Patch 17 - Part II - "The Revenge"

    Sound lagging I think is just bad connection to the server aka bad connection to it. Doesnt have to do with ur ISP, most likely its the client -><- server with comunication problems.
  2. "Gets hot" is technically in, if you overcharge the weapon explodes dealing damage to you.
  3. FPS increase is minor but noticeable, lots of things go much more smoothy and no crashes after several games. I'm excited what comes in the bright future.

    For those complaining about the PC, I discovered that you need to Overcharge your shot by half before it fires the "Blob of DOOM", but then the gun instantly overheats. Also discovered that there's a "Lob" firing mode on this now (not sure if that's old or just added). So, if you have pesky marines hiding behind a wall, just switch firing modes and send a Blob of Doom just behind them (though it's kinda difficult to aim with).

    Will be honest that this is the first time I've started using the PC, but I like how it's working now. Feels nice to use :)

    Played a couple games this morning after patch and vid driver updates. The overall game play seems to be smoother, but noticed that there seems to be some lag when you get into melee. Not sure if its the server connection between the 2 people in melee or if its just me.
    I would have to say overall I like the new patch.
    My Specs:
    OS: Win10 64bit
    CPU: FX8350 noOC
    Ram: 8GB
    GPU: HD 7870 2GB noOC
    500GB HHD

    Just played the first round after the patch. Noticed three main things:

    1. The soundbug, already mentioned before and a known bug.

    2. At some point, it felt like the turn around movement of my character (Tactical w. Bolter) was slower than before. Had trouble to hit an enemy, that was attacking me from a certain angle. Did anyone experience the same?

    3. The first melee engagement was the first one ever, that felt smooth and controllable. I was one of those, who has always had problems with my DBash not going off and everything just beeing one hell of a chaotic thing. I was blaming lag / netcode. But I only had one melee fight (was attacked) in this round, that felt somehow "shaggy" and unresponsive. All in all it felt like it got better (am really happy about that to the point, where I don´t want to play anymore for the day, because I fear beeing disappointed again :D). Anyone else having anything to say on this?

    The crosshair is a bit wonky sometimes. When aiming close to some edges it jumps to it insted of keeping it close to it. Very annoying, since it means I miss the target sometimes.
    Anyone else?

    I generally can't play cos the maps are so dark I can't see anything + lag.

    Welp, tried again today. Got 3 minutes in before the game locked up entirely, looping the last quarter second of audio and freezing the video while still keeping mouse focus when trying to tab out. The time I was able to play was full of stuttering and audio glitches.

    It's not even crashing to the crash-reporter. Very frustrated.

    Ironic Facepalms, they happen everywhere.

    >Patch is unplayable for half the playerbase
    >Instead complains about PC even though it was obviously unintended/not finalized
    >Pretends like it is more important than the other catastrophic problems in the patch

    Good to see our priorities are straight.
