  1. "Oh, that's convenient." Kombuse said with a raised brow, with what hair was left on them, before walking it and seeing his fellow prisoners. Looks like he wasn't wrong about the coughing guy, he's gonna have to keep his distance with that one. He has respect for the good old plague father, but he like the way he was and didn't think green was a good color on him. And then seeing the Officer, no, the kid with a title, just brought a grin of pointed teeth to his face as he tried not to laugh right in his face just yet. "Uh huh, you sure you want to do that? You know, get shot by the guards for being an escaped prisoner? No wonder they always laughed at you buddy. Good luck with that!" The pact trooper chuckled, as if it was the greatest joke he heard, which to him it was. And with that he looked to the woman who creeped him out for....some reason. "Sure, just keep pointing the way ma'am." he said as an answer before walking the way she pointed out in an upbeat sort of march, not caring if either the kid or the would-be nurglite was with them. Sure he might only have pants and no weapons still, and numbers might help, but hey at least he wasn't in a cramped cell anymore and now has a possible friend with the scary hollow woman.

Fera kept watch on the over head on the stomach as she watched the guards and the techpriest nad his serivtors take there place inspecting the outer door way, if now was the time for some sneaking or magic it was likely time for it.

    @Vlayden @Jorimel @Kalle @Uriel1339
"Well now it looks like we are here and it looks like someone just opened the doors for us, So Ausarius, Got any magic that could help take out the servitors, or you daughter of Logar? If not Satharn may have to sneak in behind them while we make a distraction so he can either blow those bunkers or make sure the door doesnt shut before we get in or need to get out. Valu got think you can support as with some long range fire or patch us up if we get shot from from those heavy guns?" Fera asked looking back at the team, She kept to the shadows and down looking towards the techpreist and his guards her shots maybe best aimed at the fleshier targets easier to take them out of the game or maybe that head techpreist maybe useful if he was captured possibly get the head tech preist turn the servitors or automatic defenses on the prison guards. Though he may be someone of lower rank and have no ability to do that.

"Spotted a Techpriest among them he could possibly useful if captured alive and persuaded to help open prison doors or turn servitors on the guards." Fera said commenting on there situation.

"Ahh...name's Robb...my Lords," the officer replied to Sobek and lowered his head, listening to Corbulus' words and after sparing a quick glance on both the daemon Sentinel and the mob of enslaved serfs that were tearing apart remains of the defenders limb by limb, he nodded in compliance. "It shall be as you say...spare my life and I will gather what remains of the survivors to your cause." Most of them didn't look like they were ready for fighting, the wounds suffered during combat and the poisonous fumes left by the daemonic engine did enough to set them on a path with only one certain end. Whatever happens, the Wolves of Horus got their first troops and they were toxic!

Wrapping up this skirmish, invigorated by the slaughter the Chaos invaders headed straight up the elevator and onto the top floor of the facility. Somewhat cowed by Gorzkha's behavior, the beguiled mob of serfs began following him around, Viator seemingly loosing interest in the simpletons and already on a lookout for another pleasure. Daemon within the Sentinel stopped with the blabbering for now, apparently satisfied how the stuff progressed or perhaps simply kicking back to enjoy the lunch it just had. Pretty much a happy bunch of traitors, their mood and bodies in good shape which was good, for they were about to meet with the head of this place. Going up the elevator they found themselves on the main floor where the command center was located. Having no trouble following the memorized path, Viator led the group through two hallways before reaching their prize. Few guards stood at the bulky doors and after they died in most inglorious fashion as Sentinel blew them up to bits, the team finally entered the place and met the prison's HQ.

Chamber itself was quite large, being at the very top of the asteroid it had armored glass windows that opened up a nice view of the surrounding asteroid belt, somewhere among it Warpsmith aboard "Nightfall" still sent out the useful scrap code which played games with the station's communications and security. Dozens of humans were running around and doing there tasks, checking out myriad of consoles and cogitators that gave the place looks of a Bridge of some kind of a ship than anything else.

In the center of it and surrounded by a wall of metal was a big Arbites, carapace armor complemented with number of service ribbons and a power axe paired with a tower shield enough to cause fear in any and every miscreant that happens to cross his path. Surrounding him were "miniature" versions of him, enforcers armed with shields and shock mauls, black color of their armor gave them more serious look than the group arrayed in front of them. Dozen humans in flak armor led by an officer on which uniform's you could see markings of "Teril's 2nd Storm Battalion", whatever that was. All of them carried las-guns with bayonets attached while the officer himself had a chainsword and a bolt pistol. But that wasn't the end of the enemies within the center.

