<Asteroid prison - lower part> @Jorimel @Uriel1339 @Skarboy @Kalle @Vlayden @Vulpas Fera was first one out and her heavy bolter barked first, driving into the horde of giant vermin that just had to turn this regular deployment into a nightmare. The giant rats also turned out to be way faster than they looked and after managing to blow up four of the critters with her heavy bolts, the fallen Sister quickly found herself overran, deep in fur. Their teeth turned out to be extra sharp and she felt a strong sting at the back of her knee, one of the rats sunk its claws there and attempted to chew its way up Fera's leg. Then an explosion engulfed the corridor and another couple of rats were throw to hell and back, their bloated bodies riddled with shrapnel created by the detonation of the frag grenade. Perhaps these creatures were fast and ugly, by they were not immune to good old grenade blast. Valu, wanting to distinguish himself as a sort of a protector of the rest of his friends, saw that the Sister was in trouble and hurried over to help her but his dash was intercepted by one of the spider-like mutants, the thing dropping from the ceiling straight onto the Lacrymole and using its sharpened bone extensions, pierced both of Valu's shoulder blades and toppled him over on the ground, fixing him in spot and preparing to take a bite from his face. The vermin could perhaps have its way when attacking simple humans (or aliens in this case), but it was completely another thing to fight off the Adeptus Astartes. Rats found that out the hard way as Satharn drove into them with all the fury he had at his command, the knowledge of his father's return pushing him forward into greater feats of strength. His chainglaive whirled through the incoming horde, cutting them apart before they even got in range to do anything to him. Couple of the creatures were bisected and the rest of the rats knew better then to keep on going after the Night Lord, but the spider-like ones were not that smart. Similarly like in Valu's case, they came from above, but instead of one Satharn was assaulted by three of them. He managed to impale the first one descending straight on his chainglaive and kill it on the spot but the rest of them were already on him. Right eye lens on his helmet was destroyed as the bony claw went straight through it and into Satharn's cheek, getting stuck there as the creature tried to dig a hole inside of Night Lord's skull while the second monster reached his stomach and began hacking through the armor, latching onto him and wanting to get in through this way. Seeing that the things were not looking that good, Ausarius stepped up, bringing forth the powers of the Empyrian like in the good old days, and creating enough of the force to rip the rats into shreds. And as he felt the power surging through his fingertip, he knew that he got them. Blaze of lighting zapped forward and illuminated the corridor for one instant moment, before it ran straight through dozen creatures and turned them into dust. Such was the instant destruction he caused that for a moment, nothing came at him, but then he realized that he actually cleared the way for the biggest specimen of these mutants to push forward without being hindered by its lesser kin. Now it was time for his arm to "iron up" but as quickly as his power came, so too it fled, sadly not without leaving a gift. Sorcerer felt it as he lost control of it, perhaps he wasn't back in his old game or he was simply weaker then he thought, but the power he tried to control backfired on him and instead of giving him strength it sapped him of it, and suddenly he felt weaker than ever before. As if sensing his troubles, the Rat Ogre charged at him and swung a meaty first on him that threw him off his feet and straight into the cavern's wall, such was the hit that his armor buckled in number of places and couple of sharp stones managed to even pierce it, creating enough damage on his entire left side that he had trouble getting back up. But that wasn't the only psyker present on this team. Xaviera drew from the energy created by the Thousand Sons Sorcerer and reshaped the power to fit her own needs. Interestingly enough, everything that quickly ran away from Ausarius found its way in Xaviera's embrace. Slaaneshi servant turned that power into electrifying mist that from her dagger and spread all over her friends who haven't given over their worship to one of the other Dark Gods opposing the Prince of Pleasure. Satharn, Valu and Ausarius felt the otherworldly touch on them, the feel of sensation and ecstasy so sudden but at the same time, liberating. Xaviera on the other hand, knew exactly what happened and pulled out her las-pistol to try and deal with the incoming monsters, but they proved to be too tough for such weapons, the las burns doing nothing but angering them and Xaviera quickly had to defend herself from three of these creatures, all taking bites at her legs and trying to wear her down. Minions of the Horned Rat: Giant Rats:20 (Horde) Rat Ogre:10 Spider-rats: 3/3/3/3 Ausarius:9 Satharn:10 Attelus:12 Valu:6 Xaviera:8 Fera:8 Conditions: Valu is pinned to the floor by the spider-rat, he must pass a successful defense roll to get himself clear of the creature and get back up, or another player can help him with that. Ausarius' Iron Arm spell backfired and instead of a buff, he has -2 roll on his melee attacks and is weaker in general for 2 turns. Satharn, Ausarius, Valu and Xaviera have 1 additional half action and have a chance to ignore damage for 1 turn.
