Valus controlled, calm breathing immediately turned into a fast paced panting, hardly able to keep calm and semi-panicking. There were many things not just an Alien, but any cultist might be afraid of - one such thing being the Angels of Death. And sadly for his current situation, he had seen too many Astartes kill too many for not many reasons, like that insane Malek.

"Don't kill me. I have knowledge. I'm a medic. Even can do some surgery. Also, you see that guy." He nodded with his head towards Malek. "He is crazy, a mad one, served under him for a while. He would kill anyone, the way we got abandoned. If you and I help that crazy woman up there, we could stop him."

Satharn didn't even need to make an effort to read the body language and mentality of the hooded cultist. His eyes and tone of voice gave his fear away, and his indirect begging for his life. For sure, the Night Lord terrorized him merely with his sudden appearance and deep, masked stare.

Valu grabbed his las rifle tightly, ready to defend himself to the death should the Astartes attack, yet he also knew deep in his guts that no matter what he might try - the Space Marine will act twice as fast.

OOC: Trying to convince Satharn that Valu is valuable; all-out-defense in case of PvP or being discovered.

"YOU HAVE KILLED MY FRIEND, SCUM!" The Prosperan shouted out as he sent bolts of death upon the Prisoners, watching with a sickened sense of accomplishment at seeing the sizzled corpses falling dead, now pulling his hand back to take ahold of his spear with both hands and lunging forward - his anguish and rage as unrestrained as it had been ten millennia ago upon the streets of Prospero itself, the memories of his trusted comrades falling to the accursed Space Wolves burning into his mind once more - only for the insulting thought to be worsened in seeing comrades taken not by Astartes, but meagre, cowardly humans who'd jumped at the chance to attack a weakened foe.
He felt his muscles tighten and harden to living metal as he'd intended, the surge of power causing him to tighten his grip on his beloved Spear and charge forth - the Warp guiding his blows and amplifying his strength to degrees that could frighten even other Astartes.

The weapon was soon jabbed forward as he attempted to impale the enemy prisoners who dared to attack him - but most of all, such things were of little importance as he more accurately, rushed forward towards the body of his former friend, from there attacking those prisoners who dared to remain too close to it - for the most part aside from this he would look down at the deceased companion, taking in a few heaving breaths and holding his weapon close, even turning to look at other humans now, as though to judge their reactions, their feelings.

"...Are you happy with what you've done?" He asked, his voice little more than a whisper now as he gestured to the Iron Warrior. "Are you content to have killed a man weak, and defenseless? A man wronged by the blasted Imperium which never bothered to give a second glance or investigation, a man who was forced to fight?!" He snapped, his spear being brought forth to point at them all.

"What did you hope to gain from this?! Freedom was, is in reach! Why did you decide to stay and fight!?! To sacrifice your lives in vain for- for what? The appeasement of some arrogant fool light years away who never knew you existed? Who does not know your damned struggle??" A moment of silence went by before he clutched at his chest now, taking in a breath and shaking his head.
"... If you wish to leave, leave. I won't see to stopping you - you've killed my companion, and the others seem content to rest in the afterlife." Ausarius murmured, now, looking around at the environment for whoever may have survived. "If you wish to stay and fight, I will oblige; but I shall let you flee if you so desire."

"All I seek thus far, are companions. Allies - people to be alongside. And you've taken them from me." He spat, the Sorcerer, straightening himself - clearly presenting himself now. Despite the battering his armour had taken, despite the tears in his robes and the cracks along the ceramite plating and his headdress, despite the odd pieces of rebar that had been stuck in him and the shrapnel that was within his very body, he presented himself with pride.
Not arrogance, not malevolence, but... Pride. He was proud of whom he was. Perhaps not his actions or company, but he was confident in his own being, and who and where he came from.
    And most of all, Ausarius presented himself in such a prideful manner, that it was clear what the Sorcerer's silence meant;

Come if you wish, Imperials. I shall meet you head on - not for Chaos, but for my survival and for my honour.

Satharn paused. Under his helm, his eyebrows rose unseen in surprise. He crouched lower, making sure he wasn't skylined and giving away his position.

"You're a medic?" He scanned the man before him. Preysight automatically providing targetting solutions. He switched them off with a blink-click and sat back a little on a large piece of rubble.

