People wouldn't answer in a match, people wouldn't answer in garrison. Furthermore, there is NO information in the garrison regarding the Painboy just a bunch of basic game information and other nodes requiring the Looota class, Storm boy class, etc. How in the world do you use your heal as a Painboy? It's pretty straight forward from the other factions I played, but as dumb as it sounds I can't figure it out for the Painboy.
Press and hold F to heal yourself Stand next to someone else, press and hold F to heal them. Or chuck a Dok bomb on a capture point.
Try this. Stand still when you're hurt, then press and hold F. A bar will pop up saying using item. Once the bar fills you'll be healed to full. If you stand next to somebody, and they have to stand still - try doing it with a Loota to test. Press and hold F and it should say "Using item on [name]". Once the bar fills up, he'll be healed to full. You do that each time somebody's damaged. The Dok Bomb however is a constant AoE heal. Just throw it on a cap zone or on a Loota or something and it will keep healing everybody slowly over time. They can even slowly become revived if they crawl inside the cloud.
To be precise, the Doc bomb applies a HoT to people that will stay on them for a while even after they leave its area of effect. Yes, the ladz will self rez even if they wander away for a bit. I basically lead the charge now with my Painboy - I HoT myself up with a quick grenade then charge into a room. The HoT keeps me fighting well past normal orky limits and if I drop I will self-rez thanks to it. Doc with ++base health and the Doc bomb is an absolute beast. The Doc bomb is a gigantic game-changer for the team. Each squad should always have a painboy with them equipped.
You get the graphics for a HoT if you stick an ally who's already topped up too, and people ask me for heals when they don't need them, so I'd assume you can apply a HoT with the needles that way too. But nobody really survives long enough for me to notice. If it does work that way, it's nowhere near as good as dok bombs.