"Damn these creatures are weak but use numbers to overwhelm there play, like a hundred raptors brinigng down a mammoth." Fera said as she saw follow fall from aiding him she grabbed her chain sword from her belt and attempted to stab the rat through that had pined Valu then attempted to cut the rat off of there medic, Before Gripping her heavy bolter and begin firing again trying to keep the rats at the distance from her party aiming towards the ones aiming towards the horde again trying to thin it out again and try to pin as many rats as she could. OOC ALL OUT ATTACK one on the Rat pinning Value with chain sword, and one with heavy bolter on the horde of giant rats.
<Asteroid prison - upper part> @WanderingJester @DeranVendar @Taec @Grall_Stonefist @High_Adept_Zeth Charging out like a true Beastman, Gorzkha ran out and headed straight for the human part of the defenders. Las shots impacted on his set of mish-mashed armor, some of it getting soaked while few others made their purchase in his flesh, but Gorzkha's skin was tough and he managed to push through the pain. Getting in range he opened fire with his shotgun and immediately floored one of the guards, before he reached the melee and swung his axe around, decapitating another guard and dropping him on the ground in a pile of blood and gore. Bestigor bought a bit of time for Erelak to walk out of the Stormbird as well, but he quickly found himself under fire. Combat servitors didn't seem that troubled by the sight of the big Marine and one of them carrying heavy bolter opened fire and showered the Raptor in heavy ordinance. His helmet's hud began flaring up as multiple impacts were registered and he brought up his pistol to try and relieve some of the pressure, however as he pulled the trigger nothing happened and he soon realized that whoever was fixing this piece of gear did a lousy job - it jammed, and picked the best moment to do so. Speaking of someone who could help with this issue, Sobek, their only combatant who knew something about these things, was out of the Stormbird as well, firing his webber pistol at one of the servitors with the heavy bolter but his aim was terrible, the web managing to hit a nearby stack of supply crates and envelop them in the dangerous wire, accomplishing absolutely nothing. However his melee skill turned out to be better as the Mystic spotted one of the servitors carrying chainswords barreling towards him. Whipping out, he scored a hit and electrocuted one of the arms, making one of the weapons useless. However the servitor didn't seem too phased about it as it lashed out with his second chainsword, finding Sobek's arm and ripping into it in with such gusto that it almost managed to cut it off. Perhaps it would've succeeded if not for Corbulus, who saw what was going on and went in to land a helping hand. He found it easy to smash into the servitor, the poor thing wasn't really a match for a Chaos Marine, so his hit was measured fine and the servitor dropped to the ground, currently out of function. Satisfied with his work, he turned around and faced the firing of the second servitor hefting heavy bolter. Rounds impacted on his plate but for the most part of it, it held in check. Retaliating with his pistol Corbulus found out that like his heretek servant he too had to spend more time in the practice cages as his aim was way off, scoring hits on a nearby cargo loader and punching through its "windshield". Perhaps the most level-headed individual in this entire group stepped last from the ramp, raising his bolter and preparing to bring death to these mortals. Looking quite relaxed, Orghast began popping shots and a bit later, popping heads as well. Without breaking a sweat he killed four of those humans trying to defend the hangar, two of them he killed instantly out on the open while another two he killed after they realized what they were fighting against and tried to find cover behind a cargo loader, which was suffice to say, not too good of a cover for creatures such as Orghast and his weapons, so they too died in a blaze of exploding limbs. Those remaining looking quite pale and were definitely getting ready to bolt, not thinking that they have much of a chance winning this fight. Death Guard was also the first one who spotted the hangar doors opening up to bring more of the defenders in. Two Sentinels hopped in, their strange gait bringing them into the fray quickly as they prepared to defend the exit, both had closed pilot seats, Guardsmen grade gear, one of them was carrying a classic autocannon while the other was armed with a lascannon, both weapons ready to be used. However the biggest issue was the third thing that entered the hangar, a heavy automated combat servitor, heavily modified version made by whatever this station had for its Tech Priest. It lumbered forward on four spider-like limbs and was almost all as the Sentinel; in one set of limbs it had twin linked heavy flamer unit while on the other side it it had a piston hammer, unpowered but big enough to cause a lot of damage to even Chaos Marine power armor. "Attention minions," it was Viator's voice, now coming through the speakers and echoing throughout the entire hangar, "Your fight was quite dull and that small force which these morons aboard the station managed to muster was looking supremely understaffed. So I decided to raise the alarm and bring us more troops to have fun with. Sooo...enjoy the practice!" As he finished talking so did their Stormbird lifted off, Phocron not caring to stay behind (or was ordered otherwise), so instead of providing cover he flew the vessel out of the hole and back into the void, leaving the group to fend for themselves. Hangar clash: Human guards:4 (las-weapons) (feared), Combat servitors: 4(HB)/4(HB)/4(CHS+CHS)/2(CHS+CHS) (stunned 1 round), Sentinel:5 (AC)/5 (LC), Heavy combat servitor:7 (2xHF + PH) Corbulus:11 Orghast:12 Erelak:10 Sobek:7 Gorzkha:8 Conditions: Erelak's pistol is jammed and to make it work, Erelak has to dedicate half an action to fix it by himself and pass the roll, or he can give it to Sobek and he can use his half action to do it automatically. Sobek can dedicate half action to take control of the stunned servitor. Stunned one can be taken automatically, if he tries to interface with one that is not stunned he needs to pass the roll to achieve success.