"Useful skill to have. Can you work under pressure?" Satharn didn't drop his guard, he was in a battlefield situation, but he wasn't intentionally threatening the smaller man. He kept an eye on the developing duel below. The woman was a tough one, clearly not aiming to back down. Clearly aiming to fight.

"You can tell me more about him while we wait. Watch the fight. If she looks like she's losing, shoot him. I'll do the same." He tapped his chainglaive lightly with one finger, not loud enough to rise above the general background noise. "If all else fails I have a counterargument to his posturing right here."

[OOC: Readying bolt pistol to shoot Malek. Wait to see and aid Fera if it looks like she's losing. Oh and don't kill the medic unless he's making some kind of horrible ruse to stab Satharn in the back. (I don't think he is, but Satharn is from Nostramo.)]

A moment of soul-crushing dread washed over him, when someone attempted to enter the vehicle. His beaked mask turned backwards to the passanger compartment, myriad of horrific thoughts rushing through his mind, each one more horrible then the next. He held no illusions of himself. Sobek knew that if a Legionnaire enters, he has no skill, strenght or firepower to fight him of.

But the hatch was sealed behind him. With an audible sigh that the mask turned into a gust of smoke, he turned foward observing the unfolding situation. Several calculations and projections ran thought his usually orderly mind, finding a scenario with a highest chance of survival. With one of the half-breeds attempting to engage the Rhino opposite of him, a smile passed behind his grim mask, made even more so by gloomy interior of the Rhino.

A plan was made. However it may include several undesirable concequences, but he will regret about them later! When one walked among the demi-gods, survival is all that matters.

Lacking the sublime interface of auto-sensoria that Legionnaire suit and augmentations provided, Sobek had to interface with the machine spirit of the Rhino directly, to wake him up. It was a prospect that did not appealed to him, considering that most of his bretheren made their living by changing the resident spirits into something, ugly? Divine? Sacrilegous? He couldnt find the word for it, he just hoped it wouldnt cost him his mind and soul.

Unfolding the cable beneath the bulky command console, he jacked it into his slot on the neck.

Persuading the entity that resided within the machine, that he as its current operator and caretaker merely wants to prevent from his kin falling into undeserving hands. The fact that he previously toiled just for that purpose, Sobek kept from the machine.

Rousing the Rhino`s petro-chem engine into life, its chimney coughing smoke while its entire metal frame shook with artificial life, Sobek slammed the throttle to the floor ramming himself into the Rhino opposite of him. He would calculate enough of a force to pin the opposite Rhino, just so that the Legionnaire within it puts more pressure on it, either on throttle or on activating it. During his brief dash toward the other machine, he will interface with the storm bolter, swiveling the turret toward the Legionnaires with their backs turned to him, and spraying them with staccato of bolter fire.

"Yes, yes I can, Lord Astartes. And." He cleared his throat, having swallowed a sweat pearl and inhaled some of the dirt of the hole he was hiding in.

"Malek The Madman is what they call him. Kills anyone for little less than a wrong glance at him. Likes to pretend to be strong as his gene-father, but he has no temper and is easily thrown in a rage. While it makes him stronger, he does not care about wounds as long as his foes die first. I have seen him once clubber another Astartes dead with his own arm as a weapon that was lost during combat. I'm surprised they manage to reattach it, to be honest. Either way. One insult regarding his heritage, and he loses his mind."

Valu explained, readying his las rifle to kill the Khorne wannabe Champion as instructed by the night lord. Loyalties after an apocalypse like this one were very fluid, especially if you were yet to be found out to be an alien, not a Khornate Serf with a surprising calmness. Still better than pretending to be a Wych. He shuddered on the memory, shaking them quickly off.

Malek's armor was way too damaged to withstand any real punishment and it also didn't help that Fera was using every advantage she had over him, not to mention that her aim was perfect. Heavy bolter blew off chunks of World Eater's chest, one of his hearts bursting out alongside a better part of his arm while the second salvo sliced through one of his legs and toppled the Astartes over. Instead of a proper answer, Malek gurgled and spat blood, crawling on the ground near the shrine like some discarded doll. Cultists saw what happened to their lord but instead of remaining, they were to fearful of the newcomers and once the leash the World Eater had on them slipped, they ran away, screaming in terror as they were lost amidst the wreckage.

