Oi Gits, Would ya still be one of da Boyz if we dont got E'vay Armour but we get a real Waaagh going, or you gonna demand you get a personal slogging with dem Beakies. (Would you still be interested in playing orks if they had weaker stats than Beakies but had a numbers advantages on Maps, 24vs16 instead of 16v16 for example).
Nope. I didn't pay good money to be petty fodder for some space marine power fantasy. While I love the lore of wh40k, it should never trump balanced and fun gameplay.
I'd play Orkz either way and just krump gitz with pure skill, so I vote yes, but honestly I'd rather not nerf the Orks for purposes of lore.
24 isn't nearly a substantial number difference to make up for being cannon fodder That's not even double their amount for being half as effective, eight extra players does not make a significant advantage. Especially if the marines advantage is their ability to brutally skull fuck you for even looking at them It'd should be more like 75v16 Then I'd ask them marine boyz to have fun wading through literal walls of Dakka If one marine can take on 100 Orks like they believe they can Then 16 space morons should be able to handle 75 Orkz right? I'm sure they'd do fine
Imagine if we had the attack from behind assinations of halo...1000 pounds of green fury falling from the sky with an insta kill animation. Just imagining it puts a smile on my face.
I agree with r3gan0m1c5 , I am not speesh murines cannon fodder just soo they can feel supreme. Though orks got strength in numbers does not mean they should make orks weaker . And as Gobmaw says, if they feel so superior to Orks let 16 murines fight 80 orks and then lets see how superior they feel when they got bullet holes in their faces
Also, I think any seasoned Ork is a match for a Space Marine one on one, If this was the compromise they made for whatever reason I'd still play Orks because that is just the faction that I think would be the most fun. Though isn't there still plans for this to be an open word along the lines of Planetside 2 or did they have to go away from that for balance reasons?
Not every Marine is on the level of Captain Titus, as some of their fanboys seem to presume. So I voted no, we don't need three times as many of their players to be a "horde" either, just need clever mechanics that encourage us to group up.
