<Asteroid prison - Command Center> @DeranVendar @WanderingJester @High_Adept_Zeth @Taec @Grall_Stonefist "Well if that's the greeting you wish to give us, then by all means, I shall be a good guest and reply in kind!" Viator laughed as the shots began exploding all around him, the Scion of Slaanesh almost slithered through the fire and pulled out his pistol, screaming bolts impacting on one of the enforcers who was too slow to raise his shield and his head exploded, showering his comrades in brain matter. The strange ammo had dazing effect on the shieldbearers who had trouble forming a cohesive line now, which is what Gorzkha used to get near without getting shot at before he was up close. But it turned out that while these guards had a bit of trouble putting out defenses, they weren't completely helpless and as the Bestigor swung his axe the blow was blocked by one of the enforcers while another one smashed a shock maul in his abdomen, pushing him away. "Foul creature, suffer the wrath of the Imperial Justice!" Warden stood along his men and power axe raised, he slashed Gorzkha across his chest, his hide giving away for the powered blade to cut through and the blood was spilled, the Blood God not looking kindly on his follower's performance and took it upon himself to exact extra pain to remind him of his place. Thankfully before the beastman could suffer more injuries the serf mob caught up with him and protected him with their bodies while simultaneously tried to kill some of the guards. Their simple weapons were blocked by the shield wall and only one enforcer well to a lucky stab of a knife that caught him below his helm and slashed his neck. On the other hand, more and more serfs died, felled by blunt damage did by the shock mauls and after the initial attack, only couple of them survived. "Most unkind for you to kill my minions. They are mine to do whatever I want with them, killing included," Viator growled and for the first time he looked angry. Pulling out his long thin sword, the Serpent was about to dash in but a mechanical roar distracted him and a shadow of the huge creature loomed over him. Mecha-bear was unleashed on the Scion of Slaanesh and once again familiar grin crossed his perfect features. Sharp claws slashed through the air but despite its custom-made savageness it was still way too slow to catch one as blessed as Viator and the Marine worked circles around the monster, cutting it piece by piece and never getting caught. Second bear lurched forward by was speared by a bolt of red energy, the daemonic Sentinel squaring off against something that looked like it would be a proper enemy. Bear's shoulder alongside better part of its arm was blow off but it still kept going and it clawed at the Sentinel, but the limb got stuck in its corrupted form. As it smashed into it the pus began flowing and as it touched the outlying armored glass so it began strengthening, forming into somewhat of a carapace shell like what would an insect have, bloating its body as the Grandfather's minion kept on gaining power. But the mechanized bear wasn't done yet and it activated its mouth-mounted flamer, the promethium washing over the daemonic engine and for the first time it reeled back, gurgling noise coming out of its jaw something akin to pain. Close to the Sentinel was Orghast, the Plague Marine overseeing the fight and deciding that the best thing would be to go after the PDF's leader. He also spotted the turrets arrayed against them and with a casual flick of his bolter, one of the turrets was blow to hell as the bolt impacted on ammo feed. Simple constructs were no match for the Death Guard, not would fleshy targets be of any concern to him. More of the bolts were spat out of his weapon, the deadly payload going after the PDF soldiers and their officer. Exploding all around three of the soldiers died, their bodies ripped to shreds before they managed to find cover behind various cogitators while the Lieutenant himself was also caught in the open, his arm blown off, twitching on the ground and still gripping his sword. But the man was far from dead; "Squad Delta, fire on the lumbering giant," Marks spoke through the pain, "Mark...FIRE!" and twelve lasguns fired in unison, alone they couldn't do anything but focused in a single attack they ripped into Orghast and his armor burned, similarly like that of his Sentinel, Teril's guardsmen using high-velocity cartridges to power up their weapons, the effect close to what a hellgun might do. Corbulus indeed received cover for his advance, none of the PDF attacking him as they focused their effort on Orghast. Although that didn't mean like there were no guns to shoot at him as one of the turrets caught his form and began firing, but the Alpha Wolf was way too fast for that, shells flying past him and annihilating friendly serfs behind him. However as he made his move, Lieutenant Marks spotted that something was off and he saw incoming Marine, managing to roll away as the chainsword cut the cogitator station in two and threw sparks all around. Saying nothing, the officer aimed his plasma pistol and fired, Corbulus flinching away and the gout of super-heated energy flew past his helm, blackening his cheek but doing no actual damage. Behind all of them was Sobek, who while didn't