Why no utility heal beacon spore clouds? Instead of having single target utility vials like LSM (Which is friendly to their particular super soldier lore) give Ork da boyz fungal spore deployables that provide proportionally balanced utility to da boyz walking through it...da boyz.
Because bE fixed to give them posion nades insted. Adding that spore could option would be nice but I doubt they will do it.
There is some argument that asymmetrical balance means Apo gets variable support items and a bolter, while Pain Boyz are balanced because they can give up their support item to throw poison for an easier time TKing (or area denial if the enemy team doesn't understand how poison works). They are also somehow the "melee king of support" and don't deserve to run around with a Shoota. Also, Ork sluggas are OP. Getting all the silly things out of the way, the dok bomb isn't too bad but has balance issues against its direct counterpart. For the other option, you will see people theorycrafting poison numbers out of their hindquarters to say the Sicky Bomb helps the Boyz immensely, but generally if someone is taking poison damage from three sources at the same time via hits from Pain Boyz...they're probably the people who complain about how unfair walking into an open area and getting shot is. Apo has beacons (like dok bombs) and then grenades that are more temporary with better effects. If asymmetrical is the way to go, I do understand they have to look at making Lock/Sorc/Apo/PB different. Dok Bomb needs obvious small fixes, but I think a different kind of support item would be great...especially if you consider the apo grenades to be opposite to the Sicky. Find something the other classes don't have and create another PB-AoE item. Even a "Dakka Bomb" that pulses a short-lived rate-of-fire buff would be hilarious and more useful than the Sicky. If its a temporary (grenade/sicky style) item and not a turret-like one (beacon/dok) then increase the buff duration and range a bit. TL;DR: Pain Boyz shouldn't be Apo copies anymore than they have to be, but new ideas are welcome because I feel what they do have does not balance them against the other support builds and that their current incarnation is a greenskin Apothecary with less options.
Give the pain boy some form of mechanic that is functionally identical to a servo skull but has more HP than an Imperator Titan to make up for shafting them for so long. But seriously, some sort of Squig cloud bomb thing which wriggles into opponents armour and eats them alive from the inside would be good. It could either provide a cloud of "damage" of its own or provide the Boyz with a damage assistance buff to make the PB a proper support class once more.
Or it could make the enemy widely inaccurate as long as they are inside the spore and take more damage. But the Titan ho thing might just lead to extermanitus
They could give the Painboy a bunch of different types of squigs. One of these squigs could be a ranged form of healing (ex: tell the squig to heal somebody and it runs over, attaches to them, and heals them).
A Heal Slugga, like the "One Shoot Slugga" that do the same as the Syringe. You Shoot the Boy to heal him up.