Both the enforcers and their leader were dwarfed by two huge mechanical monsters standing guard behind all of them. In short, the machines looked like bears of the ancient Terran legend, only these ones had razor sharp claws and chain teeth, plus something that looked like a flamer unit inside of their jaws. Next to them stood a "good" counterpart to Sobek, an Enginseer with an array of mechadendrites and an Omnissiah power axe to cement his place as the servant of the Machine God. Add to that couple of turrets around the room and you got the count of the enemies that the team had to kill if they were to take control of the place.

"Greetings, Warden Waltz I presume?!" never a man to deny others of knowledge of his presence, Viator almost casually strolled in after the doors were opened, spreading his arms and looking around as if arriving at some kind of a pleasure bar, enjoying the atmosphere and all that. "How kind of you to welcome us with all those fine young guards you sent to defend this worthless rock but I must tell you, they were hardly enough to quell my appetite. I think you ought to make a better second impression!"

Instead of a proper answer, both the guards in the room and the enforcers were startled, but the Warden reigned them in with a stern look while the Enginseer powered up his constructs, the metal beasts coming to life. "Don't listen to his words men! Fire and kill them all, in the name of God-Emperor!" Warden shouted and the room exploded in gunfire once again.

    Command Center:

    Warden Waltz:8 Enginseer:8 Enforcer Elite:10 PDF Soldiers:15 Lieutenant Marks:7 Turrets (HB): 2/2/2 Mecha-bears: 13/13

    Corbulus:10 Orghast:10 (Plague Sentinel:3 (Poisonous tongue)) Erelak:10 Sobek:8 (HB servitor:3) Gorzkha:8 Viator:25 Viator’s fan club:7

Conditions: Mecha-bears have 2 attacks instead of one. As long as Enginseer is alive, Sobek cannot take control of the bears. Enforcers and Warden have shields which gives them +2 roll for the defense. PDF soldiers work as a team and instead of firing on multiple targets, they will focus fire and make a high-impact attack on single target each turn. As long as Lieutenant Marks is alive and leading them, they will have re-rolls on both the attack and defense rolls.

After the slaughter, Sobek rummaged around the corpses of death enforcers and their allies studying their weaponry and other armaments with which they fought. Viator`s fanatics and beastmen made it particulary hard to find a whole specimen but thankfully Corbulus spared two almost uninjured enforcers, enough for Sobek to slake his curiosity.

"Ahh...name's Robb...my Lords. It shall be as you say...spare my life and I will gather what remains of the survivors to your cause."
As the mortal replied to his question, Sobek merely nodded, his beaked mask exaggarating the move to almost humoristic proportions were it not for all the blood and gore around them.

Without replying, for it was not his to give orders, he followed the rest of the warband, always close to Corbulus, lest the later yanks the proverbial chain of servitude too thight.

Enchroaching finally on what would be the center of this asteroid facility, as Viator did what he must do, Sobek couldnt take his eyes from one figure in particular. Despite the sizable force arrayed here against them, a robed figure with obscene amount of cybernetic augmentations seemed to be busy around some metal constructs that looked both crude and deadly in their function. The figure seemed to be in command of the turrets place around the room, and Sobek pegged it for technical overseer of the facility. A half human, half machine skull that was engraved upon the beard of his massive axe was a symbol Sobek seen before, and it always meant trouble.

Allowing for the cannon fodder to enter the fray, Sobek stayed out of line of sight, using the press of bodies to occlude the line of sight, while he worked as to how to defeat this foe.

Defense on himself and HB servitor.

Corbulus nodded as the officer, Robb, pledged himself to the Wolves of Horus. In truth, he couldn't care less about the man's name at the moment. Perhaps once he had proved himself as more than another cannon fodder in the Alpha Wolf's forces he may care more, but still, he understood the importance of morale amongst these humans, even after being blessed by one of the dark gods. He thought about giving instructions not to intentionally infect the rest of the survivors, having no desire to lead a pseudo-Death Guard splinter force. However, who was Corbulus to deny any of the primordial powers of their followers, such as Father Nurgle. Instead, he gave his orders, "gather what survivors that are willing to swear themselves under the Wolves of Horus. Do not harm those that do not: they shall be kept for sacrifices later. Gather the dead as well. Their bodies may worship Father Nurgle even in death and their skulls shall head to the Skull Throne."