Corbulus watched as his First Archimandrite hurried off towards the enemy, resisting his urges to both shake his head as well as forcefully pick up the mystic and tossing him into some cover. Following the rest of the band into combat, he turned just in time to see the combat servitor get in striking range of the other member of the Wolves of Horus. Charging forward just as the chainsword connected with the archimandrite, the Alpha Wolf switched his attack from a shoulder check at the last moment so his bolt pistol arm wrapped around the servitor before picking it up and slamming it hard into the ground. Turning to the mystic, Corbulus growled. "Take cover, repair yourself and convert this one. I care little about which order you do those things in, so long as you do them." Just as he finished his sentence, an irritable pinging sounded from his pauldron, as well as some pressure as the bolter rounds slammed into his somewhat patched up artificer armor. Turning, the Alpha Wolf lifted his bolt pistol to return fire, only to have his aim be off and penetrating the front of a loader. He snarled; he had grown used to the bolters attached to his lightning claws and had to readjust to wielding a ranged weapon in his hand once more. Out of the corner of his peripheral vision, Corbulus saw the Black Legionnaire squeeze the trigger of his bolt pistol only to have nothing happen, and the other combat servitor quickly rewarded him with another barrage from its heavy bolter. Continuing his words to Sobek, he said, "do not assist the Black Legionnaire with his weapon heretek. If he wishes to wear those colors, he may fend for himself. Focus on your survival and the conversion of the servitors." With that, the Alpha Wolf started to move towards another servitor when the hangar doors opened, and a massive spider servitor entered, flanked by two sentinels and followed quickly by the ever unpleasant, patronizing words of Viator. Corbulus scowled before making a note in the back of his mind about the Phoenician, before turning once more to the archimandrite. "Stay back from the vehicles and the heavy servitor for now. Let the others engage it. Concentrate the other servitors." With that, he rushed forward once more, aiming to launch another stun attack on a servitor with the heavy bolter. Once the attack was finished, the Alpha Wolf would turn and fire his bolt pistol at anything that assaulted the mystic, aiming to provide the cover he would need in order to complete his work, as well as hopefully some repairs. @High_Adept_Zeth OOC: Balanced attack on servitor with heavy bolter, defense on Sobek. Equipment: 1 frag, 1 krak.
As Ghorzkha entered fight allready bringing Down two of the manfilth, and now being in their minst, as they started to scatter, their bodies exploded from bolter fire showering Ghorzkha in even more gore. With a gutteral laugh, Ghorzkha kept up his slaughter, point blank shooting and axe swinging, none of This manfilth would not survive, slaves where for when the blood had been truly spilled.
Growling very loudly in frustration, Erelak holstered the pistol. 'Fools' he thought to himself, those who repaired gear were clearly incapable to do the job of fixing a bolt pistol. He looked around to see if there was any cover available, so that he could try to fix it himself. Any functionality of the weapon would be an improvement on this current situation. Running to what appeared to Erelak to be enough cover to preserve him for the time required to attempt to fix the pistol, he took it once more from its holster, and began to study it, quickly trying to figure out where the issue was that caused its failure. He set to work on attempting to rectify it. Ooc: defence on self with cover + half action to try to fix bolt pistol.