Orghast's new pet remained by his side, growling as it watched its former master on the ground in near-death state. Hound almost gave chase but even it knew better than to just run into the heavy fire and get blow to bits. As for Fera herself, she was denied of a new batch of servants but in truth, they were so weak she was probably better off without them, She also spotted the Plague Marine approaching with his dog and since they were currently the only living beings around, maybe this was a time for another standoff? Also, given the fact she was looking for some kind of a ride out of here all she could see in their immediate vicinity that wasn't a blasted ruin was a Chimera transport - both of its tracks were intact although its back doors were nowhere to be seen as well as couple of pieces of metal armor on its sides. It also had its top open but it could probably serve Fera unless she decides to drive it into a proper gunfight.

As for Valu and Satharn, from their hiding spot they saw pretty much everything that transpired, quite an anti-climactic ending to what was supposed to be a bloody good duel. Although that World Eater was still crawling around and close to drowning in his own blood, quite an easy picking for whoever decides to take him out.

OOC @Vulpas or @Uriel1339 may emote finishing off Malek, he won't cause any more problems. With my next post I'll try to gather every player so feel free to emote meeting each other if you wish now. If not, tomorrow I'll move us to the second part of the prologue :)

Fera grunted as she saw the tribes man run, Running as there masters life blood spilled cowardly and disgusting to her, Her eyes moving over to the new comer she only went to her belt and grabbed her bolt pistol before aiming at the world eater gurgling on his own blood then firing towards his chest finishing him off. before returning her bolt pistol to her belt.

    @DeranVendar
Looking over to the new arrival she was semi glad to see he was not as hostile as it seemed as Malek, Though curious she could tell he was a plague marine of mortations ilk likely if the guts had any do to it. "Well now a servant of nurgle, I hope you have more spine and stay here." Fera said now looking to the plague marine her helmet keeping a watch on the son of nurgle wondering if he had any tricks up his sleeve, keeping her bolter in her hands she looked to him now facing mostly to him.

"So plague marine do you intend to stay here with most of this burnt planet, Or plan to try to leave this barren waste and try to return amoungst the Galaxy to try and spread many of Nurgles gift like your plague kin? If so it maybe in our best interests to seek a way off his planet working together and with any other surviving members raid band together, Get off this rock before possibly imperials return to clean up what abbadon left behind." Fera said looking to the plague marine and what seemed to be a surviving hound now serving him. She watched keeping her eye and weapon ready incase of any new comers or other threats that may come at them.

OOC all out defence, Basic diplomacy with Orghast and offering to work togther to escape this place.

"SLAANESH, WITNESS ME!" Geln shouted as he rose up on his feet once again, using the commotion created by the newcomer Chaos Marine, the cultist grabbed his knife and charged into one of the Guardsmen, felling him with an ugly strike that went through his lungs. "DARK PRINCE WATCHES OVE..." and he toppled on the ground, las-shot piercing his eye and boiling his brain. Final cultist met similar end as another two Imperials riddled him with las-burns, simple clothing not even nearly enough to prevent death.

Thankfully, this entire skirmish wasn't counting on two fanatics to win a day. Xaviera worked quickly and the bleeding stopped, giving her opportunity to raise her head above the trench just in time to hear (rather than see at first) loud noise of autocannon firing. But it was not the one which wounded her, it turns out that the Sentinel was knocked out and somebody else was firing...a some kind of a tech adept who seemed to be on their side.

Valeforia aimed as much as she could when single-handely firing a heavy weapon such as the autocannon, but the Imperials were close enough for her aiming skills not to matter that much. Shells ripped into the Guardsmen and two of them were blown to bits while a third lost his leg and dropped on the ground. Attelus, now given support fire, like a blazing ghost drove into the remaining Imperials slashing them apart with swift chops of his sword, also ending life of the Sentinel's pilot by crushing his chest with a violent boot-stomp. As quickly as it began the fight was over and silence once again fell on this part of the trenches, which was now only occupied by three different servants of the Dark Gods.