In truth, none of them would likely attain membership within the actual Wolves of Horus warband. That title would be specifically for astartes and specialists like the First Archimandrite. The teeming masses would join their auxiliary, a counter to the Imperium's pitiable Imperial Guard. Cultists, traitor guardsmen, mutants, dark priests, and beastmen would form the ranks of that lot. They would not have the privilege of calling themselves the Wolves, no... "The Lupercal Army," Corbulus spoke to himself, too soft for even Sobek, who stood close by, to hear. The title had come to his mind as though sent by a messenger of Tzeentch himself. Yes, these men would form the Lupercal Army, in support of the Wolves. He would let speak to those that join as a whole later, to give them new purpose and new enlightenment. Unlike the recent converts to the primordial truth, the Alpha Wolf would not base the organization off of the current Imperial Guard; he would make them in the image of the Grand Imperial Army that fought under the Warmaster as they drove a spear into Terra.

With the orders given, Corbulus turned back to rejoin the others before waving Sobek to join him with the converted servitor. Apparently, the Plague Marine had said something and the Beastman chieftain had roared; he paid little attention to either of them, bringing up the rear as they head into the elevator and, after a short ride, out of it. Finally arriving at the heart of this base, Viator, of course, stroll forward like a peacock, confronting this Warden Waltz with all the pretentiousness of his own daemon primarch, or any aristocrats at one of those easily corruptible pleasure worlds. The only reply came in the form of a hail of bolter fire, battle cries and insults from the other side. Taking cover along with Sobek, Corbulus would scan the area for targets as he let the others charge forward with Viator, waiting until they had the attention of most of the enemies before making his move.

"Focus on the enemy enginseer. Once he's dead use this cover and takes control of all enemy mechanical units, starting with those mecha-bears," Corbulus ordered, pointing at the two bears flanking Warden Waltz and the tech priest standing with them. "Do that, and you shall have that power axe by the end of today." With that, he rose and found his prey: a lone leader amongst the guardsmen that formed the flank of the opposition's line. Moving with the purpose of a wolf stalking his next meal, the Alpha Wolf closed as much distance as he could before being noticed, then revved his chainaxe and launched himself at the lieutenant, the large weapon swinging down at the human. "Feel the fangs of Lupercal! Let the galaxy burn!"

OOC: Balance attack on Lieutenant Marks. Defense on self.
  6. Though the serfs now starting to follow him around was indeed a mark towards his clear primal dominance, he still wasent too happy about it, their minds had been broken by the dark prince, though if any survived This mission, they could still be used as slaves and sacrifice for the herd. And meatshields for now.
Upon entering the command room, it was clear this wouldent be an easy fight, and he had no herd to run with, nor armour or gnarled skin that could take bolter fire or too much other. So imidiatly Ghorzkha dived for cover as the room erupted in weapons fire, Ghorzkha himself having no weapons for more than shortrange, so Thats where he needed to be.
Once again moving through cover to cover, it had worked once, it would work again to get him into where he dominated.

Orghast made no move to command the possessed Sentinel. Daemon within would do as it would please regardless no doubt, legionary was under no illusion about his current status. Instead he would satisfy himself with working among the rest of the warband; a good leader had to know what made a good follower after all, and Orghast was nothing if not a good soldier. First order of business was to break enemy cohesion and sweep the field of lesser threats so they might focus on hardier targets.

"Feast upon their despair Grandafther." Orghast opened fire first upon the Lieutenant, looking to keep his attention forward and not on Corbulus prowling towards him. Death Guard smiled as bolter loosed a three shot burst, then upper body swiveled to fire upon one of the turrets above, once again seeking to take one of the nastier guns out of the fray. "Let their hopes erode and decay, as all life does in your name."

OOC: All Out - Attack on Lieutenant Marks, hoping to cover Corbulus' approach, and one attack ona HB Turret #1

"Most of us do not wish for bloodshed. The Night Lord and his... 'Companion', would not mind or hesitate."