wanting to go in first was still spotted by his good counterpart. Taking command of the last turret, Enginseer's calculated the location of the Mystic and his minion, and the dozen of bolts flew his way. Sobek was nimble enough to dodge such an attack but his servitor wasn't, the frail creature eating the full payload and dropping on the ground, its body shattered and meeting its final death. Before more of the bolts could fly his way, Erelak, who by that time crept on the ceiling undetected, fell on the turrets and cut them in pieces with his chainsword, in melee the simple stationary defenses no match for a Raptor. However the Engineseer didn't look all that troubled by it, instead he moved forward towards Sobek, brandishing his axe. "Traitor," it blurted out using the machine code so only Sobek could understand him, "Traitor. Your existence offends the Omnissiah," he said and rose one of its mechadendrites on which end he carried a plasma gun, firing the weapon but the shot went wide, Sobek taking cover behind a large console that controlled who knows what system on the station. Saying nothing else the Enginseer advanced, preparing to reach in melee and cut Sobek with his power axe, the weapon perfect for purging heretics that disobeyed the logic of the Blessed Omnissiah. As long as Enginseer is alive, Sobek cannot take control of the bears. Due to the effect of Viator's fire, Enforcers and the Warden lost their defensive buff for 2 turns. PDF soldiers work as a team and instead of firing on multiple targets, they will focus fire and make a high-impact attack on single target each turn. As long as Lieutenant Marks is alive and leading them, they will have re-rolls on both the attack and defense rolls. Same like before, Plague Sentinel gets a random roll to determine if it's about to get a random buff each turn. This turn it received an extra HP reward (+4HP).
"Right, got it." The pact trooper nodded confidently, cracking his knuckles as he took a couple of steps forward. Truth be told, he didn't really need any extra reason to do this, getting the keys was just a nice bonus to the chance of getting back at the guard that beat the grox shite out of him yesterday. And what was funnier to him, it looked like Khorne was stoking the man's want for violence too. Nurgle, Khorne, he briefly wondered if this whole place was starting to feel a little more...chaotic than it normally does. "I dunno Gains, looks like it was just good old murdering to me. That's fine, I get it, I really do, but lying about it? Now that's just being a coward." He said with a bit of a disapproving look to his scarred features before launching himself to tackle the blood soaked guard, aiming to slam him and his head onto the floor. OOC: Full attack!
<Asteroid prison – Lower security outpost> @Kalle @Vlayden @Uriel1339 @Jorimel @Vulpas @Skarboy As the guards looked around, Fera chucked a frag grenade out and the area exploded in flames and shrapnel. Blast took out four of the humans, their bodies ripped apart by the explosion, while the remaining ones saw from where the grenade came and were about to return fire when they began screaming. Pain, excruciating pain, flared their sensory nerves and half of them immediately dropped to ground while other half went mad, trying to scratch their skin away to stop the pain which came on like a huge tide. Xaviera did her magic and she kept on chanting, the familiar feel of Slaaneshi frenzy entering her own body and spreading over to those around her which haven't dedicated themselves to serve one of the great Four. Such spells however didn't work on things that couldn't feel pain, servants of the Omnissiah included. Combat servitors from the bunkers opened fire and both Xaviera and Fera suffered the wrath of the mechanized defenders, the Sister's cover blown up and her armor getting smashed by autocannon shells that tossed her on the ground while the psyker was somewhat luckier, only getting shot by las-guns her clothes and flesh burned but she managed to push through it due to her patron seemingly being with her again, or at least for this fleeting moment. Defenders were quite entrenched but simple things like concrete and stone couldn't stop the power of the Warp. Ausarius harnessed the energy and unleashed the lighting bolt on the left bunker, it impacting on the stone and cracking it open, allowing for the attackers to seize the opportunity and properly clear it out, while also destroying one of the servitors inside and wounding another two. But now the Sorcerer caught the attention of the second gun nest, more of the autocannon shells and las-gun streaks coming his way but his armor proved to be sufficient defense against such attacks. Tech Adept, after seeing what happened, worked furiously to try and get the door's mechanism working again, two of the heavy servitors moving out to protect him. Attelus charged forward, having to cross the distance he rode the hail of heavy bolter fire, his armor punched in multiple places and his flesh ripped away the Scourged kept on going and attacked with his twin blades, taking out a big chunk of the mechanical parts from one of the servitors before the big thing brought around its shield to protect itself. Second heavy combat servitor was about to flank Attelus and riddle