The Thousand Son gave off a disappointed sigh as he felt the faint stings from the incoming fire battering at his power armour; it hurt more in seeing it tear some of his robes apart, a brief frown coming to him. His spear tapped itself at the ground and as he watched Valu run past everyone, he felt another bout of irritation. Pointing his spear to the rockcrete laying about he used the unearthly powers laying within his mind to try lifting them up, and without further adue, threw it into the direction of the Techpriest, even as he built up more warpstuff within his muscles - feeling how they sent a wave of static through his senses. "We have a runner, it seems." He said through the vox to his allies in regards to the supposed 'fleeing'; he was satisfied with the throw of such heavy debris. Even if it somehow didn't crush the techpriest himself, it still would certainly damage the controls - wouldn't it? It didn't matter much of course, the next set of power that he displayed was yet another blast of pure psychic death, bolts reaching out from his fingertips to see about destroying the lone guard, uncaring now as to how gruesome his end may end up being; so long as he was ended. OOC: bonus attack used to rockcrete the Techpriest, smite on the Guard, defense on self. Mildly unhappy at the state of his robes
Again that strange feeling. A sort of - strange ecstasy. It wasn't the adrenaline of battle - Satharn knew that well. It wasn't the grim satisfaction of bringing judgement to the enemy. No, this was something else, and as much as Satharn found the heightened reflexes useful and the increased tolerance of pain handy, it was ... unnerving. It didn't feel clean. He snorted, trying to push away the odd sensation even as his enhanced physiology embraced it. The Night Lord swept his chainglaive down into the yielding form of the construct, feeling it give way like a collapsing ribcage. He growled, but could the dulled flesh beneath the metal even recognise the concept of Death to the False Emperor? He destroyed it anyway, shrapnel and wires splaying under his chainblade as it roared down. He looked around in a microsecond and registered the lack of backup. Just like old times. He had to keep the massed firepower off the more vulnerable members of the group if he wanted them to be of any use other than bullet collectors, so he concentrated as much lethal force as he could bring to bear on the next mechanical attacker. Attack, attack, defence on self.
Having just cut his way through the dog's turrets, Erelak looked up and around. He seemed a target that could bleed, could entertain him. Perhaps even beg for mercy. He always loved when they did that. He observed both the assembled imperial defenders, and those he fought alongside. Noticing an enginseer approaching these allies, ready to strike them, the decision was made. Erelak watched as one of their number attempted to fight it, before igniting his jump pack and leaping toward the enginseer, landing close by. "Face ME, Lapdog", he shouted, before charging toward the mechanical abomination. Ooc: Balanced - attack on enginseer, defence on self.
<Black site complex> @BuriasDempsey But there would be no reply coming from Gains the sanity has left the man some time ago (which was quite a feat for he sounded normal just ten minutes ago). Only thing that Kombuse saw in the guard's eyes was madness, close to what many Blood Pact soldiers, even he himself, experienced. The red touch of the Blood God. Kombuse's fist connected with Gains' head and he reeled back a bit but didn't fall. Second attack went wide and Kombuse saw that he drew blood from Gains but it wasn't nearly enough to floor the crazed guard. What was worse was that he also saw baton coming at him with dazzling speed and he heard a crack as it smashed into his face, breaking his cheek. He went down as blood filled his vision, but he managed to see crepy lady going after Gains, she was shorter than him but she wasn't weak. While she tried to wrestle for control of the waepon she received a hit across her chest but she didn't let go. Foller on the other hand looked properly spooked and froze in place while the coughing guy started coughing more violently and spat bloody phlegm as if something was trying to get out of his lungs. Crazy Gains:4 Kombuse:3 Creepy Lady:3 Coughing guy:2 Young officer:4
Staggering back to his feet and now having one side of him coated in blood in blotches from whoever Gains violently murder, having to spit a wad of blood that was both his and not out of his mouth and swearing he felt some of his teeth a little looser than they were before, he saw that the woman had more of a back bone than the 'officer' and tried to take the baton from Gains. He rushed for the crazed guard again, this time aiming a knee into the man's groin to get him to relinquish his hold on the baton and get his attention away from her. OOC: 1 attack, 1 defense on scary lady
