Customisation would be nailed if there are many many different kinds of armor platesa nd such to wear
I was thinking the orks would be bulky like in DMO but still have that figure like the normally do on TT.
Real quick? I've always loved the moment at 1:11 where the Ork Nob kills a couple of Boyz just by trying a little too hard at Waaaghing.
I've never liked the stunted lookin legs of orkz. Dont get me wrong, I love Orkz in general. But its hard identify with my character if its proportions are too wrong. I mean the basic Ork TT model looks like a hairless green axe wielding gorilla, to me anyway. But when I day dream or put myself as a Ork running around in a game or a story, I think more Hulkish...not to say the Hulk himself..but a Big muscular Nob, with normal legs that look like they are strong enough to support all that upper bulk....and of course a slightly smaller jaw but covered in Orkie hardware...and of course has hair...or some sort of algae that looks like hair growin off the top of his head. Like in my head Take Conan the barbarian, combine him with a Table Top ork, then cover him in warboss bitz, thats my boy. Now I say all this not to start a flame war, but in the interest of all the F2P people and non warhammer fans that will come to this game. I worry that they will see the basic ork (F2P or B2P) and just not connect with em and go on to play the other factions with more identifiable characters leaving the Orkz in a ever low underpowered population. And of course I'd like to hear the thoughts of my fellow fever induced forum brethern on this.
To each their own when it comes to flavors of Ork, whether it be 40k, Tolkien, or even Blizzard inspired. I've come to enjoy the hunched, ape-like appearances of the Orks, especially when they are described as such in books. Not the larger Nobs or Warbosses, but boys. These large, incongruous masses of muscle and rage barreling down on you seems all the more effective given their savage forms. And in my own opinion, what won me over with these Orks? The voices. The semi-silly nature of the Orks and their speech is what made me enjoy them. I mean look at the game voices, from Gorgutz to Bluddflagg, with Brikkfist and Spookums to.. I love the Warboss lines in Space Marine but can't for the life of me remember his name. "DIS IS MY PLANET, SPACE MARINE!"