Satharn was smart enough to realise that he was being used as the unspoken threat. He kept his mouth shut and let the more verbally gifted members of the band do the talking. Privately, he was impressed; Fera and the Son of Magnus were talking up a storm. If I hadn't been sworn to the Night Haunter, I might have been persuaded myself. He stifled a chuckle, though a small part of it leaked out anyway, luckily at the right time to underscore his threatened menace. He played the role well. Partly because it came naturally.

If they could gain the whole crew, then it would be quite a coup and just what the Nightfall needed to get functioning again. The ores and metals - even if only limited scraps of the stuff - could help in repairing the ship. It was all more than enough to keep his mind off bloodshed and on negotiation.

He nodded as they approached the lower facility, his sharp eyes taking it all in. The little medic had skulked off somewhere, which made the Night Lord frown under his helm; he didn't trust him so much as not to wonder what he was off doing. But at the moment, he had more important things on his mind.

"I can do that," he said, quietly, to Fera, "I have a plasma grenade if necessary. Or this," he raised the chainglaive slightly, "if I can get behind the metallists. But they look rather alert."

Preparing to sneak around to a rear attack if necessary, following Fera's plan for now.

The Lacrymole grinned to himself and got out of his hiding spot, knife drawn. A hand went over the mouth of the pissing guard, the blade quickly getting to the throat and cut it open. Then the knife rotated in his hand and was brought in a stabbing motion to the heart, just to make sure it was a fast and silent kill. Once the guard was murdered, he made sure to lick the bloodied knife clean. The corpse would be dragged in a nearby hideout, behind a rock or into a barrel or similar. Once that was taken care off, he would rejoin with the others.
Valu acted like nothing happened, smiling to himself behind his paper-bag mask. Fera's words would be replied with a silent nod. Though in reality, right now he cared little about them. Why should he? He had a greater task destined to him than being puppets like them. For once he would be no slave, but become a valued member of something greater. Not just a cog in a senseless machine, not to forget Ausarius' display of a typical power-lusting Astartes. Control freaks they were, and perhaps Phocron might be lying to him. But he knew of Valu's secret of being an alien and didn't kill him. These people? They would not think twice about killing an alien amidst them - that much he was sure. Although of course he would not forget his debt to Satharn or Fera... He might quite cheat that debt indirectly, yet he would repay it one way or another.

As he thought about his 'comrades' surrounding him, an idea started to form in his mind, while looking over the terrain. With a hand to his belt he made sure the Krak grenade was still there - before moving it away from it again to hold his Las Rifle properly. Now it was just time to get through the initial perimeter so he could get to his goal.

    EDIT: All Out Defense

Creepy lady led the way, followed by the pack trooper and the two others - after realizing that Kombuse wasn't going to listen to him or follow his orders, Foller loved himself too much and wasn't about to go one way all by himself, so he followed the blood trooper and his new friend; coughing guy just tagged along.

Passing through the number of cells they saw that half of them were abandoned or were filled with rotting corpses of old convicts that met their end in this bleak place. Young officer grimaced as the foul stench of decay hit his senses, but the other two did no such thing. Coughing guy just kept on coughing while the creepy lady didn't look like she cared about such things in the slightest. She just pushed on, relentlessly even, but that was understandable given the fact they were trying to get out the prison.

Getting through the exit they found themselves in a new halfway, slightly different than the last one. There was a bit more illumination here, lumen globes working properly in this part of the prison. However with more lumen globes there were less prison cells, much less actually - inside of the entire corridor they could see only three or four other cells but this time around the doors were closed and whoever was inside couldn't go out. All doors except one. Guard Gains was standing in a pool of blood, his baton covered in it all the way to its grip. In front of him there was a body, or in better words an unrecognizable mess of bones and flesh, stretched out across the floor. The guard looked absent-minded but at the sound of footsteps he turned around and faced the motley crew with his weapon raised.

"I swear I didn't want to do it. He...he made me do it! He tried to flee but I couldn't let him flee, I told him to stop but he didn't wanna listen. So I...I had to do it..." Gains began rambling, not looking all that sane as he talked. Foller grew silent and took a step back towards the exit, not too keen on facing the end of that blood soaked weapon, the coughing guy kept on coughing but the creepy lady tugged Kombuse on his sleeve and pointed at the doors on the far end of the hallway. "That's the exit. We must flee this place before the night comes. Salvation is locked but this one," she nodded at Gains, "Has the keys."