<Overseer's office, black site complex> @Uriel1339 Getting past the fighting and into the side hallway proved to be easy for the Lacrymole, the others too busy with trying to defend the entrance and unable to spot the sneaky alien passing for yet another human. Valu got in and shut the door behind him, locking them from the inside and thus preventing anyone from reaching him although he also locked himself with whoever was on the other side. Not much of an issue at the moment as he crept through the corridor and reached the exit on the other side in no time. Doors were half open and peeking in, Valu saw that the room inside was some kind of a security center with an wall directly across him entirely covered in monitors that had the feed from cameras all over the prison complex, even from here the alien could see various cells, corridors, mess areas, in most cases there was fighting going on between guards and presumably prisoners, while on other feeds he could only see blood and corpses. Inside of the room with the back turned to him were three occupants. A mindless servitor slaved to the main cogitator, a female overseer looking over the feed and some kind of a guard with a las-rifle in his hands (but not much of a guard since he was too looking away from the doors, his eyes locked on the monitor on which he watched how the battle outside the gates progressed. "Command, what's your status?! Command, reply! I cannot understand...you are under attack?! We are under attack dammit, send some help over here!" the female officer shouted in the vox, slamming her fist against the desk in front of her and spilling recaf from a nearby mug. Valu could see that she also carried a las-pistol on her belt and a guard-patter chainsword on her other hip, but both weapons were not drawn at the moment. "Warden and that pet Enginseer of his be damned, I can't get a reply that's not half a garbled mess!" she continued complaining and Lacrymole knew that the scrap code from their ship was still doing wonders and preventing proper communication. Now he only had to seize the moment while they were distracted and take out the guards, or just vox Phocron back and ask for instructions, but this indeed looked like a test and it would be kinda pathetic if he asked for help now without trying to solve the problem himself. Officer:5 Guard:4 Valu:8 OOC Since the guards can't see Valu, he has re-rolls and +1 for his attack rolls next turn. He also has the extra attack from Xaviera's buff for 1 more round.
<Asteroid prison upper part> @DeranVendar @Grall_Stonefist @WanderingJester @High_Adept_Zeth @Taec Squaring off against the servant of the Machine God, Sobek turned out to be nimbler of the two, his whip flying through the air and impacting on the Enginseer's mechadendrite array. Sparks flew and the mechanized limbs went numb, preventing the Enginseer from using the additional help they provided, limiting his purging options on only his axe which in the end proved to be enough. Moving like an avalanche, Sobek's opponent slashed through the incoming net fired from the Mystic's webber pistol and swung his axe with deadly precision. Superior reach and powered field flew through the air and Sobek tried but was unable to flee its deadly touch. Not moving fast enough he could only watch as the Omnissian power axe impacted on his form, slamming through his arm and in a shower of blood and oil, removed the limb from the body, worthless arm fell on the ground alongside Sobek's pistol. "Annihilate the traitors," Enginseer blurted as the Mystic was pushed back, getting ready for another swing but then he turned around, hearing the taunt and the roar of the jump engine. Erelak moved like an angry god, descending upon the tech priest but he anticipated such move and got out of the way just in time to evade getting pulverized by Raptor's boots. Black Legionary stabbed forward with his chainsword and the whirling teeth carved a gash across Enginseer's chest before he could raise his axe and block another attempt. Trying to counterattack in similar way to what he did to Sobek, Enginseer's swing went wide as the Raptor casually moved out of the way, the Chaos Marine at the moment much more capable of moving out of danger. Nearby two machines were locked in a stalemate. Mechanized bear poured more flame into the Plague Sentinel, which in turn slapped him with its giant tongue, but both attacks didn't do much to begin with. Getting ready for the flames the daemon inside the walker turned its form around so the fire only damaged its extra armor while in turn, the plague tongue was useless against the metallic parts of the creature against him, it only added a bit of rust against its torso and that was about it. On the other hand, second