The Dark Apostle emerged. Xaviera walked with the gods' favored. He was beautiful and horrible and she was breathless. The initial shock wore off, however --- it was not as though she had never seen a Word Bearer upon Holy Sicarus itself, but she was still awed whenever one revealed himself to her. He spoke, and she listened with the same craving a thirsting woman might crave water. His words slaked that thirst.

The psyker inwardly bemoaned her wretched appearance before her liege, but she decided not to draw his eye, not yet, not until she could right herself and make herself presentable to him again. Her eyes wandered, and the cloudy purples found the unfamiliar Khornate and their Navigator prize in hushed conversation. Her brows furrowed. Strange. Suddenly, the Khornate drew his knife, and there was a terrible pang of panic through her. "Wait!" she cried out, but then he turned the knife and... she grimaced, having overreacted. Though one never knew with the Blood God's devoted. She drew a shaky breath, then began to approach the two.

"Lady Delilah, your Admiral Augustine has much to tell you. We came here to release her from her bonds, but she would not leave without you and asked us to bring you to her unharmed... and I would hate to break this promise," she said, eyeing Kombuse. "... I understand this may be some rite of yours, but... I implore you to wait. Navigator, we have a ship and crew, we have the Admiral and her officers. We'd love to be able to present you to your mistress, our promise kept," she insisted, her own purples fixing on the mutant's eyes.

"I...I would," the girl replied, tentatively taking hold of the knife and pressed little, watching Kombuse's sliver of blood spilling on the sharp edge. "And I understand. I'm sorry, I just...I just felt like a helpless child, led on a merry chase by that..that thing. I wanted to feel in control again. My name is..." and she was interrupted by another woman, this one having the looks of a cultist that went through quite a fight, judging by the burns on her body.

"You have Admiral...on your side?" Delilah sounded somewhat surprised, "And she asked for me...well of course, the old lady never leaves her men behind if she can help it, it's why she ended up in this crappy place in the first place. Then I guess I owe her...and you, my life," she said and handed the knife back to Kombuse, "I'm grateful for it and don't worry, I won't cause any trouble."

  3. Kombuse smiled under the mask and nodded. "Yea, that's not an easy feeling to get over, know that myself." he said with a voice that empathized with her as he slide the knife back into its' sheath that was just as stained as it was. They were interrupted when the woman in the black body suit and a jacket of.....human skin? He couldn't help but think she was a follower of the Prince, which earned a frown that was hidden behind the flesh hound mask. Those purple eyes didn't help either. "See, I guess your Admiral was ok with them too." he assured, shaking her hand with the one that was cut to seal his loyalty pact to her before turning his attention to the other lady. @Kalle "Um, I'm Kombuse, Blood Pact soldier under Urlock Gaur. Well....formerly I guess now." He introduced himself, holding out his unblooded hand to her for a shake. She looked beat up and pretty burnt, guess that meant she would at least stay in the fight and that mattered to him.

All Ausarius did was tilt his head ever so slightly, and remain quiet - he saw his attention was to the Night Lord and instead, looked to the Navigator and... Blood Pact.

Kombuse could almost feel the judgemental stare boring through him, the large, azure-plated Astartes looking him over. Still, he seemed to actually be polite at least, and that was enough, the spear resting itself back against his shoulder as he stepped forward.
"If you don't mind my asking - why had they decided to set you in this... Facility? If you have any knowledge, of course."

Satharn nodded and took up a wary stance beside Ausarius, though mostly because of the prevalence of enemies. For all his words about damned witches, the Night Lord was doing some hard thinking. Perhaps the Son of Magnus was subject to the same strange euphoria he had been. Maybe he should keep a closer eye on that, rather than the warp antics. And Ausarius was at least pointed at the enemy and quite able.

"Will do," he said, quietly, "effective, those powers of yours. Wouldn't suit me, mind, too much bright light."

There was some wonder as to where the little medic had got to. Satharn realised that he had assumed that he had gone to ground in the combat. It wasn't so far-fetched, given how he had found him, but he should not be making assumptions in this strange place. He berated himself silently for losing his edge. Never can be too paranoid. As if on cue Valu returned bearing a gift, a chainsword of all things. It was, he supposed, the thought that counted.