The pain as the chainsword hacked at his arm was nothing comparing to the wounded pride for having to be taken care of like a child. Limbs could be remade and regrown, but there was only one chance at the first impression. "Lord." Sobek simply added as a way of protecting him, hissing in pain though the verdigris-stained mask. Work salves all troubles, even of those of momentarily agony. With deft motions of his control rod, Archimandrite of Alpha Wolves tamed the programing of his wound be killer, putting the dual chainsword-wielding servitor on escort and protect routine, his subject - the illustrious leader of the small warband. Taking cover behind the Corbulus`s bulk, Sobek interfaced with his control rod as he invaded its programming, attempting to sway it under his control before it has a chance to pepper them with a brutal barrage of heavy bolter fire. @WanderingJester
The sudden leeching of his strength wasn't too much of a surprise to him - he hadn't the capabilities with his internal injuries needing his focus, to do so much just yet. Simply unleashing raw power seems to be the most he was capable of for the time being; still, he was pleased to see that he at least had the potential. Such challenges should be found often, lest one loses their edge. As he unleashed his psychic might upon the rats, the surge of energies that crackled through his fingertips - he felt it was satisfying in how his foes had not even been fried to a stinking mess, but turned to dust with barely more than a squeal being heard. -- And as suddenly as that, he was sent flying - already some sharp pains being felt both inside and out from the force. Falling to one knee, the Sorcerer didn't panic. He wasn't confused or irritated with this - worse. He laughed. A loud, arrogant noise - or even joyous, manic - the Prosperan letting his head hang back as he laughed to his heart's content. One could even worry he may have simply gone insane for a moment before he let loose words from an ancient, unheard tongue, his voice one filled with bliss and excitement. So this is what it feels like, he thought to himself as he forced his body to respond despite the pains, concentrating his psychic capabilities now into his form once again and bringing the spear to bear. He briefly glanced at his HUD towards what injuries he'd taken and scoffed, already feeling the Larraman Cells doing their work in patching over what penetrations had occured in his skin. It's been millennia since I've felt this joy. Still, the Teal-coloured HUD had highlighted his Boltgun's ammunition at its full '30' rounds - a satisfactory feeling coming through him now, though it did little to dissuade his thought process, the mighty Astartes bringing his hand up now and channeling his energies once more; soon he focused his power yet again into his hand, watching as the sparks crackled between his fingertips. And with that, he forced it out once more upon his foe, aiming to focus all of that power directly into the mighty beast - he imagined how such success would reward him, and it pleased him greatly to no end. OOC: One defense on self, both remaining actions used for Smite on the Ogre.
<Asteroid prison - lower part> @Jorimel @Colapse @Skarboy @Kalle @Vlayden @Vulpas Valu squealed like a pig in agony as his shoulders were pierced, his back arching as much as it could. Despite his success to eliminate a good chunk of the rats, he miscalculated the agility of these giant spider mutant things. He felt the sword of Fera tearing the beast above him - or attempting to do so to the very least. And he was not going to let such action go left unaided. Biting his lips to ignore the pain as good as possible, he was to make a counter move. Once that was taken care off, Valu would grab his Las Rifle, still on the floor, he would roll on his abdomen in a sniper-like position to shoot the spider mutants that were on Satharn. He was certain that the Night Lord didn't need him to survive. But he was going to express his loyalty towards his lord and master, especially since there was a life debt to be paid. OOC: Defense - Half Action on myself to break free (aid Fera's attempt to do so) Attack - Las Rifle - Half Action on Spider Mutant (if still alive; if dead then shoot one that is on/near Satharn) Attack - Las Rifle - Half Action on Spider Mutant that is on/near Satharn
Satharn killed rats with abandon. He found himself grinning beneath his helm. The joy he'd felt at rediscovering his gene-father was amplified - though he did not know it - by the strange sorcery. It was a re-baptism of blood and he was killing in his Lord's name reborn. "We are justice!" he growled as he kicked an impaled rat off his chainglaive. "We have come for you!" Which was all fine save that he was killing vermin, not bringing death to the False Emperor. But he couldn't shake the euphoria. He hissed as one of the larger brutes bit down on his midsection and another tried to prise off his helm. These were spider-mutants and more of a challenge, so he tore his attention away from violent bloodshed and focussed inwards, taking his attention to the immediate fight. The Night Lord swapped his chainglaive to one hand and gripped the one on his head, trying to tear it away while he struck down at the other on his stomach. He was aware on the edge of his vision that the medic, Valu, was similarly beleagured and decided that he'd help him out if he got the chance. Two attacks on spiderthings, defence on Valu if still needed, otherwise on self.