him with yet another salvo of bullets but never managed to do so as Satharn crept on him, traversing the ceiling he gave himself a perfect opportunity to score a powerful blow. Dropping down on the lobotomized construct Night Lord's chain glaive ripped it in half, cutting apart both of the heavy bolters and a better part of its chest. Of course, the thing wasn't dead yet and it moved around, bashing Satharn with its shield but since it was now lacking its main weapons it stared dumbly at the Night Lord as if trying to process what to do next, giving Satharn opening that he needed to put down this lumbering giant for good (OOC @Jorimel you can emote destroying this heavy combat servitor with your next post alongside your next set of actions). While all of this was happening, every defender was busy dealing with their own set of problems and how to stay alive, meaning that pretty much nobody payed attention to those enemies that weren't immediately shooting or slashing at them, Valu being one of them. Tech Adept and two heavy combat servitors were closest to the entrance but since the Adept was busy fixing the gate and the servitors were fighting two Marines, the Lacrymole's way was open to get inside the facility but that would mean leaving Satharn to fend for himself (not saying the Night Lord couldn't do it) and pursuing the goal given to him by one of the Hydra. Corbulus watched as the Plague Marine fired upon his mark, managing to take the chainsword arm clean off of the human with a bolter round. Half of him found it annoying that the Nurglite placed shots on his prey, the other half appreciated the covering fire of his ally, especially when the return fire from both their mark's command and the lieutenant focused upon him. Even as the Alpha Wolf moved up to engage the enemy co-leader, a turret swung around to fire on him. However, Corbulus had expected incoming fire, and rather than striking him, the rounds soar past his moving frame into some fortunate serfs behind him, sparing them from a worse fate later: being a sacrifice. Corbulus finally closed within striking distance with the Lieutenant when he swung the chainaxe down from an overhead smash, aiming to end the human then and now. Lieutenant Marks proved faster and more perceptive than most, diving out of the way just in time for the chaos weapon to smash into a nearby cogitator station and splitting that instead in two. A flash from his plasma pistol caught the Alpha Wolf's eye and, while the human displayed impressive speed, he had ascended his own past what normal astartes would consider average as well. A jerk of the head allowed the plasma shot to come close, but not quite make contact with his Mk III helmet. Turning, Corbulus pulled back the chainaxe once more, before spotting the enemy enginseer encroaching upon Sobek. While aware of the threat, he found himself pleased a bit internally as well; the mystic now had the chance to prove himself against a proper counterpart, as well as his capabilities in a one on one match, at least until the aspiring champion finished off this human himself. So, the First Archimandrite would now earn his place within the Wolves of Horus, whether that be to survive long enough for the Alpha Wolf to blindside the enginseer, or to have the honor to this kill himself. Turning his attention back to his target, the chainaxe came around at the human's torso. This lieutenant should curse the corpse-emperor for losing his chainaxe arm rather than his pistol arm, though it would make little difference either way: his skull would be adorning the shrine to Khorne by the end of this day. OOC: Balance attack on Lieutenant Marks. Defense on self.
Fera was thrown back auto cannon shell punishing her armor and cover causing her to fall to the ground, Getting up slowly she began crawling up the rubble putting her heavy bolter out and setting it out on the bipod, and began taking aim for targets, keeping near her cover she kept down as she readied to fire seeing the Tech adept messign with the controls as a valuable target she began making choices either the Adept or the more of current threat serivtors. Choices choices, "Your toys go first, Then I am coming for you." She whispered Taking aim at the open bunker opened up by Ausarius she began firing at the heavy combat servitor with its cover destroyed and that managed to get a bead out on her. <Asteroid prison – Rock Bottom prison complex> @Jorimel @Vulpas @Colapse @Kalle @Skarboy @Vlayden Valu weighed his options but then remembered the promise he was given. With a soft sigh and a determining nod, he held tightly on his Las Rifle before bolting for his own mission. Running past all and everyone, not wanting to give anyone the chance to shoot him in the foot or similar. He was going to fulfill a mission that would change his life to the better for once - hopefully. Ever since he followed the trails of Abaddon the Despoiler, his life kept going from bad to worse. It would end today, having built up enough frustration since the departure from the hellhole that made him a servant to Satharn and Curze. Once he would reach his destination, he would attempt to shut the doors behind him, hopefully locking the doors from inside - knowing how to, considering he pretended to be an Imperial for years.