"No need for gifts, medic. I can see you aren't a frontline man. Good job on finding the Navigator." Satharn paused. "And you don't have to sweeten me with gifts, I'm not your wife." He grinned under his helm. "Unless you're telling me you haven't really been working late at the office."

"Fellow travelers on the path of true devotion, I greet you," the Dark Apostle spoke, his tones low and powerful, the tattoos, no, the holy script on his naked flesh burned with malefic energies. "I walk once again, free of the feeble chains with which the servants of the false messiah tried to control me. Tell me, where is Viator? We have much to discuss."

He was an imposing figure, one of the devoted - a follower of the Dark Gods in a way Satharn could never quite understand. No true Night Lord would give himself over to the Powers. Use them, yes, bargain or trade, but worship?

"However before I do anything else, there's something I need to know," his tone was now lower, more intense, turning his stare from Ausarius towards Satharn. "Tell me, is it true? Does he live again?"

The Night Lord paused. In his mind, he ran over the revelation once again. The night-tinted halls, the dull gleam of eyeshine. The scent of old blood. Ragged nails and a pauper's clothing. The lank hair, the spare yet powerful build, slender and tall; the voice. Satharn would know his Lord from voice alone even if none of his other senses remained. He nodded, swallowing unbidden as emotions threatened to spill over. Not in front of the Colchisian. He stood a little straighter, allowing the wonder and pride in his voice to show. Not, in truth, that he had much choice.

"Yes. It is true. The Nightfall stalks the stars once more, the Lord Curze is with us. The Night Haunter has risen from the darkness to lead his sons once more."

"Death to the False Emperor, Brother. Ave Dominus Nox."

"O-o-of course N-not... Thank you." Valu said, first to the comment of Satharn being his wife, the comment startling and even somehow scaring him. What if he was to react wrong to it? Was it a joke, was it some accustomed phrase of a Night Lord? He has seen so much, yet so little of Astartes. The second was in regards of the compliment of finding the navigator, as well as the fact he could keep the chainsword. With pride, perhaps a sense of honor, he slung the las rifle over his shoulder and carried the chainsword with both hands, not being well trained with it. Which was quite ironic, considering he was pretending to be a Khornate, and that it was not human-sized, wielded prior by a female.

He gave the chainsword a few test swings, leaving the engine off to not scare anyone or attract more foes. It was heavy and unbalanced. An awkward, crude blade. Compared to the knives and swords of the pointy eared demons of Comorragh anyhow.

After the apologies were made and accepted, he listened to the rest that Satharn had to say to the Apostle. But also he was paying attention to their surrounding, making sure that nobody who wasn't supposed to was listening. Yet no matter how much he looked around, he could never find the pair of eyes that he felt staring at him...

Xaviera was all smiles. "I am Xaviera, of the Brotherhood of the Knife --- sworn to the Word Bearers," she explained, though her smile somewhat dimmed at that. "Unfortunately, I am separated from my lords, but these individuals are my... fire-forged friends," she said, lighting up again and accepting his hand, giving it a dainty shake. Then, she turned her eyes on the Navigator. "I guarantee you your safety and good use for your skills," she assured the woman. "I give you my word."

"Oh, so I guess you're happy he's here then." he guessed, nodded his helmeted head toward Gallek. The pact trooper never really meet anyone with them that wasn't one of the giants, but if she was anything like them he would guess she respected all four of the gods. 'So she's not a full follower of the pink pansy.' he thought to himself with a smirk.
    @Vulpas
He turned his attention to the woman in power armor, who was lugging around a heavy bolter, that spoke to him about glory and fighting. "Hell, I'll just take the ticket to get out of here. The fighting is just the bonus, glory, eh I can take or leave that. Only gets you far as long as people give a damn." He shrugged before looking at the guards, having a look of disdain at them. "Not sure how far you can trust people willing to switch sides so easily, but fine, I won't torch them. For now." he promised, keeping himself near Delilah for the time being.

There was a long pause at Kombuse's comment.

    "Overjoyed."

And with that, the Thousand Son sorcerer rolled his shoulders before tapping the force spear upon the floor.

"Now then," Ausarius said, "shall we get moving?" If there wasn't anything to do aside from this, the Prosperan would get to leading the way back upwards!