mecha-bear was in for a show as it actually managed to hit Viator, the Scion of Slaanesh danced and danced around and as it goes, he eventually underestimated his opponent, moved too slow and was introduced with a set of sharpened claws that ruined his perfect armor by giving him three large marks across his left shoulder guard. "YOU ARE LAY YOUR FILTHY CLAWS ON ME?! I SHALL TEACH YOUR LIMITED BRAIN WHAT IT MEANS TO SUFFER TRUE PAIN!" Viator screamed in revolt, his patrician features twisted in a most horrifying snarl that could easily send even Orks running in terror. Diving through the bear's (once again) slow attacks the Traveler began dismantling the machine piece by piece, each strike perfectly placed to cause maximum damage and make his stepfather proud. Close to where the bears annoyed his teammates Orghast prepared to lay down damage of his own. He saw as the remaining corrupted serfs fell under the strokes of blunt maces and that the Warden and his men began advancing on both him and wounded bestigor. Grenade flew and exploded just in front of their advance, most of them were prepared for such event by having their shields locked but those two that just killed remaining serfs opened themselves and the explosion punched them off their feet, shrapnel doing the rest. Plague Marine started sending bolts on the advancing enforcers but the shells went wide or didn't go through the enhanced shields, allowing the Warden himself to move through the formation and attack Orghast directly. "You might be big and loud, but it doesn't matter in the slightest. You bleed and you will die just like the rest," not lacking courage, Waltz drove in and slashed with his powered weapon, the axe sailing past Marine's guard and opening his stomach from one side to the other, power armor doing nothing to prevent the bodily fluids from sipping down on the ground. More of the enforcers tried to seize this opportunity but Gorzkha worked himself to enter frenzy proper, crazed beastman was the most dangerous beastman indeed. Launching himself on the shield-bearing guards, he began showing just why he was the leader of the Herd aboard Curze's ship. He caught first shield with the edge of his axe and wrestled it away from the enforcer before sending a meaty fist straight into man's head, caving his skull in and killing him on the spot. Second guard swung a mace at him but the bestigor dodged it and sent a backhanded strike into his enemy that sliced him up from shoulder to groin. Third guard however managed to wound Gorzkha by first pushing him back with his shield, before smashing the mace into beastman's leg and breaking some of the bones inside. It was enough to only slow the beastman down and enforcer's next attack never came as Gorzkha first cut off his hand before crushing his neck with his iron grip (OOC @Grall_Stonefist you can kill off the remaining Enforcers alongside your next set of actions, just emote receiving another wound in the process). All this left Corbulus to deal with the PDF troops himself, which he was of course capable of doing but not without getting his own blood spilled in the process as well. Lieutenant Marks was soon to be dead but he sold his life dearly. "In the name of the God-Emperor, eat this plasma bolt!" the officer, seeing that he couldn't stop the Wolf of Horus, went all in and fired his pistol from point blank range. The effect was immediate - the super heated projectile impacted on Corbulus' chest and created a fist-sized hole in it, the heat eating away one of his lungs. Marine however wasn't about to be denied of his kill and he got in the range for his axe to do the work, the one-eyed mortal with his pistol recharging simply too easy of a prey (@WanderingJester emote killing the officer as you see fit ). Marks died but his men were still alive and ready to avenge their fallen leader. Rising their las-rifles in unison, Corbulus felt the heat of dozen enhanced bullets punching into his already damaged armor and exploiting the weakness, rewarding him with yet another set of holes and burn marks, cooking his flesh beneath. Command center: Warden Waltz:8 Enginseer:5 Enforcer Elite:3 PDF Soldiers:12 Mecha-bears: 3/8 Corbulus:7 Orghast:4 (Plague Sentinel:4 (Poisonous tongue)) Erelak:10 Sobek:4 Gorzkha:3 Viator:22 Conditions: One of the mecha-bears lost its extra attack. As long as Enginseer is alive, Sobek cannot take control of the bears. Due to the effect of Viator's fire, Enforcers and the Warden lost their defensive buff for 1 turn. PDF soldiers work as a team and instead of firing on multiple targets, they will focus fire and make a high-impact attack on single target each turn. Same like before, Plague Sentinel gets a random roll to determine if it's about to get a random buff each turn. Enginseer lost his bonus action. Sobek lost his arm. Gorzkha is slowed.
