of the defenses as the trenches slowly disappeared to make room for more solid defensive structures.

Filled with hangars and bunkers, stretching for at least half a mile, the place which was once filled with couple of thousand souls was now a ghost town. Empty buildings, some brought low by artillery fire while others simply stared back deserted gave the place an eerie feel. It didn't look like the outpost suffered much damage overall and it made sense since it was a little bit out of the way, guarding the north approach to the fortress line while the invasion force mostly used the central and southern points of entry and spearheaded their assault keeping that in mind. Finally, at first nobody could see any bodies but as such things go, the grisly sight welcomed them not too soon after they crossed the outpost and reached its far end.

There were three roads in total leading into the place, the leftmost one was used by Ausarius (and later on Sobek, Corbulus and Nero) to get here, the path winding through barren steppes was somewhat easy to traverse. Central one was used by Attelus, Valeforia and Xaviera, following the endless lines of trenches and barbed wire they eventually reached the fortress with some luck as they also encountered couple of additional Imperial patrols on the way but successfully evaded them all. Rightmost and final path was used by Fera, Orghast (and his pet), Satharn and Vanu, riding past the multiple defensive fortifications the team could see other Fortresses all built up in almost symmetrical precision now cracked open and turned into ruins, it would seem that nothing survived Abaddon's ire. At least nothing made of stone and concrete. All three roads led to outpost but only one led out of it, a winding path that climbed up the hill and was lost amid the rocks. It is in its base that they saw the first couple of corpses, followed by the bodies in their dozen.

Imperial Guardsmen mixed with Cultists dominated the area and at first glance, it looked like they were remains of a battle that decided the end of this outpost. However at closer inspection, it turned out that some of those bodies were quite fresh, the death visited those poor sobs recently and more importantly, after the bombardment. As they followed the road the more bodies littered the ground and reaching up to some kind of a makeshift barricade on top of which stood quite an imposing figure.

Clad in rust-ridden archaic power armor the figure was easily at least a head and a half taller than their tallest Space Marine. Skin riddled with maggots, pus seeping out the pores and all kinds of nasty things danced around the creature's form while instead of its right arm it had a giant tentacle-like extension that ended up hefting a giant scythe, while in the other hand (the normal one) it carried some kind of a skull. Speaking of skulls, the creature which was undoubtedly an Astartes once, had its face covered in a horned helmet with both of its eye-lenses closed by some kind of an infection. Next to it, behind those barricades stood two Chaos Marines, both of them had holes in their armor from which green fluid poured out but interestingly enough, where the Nurglite had marks of the XIV Legion on his ugly army, the other two were a different story. One carried the colors of the Word Bearers while the other one was an Alpha Legionary. Word Bearer carried a flamer while a chainsword was locked to his thigh, while son of Alpharius satisfied himself with a simple bolter.

Orghast instantly recognized the man in the center, it was his old comrade in arms and one of the main leaders of Death Guard forces in this system, Plaguebringer Ukris. Although despite how others may look at him, Orghast was well-aware that before the invasion and subsequent failure like himself, Ukris was much more blessed when it came to Grandfather's gifts, this Marine in front of him now was actually nothing special. Couple of gifts, nothing more than that, but due to the current situation it still made him quite dangerous, especially when he began talking.

"Lord of Decay has deemed this planet his garden," Plaguebringer said, his voice more of a gurgle and everyone had to really focus to understand his words. "None may leave it without being gifted by His love. Love that all of us will share in the end." There were even bodies of other Astartes lying around the ground, Corbulus, Nero and Sobek too spotting two dead Black Legionaries nearby alongside their bikes, one of them was cut in two by a lengthy strike of something large while the other one was turned into a charred corpse covered in green ooze. Definitely not a pleasant fate.

All three groups eventually saw each other and while Ukris and his men didn't open fire (they kinda stood there right in the middle of the road behind those barricades) nor did they make any movement, there was no way around them nor was there any way to bring a vehicle up without completely blocking everything as the path narrowed down to allow 4-5 Marines to stand shoulder to shoulder. In any case, if they desired to reach the top of the hill, they had to go through this Plague Marine and his entourage.