OOC Emote meeting each other if you wish. Tomorrow I'll move all of us to the second part of the prologue :)

"I guess he lost his favor with his god as much as many others here." Valu said with a slight hint of hysteria in his voice, laughing at the irony of how this famed warrior of his warband simply failed against a single enemy. He was yet hiding in his hole, unless ordered otherwise by the midnight clad warrior, being de-facto his servant now - or at least believing so, due to the mercy of having been left alive. Valu may not actively worship any sort of god or idol. But he definitely knew fate when it showed a lightning claw to his face and granted him mercy.

"Awaiting your orders, Lord Astartes." He clarified the situation, and his allegiance.

Watching these prisoners, Ausarius saw madness clearly in their eyes. Whatever torturing they suffered under the hands of Word Bearers priests and the horrors that came afterwards broke their minds and bodies, returning them to some kind of a primal state where they only knew for basic needs which were killing...and more killing. In this way they were no different than majority of cultists serving under Chaos Marines for a prolonged periods of time, a sad fact but nonetheless truthful - there was no mercy or compassion in this grim dark universe. But there was plenty of opportunity to slaughter those beneath you.

More shots ranged across his armor but they did the Sorcerer no damage as he patiently awaited for the incoming prisoners who in their misplaced fury terribly overestimated their chances. Ausarius' spear went through them like through air, their frail bodies no match for Prosperan metal. He killed three more prisoners before they broke and ran into the pits, leaving Ausarius amidst the corpses of both those he slayed and few of those the prisoner's themselves killed, his friend included. But then he heard familiar sound of bolter firing further to his left, couple of buildings down, it would seem that he wasn't the only Chaos Marine left standing in the aftermath of the bombardment.

Corbulus heard harsh laughter coming from the inside of the pool, the same Black Legionary from before speaking up again. "Bah, you make my sick Corbulus, all that talk and no show. You'll be smart to listen to my advice and get the hell out of there instead of barking at us like a dog, running around the master's house. Too late for that now, better..." and then bolters started firing - inside the motor pool!

Turning the Rhino on, Sobek ran it straight into the opposing transport and completely took the Chaos Marines by surprise given the fact they expected an attack from the outside, not from within. Crashing into the other one worked as intended and indeed, the Legionary inside of it worked fast, too fast to get his own Rhino going that he ignored the warnings on the multiple dials telling of engine temperature rising well over the accepted limits. Not caring, the Marine just pushed the activation button and slammed full speed in reverse and grinned as he saw his brothers turning around to deal with this hidden traitor driving a vehicle that should be rightfully theirs.

That was the last thing he did as the engine overheated and exploded, setting fire on some spare frag grenades in the back compartment, blowing up the entire vehicle alongside the Marine in it. The entire thing actually worked better than needed as the Rhino in which Sobek was currently hiding didn't go without suffering a significant amount of damage itself. Its front was melted, the window ports fused together and the Mystic had to quickly disengage with the machine as the consoles were fried, some of the fire damaging his bionic parts as well. But that wouldn't be as nearly as dangerous as the hull began rocketing under the impacts of bolts heading his way from three different Chaos Marines.

Sobek activated the storm bolter and the fire caught one of the Legionaries out in the open, spinning him around as his shoulder bone was crumpled alongside a better part of his armor before he ducked behind the Land Speeder and started firing from there. Another Marine fired and the storm bolter was blown to bits while the third Marine, using classic flanking strategy jumped on the vehicle and started hacking the hatch with his chainsword. Sobek didn't need to be a Cyrabor Mystic to know that even with his lock, hatch won't stay closed for long.

"Orders?" outside, it was Nero who spoke first, after hearing the explosion and gunshots the former Ultramarine eyed the entrance with his stalker bolter but made no intention of leaving his overwatch position, simply waiting on Corbulus to make his move. Even more gunshots could be heard now and there was no more talk coming from the Black Legionaries, whether they suddenly started killing each other out of boredom or something else was going on.

Black Legion GTA crew: 6/6/4 (bolters, chainswords)

    Sobek:6 (Rhino:2) Corbulus:9 Nero:8 Ausarius:6

Condition: Storm bolter is gone. Sobek's Rhino is too damaged to move. If not attacked, Chaos Marine no.1 will open up the hatch on the Rhino and attack Sobek directly on the next turn. Only one Black Legionary will have a bonus +3 on his attack against the first one who charges inside the pool, the rest are currently too busy with attacking Rhino in which Sobek is located.