"Yes, yes, shed this weak flesh from my hide. Tell yourself I am weak, perhaps I am." Orghast relished and cursed the familiar feeling of open stomach and alien thing called pain. In times past there would of been a broad pair of jaws and animated intestinal tubing to retaliate, for now he would need to rely on ancient stubbornness and a long developed sense of comfort regarding death to see him through. "You fight with rage, I can see Khorne burned into the trimmings of your spirit." Orghast abandoned his bolter and went for knife and pistol. "Even if your mind is slaved to the Emperor." Power axe whipped up near to his head and Death Guard recoiled beneath it. Blade stabbed towards the Warden's stomach looking to match wounds with the man. "At least you speak true, for whatever allegiance clings to tongue and heart, Nurgle rules all our fates. Nurgle rules death." What a great comfort that was. OOC: Balanced - Attack on Warden with Combat Knife, Defense on Orghast
Corbulus noticed all of the other forces of chaos focused on dispatching the other enemies, leaving only him to deal with the humans around him. He even noticed the Black Legionnaire moving to engage the mystic's target, which he cared little for outside of securing the prize for both his First Archimandrite and the Wolves of Horus. Should the raptor attempt to take what was his, well, there would always be room for another skull on Khorne's throne. Turning his attention back upon the doomed officer, the Alpha Wolf charged, ignoring the plasma shot that burned through his chest and one of his three lungs. Evidently, the dark gods had read his mind and heart, for he felt no pain, only the thrill of the slaughter as the chainaxe came down. "You wish to call upon a corpse? Then join him in death!" The Khornite weapon came down, and bite hard into the shoulder of the Lieutenant. Marks' screams mixed with the revving of the ravenous weapon as his blood sprayed over the gold armor of Corbulus, and even as the as the weapon cleaved his body in half did his death cries not stop. Only when the aspiring champion reached down and ripped his head off did the Imperial Officer finally fall silent. As the PDF squad continued to pelt him from behind with their lasguns, the Alpha Wolf collected his prize, before placing it along with the sentinel's pilot's skull on his belt. While a part of him would have rather joined the mystic in the fight against the enginseer, he also knew instinctively that these PDFs would not leave him to the task. Turning slowly, even as the las shots continued to impact his armor and flesh, Corbulus spoke up, his voice daunting even as his words growled themselves out of his MkIII Iron Helmet. "I shall offer this mercy once and only once to you for attacking me: your life for your fealty to the dark gods. Serve them through serving me, Corbulus, Alpha of the Wolves of Horus, and you will find rewards beyond your wildest imagination." He then lifted up his chainaxe, before revving it up again. "Consider carefully, and while you do so, allow me to demonstrate the detriments to rejecting my offer!" With that the Alpha Wolf charged their line, swinging the chainaxe towards the closest guardsman, aiming to bisect him in one slice in order smash the weapon into the man next to him. OOC: All out attack on the PDF Soldiers.
<Asteroid prison – Rock Bottom prison complex | Secret Mission> @Colapse Valu got down to a knee to stabilize his aim, leaning around the corner with Las Rifle carefully drawn, aiming on the Officer. Phocron would soon enough be asked for further instructions, but first he had to make sure nobody would be able to hear him and ruin the whole operation. So with a careful eye through the paper bag that has become his mask, he brought the muzzle towards the panicking officer. What a sweet sensation it was, causing the man to lick his lips. The panic of others having long ago become a taste when he walked as a Wych. "He said there will be darkness... And so it shall be..." He whispered to himself, breathing slowly out as he squeezed the trigger. He already planned ahead however and the moment a salvo of las beams left the rifle, he would try to annihilate the useless guard right afterwards. There would be no hesitation, no mercy. OOC: 2 Regular Attacks (1 x All-Out-Attack) vs. Officer 1 Bonus Attack from Buff vs. Guard