"Your lives, or your deaths, they all belong to Nurgle." Death Guard raised an arm slightly to stem the side of las fire. Ceramite was crafted to deal with many hazards, extreme heat among them, but so much focused so narrowly was beyond its resilience. Armor burned away and smoke wafted from Orghast's chest, plague-less Plague Marine carrying on forward and dumping empty magazine to the floor. Another clacked into place with satisfying speed and the legionary marched among the cogitators and consoles intent on finding one responsible for station wide communication. Everyone needed to hear this, all must know the gifts and glories of Chaos. PDF and turrets were proving beneath his attention at the moment, wounds aside he still stood and none of Mortarion's lot were found to flinch easy; even if the Grandfather willed him to suffer more than usual. Ever the loyal and loving servant, Astartes bled and focused on the pain, embracing the penance. More bodies, more suffering, more dedicated hearts and blades, all of it was needed! Corbulus was tackling Lieutenant again, if the Wolf needed anymore help in that endeavor then Orghast would be deeply disappointed. Blessed Sentinel seemed to be holding up just fine, not that a daemon needed any coddling and Orghast was not interested in offending the thing. Herd Lord seemed to be struggling a bit, completely opposite of Viator. With almost contemptuous ease Death Guard primed his one and only frag grenade and cast it towards the Enforcer elite. "Embrace the coming rot, let death draw you to her rich bosom and swaddle you in the joy of realization and sacrifice." Voice was low as the warrior could get it, friendly and fatherly as a preacher's should be. Eyes widened a bit with excitement, the swell of flame from his grenade's detonation reflected in both irises. "Embrace your fates." Bolter bucked in hand and servant of Nurgle sawed it from side to side, spraying whatever might remain of the Enforcers. OOC: All Out Attack - Frag Grenade and Bolter used on Enforcer Elite
The action and reaction of each individual that joined the battle was quite chaotic to follow on each on. Besides the canon-fodder that Sobek hid behind, most of the others, especially the Half-breed were hard to predict. However, observed as a group mentality, the logical pitfalls of unstable individuals can be...blanketed. At least it allowed Sobek to have probably the greatest tactical insight of the entire battle. However as his combat-servitor dissapeared under heavy-bolter fire, Archimandrite moved before same fate followed him. He knew someone sighted him, and before he could even see the target that fired him, he instinctively knew the trajectory of deadly bolts. With a corner of his lense he sighted one of the Raptors dropping onto the turret that was firing toward him and destroying it. Laser-pinging his warped Black Legionnaire battle-plate as to better identify him later on, Sobek looked toward his quary. A bulky figure wraped in not so much different outfit then him, brandished its massive axe before energizing it, the lighting arching all around him. "Traitor." it blurted out using some unfamiliar yet simple machine code."Traitor. Your existence offends the Omnissiah!" Just for a moment, Sobek cocked his beaked head the gesture reminiscent of a vulture looking at a carcass. Despite the fickle apperance it was that of confusion. Traitor. Heretic. Heretek? All these words had meaning that both allies and foes used when addressing him. It would seems as if a misunderstanding on a grand scale was in effect. Sobek would rectify that. Without reply he whipped out his shock-whip, energizing the snaking weapon. Whipping it around himself, with a pirouette he realeased it, the weapon springing to attack towards the enemy tehnician, its nible tip whipcracking in the air. As his pirouette ended, a webber was suddenly in his arms, firing. Attempting to disable the Enginseer with shock-attack. Attempting to disable the Enginseer with a webber.
Rock Bottom There was a moment's great anticipation as the silvery mists came down amongst the servitors, but it appeared these constructs were safe from the Prince of Pleasure's grasp. The spell had left Xaviera exposed, and the retaliating las fire flared all around her, causing the priestess to drop back into cover, but not before she had suffered several strafing shots from the defenders' guns. She cursed her foolishness and hissed, feeling the searing pain at the edge of her consciousness, but she was also full of Slaanesh's ecstasy, and once a break in the lasgun fire occured --- or so she thought --- she peeked out of cover and attempted to unload her laspistol's power pack on the Tech Adept, before lobbing a frag grenade towards him and his servitor retinue. As the powered blade bit deeper than anything else had so far this mission, sending Gorzkha back, bleeding from his chest, and though Gorzkha was technically human, he was more beast, and a wounded beast is more dangerous than ever, with a loud bestial bray, Gorzkha had thrown down his shotgun and instead whent all out in a frenzy of axe, ripping and horned headbutts.
