I just thought of something what's there stopping most imperialis from teaming up on other xenos/chaos and wiping them out before doing it out themselves?

Using warp fuckery to run their day? Or maybe just being really good at manipulating them into thinking their winning when they're really just walking into a trap. There are many ways around this but perhaps some balancing will be needed.

Pride and ego. No one wants to be second fiddle. Not saying I don't want to found alliances, just giving reason why people might not.
