Fine thinkin. All of it. I wouldn't mind a Nob or Warboss input called, "outta da way!" or "I'mz da biggest!" where you kick smaller boyz out of your way or ahead of you. Would work real good I fink. I also kind of like the rather entertaining idea of a boyz free for all during the waiting room. More kills and bonuses means you get bigger (even the f2p's could have a bit of fun here, maybe show them the beauty of reaching nob or warboss-hood would be like, maybe something like they get a sneak peak by reaching it themselves (in the waiting room at least) and da biggest and best ones get to roll out either in the front of da WAAAAAAGH!!!!! or be spawned in where ever they please in the group spawn. The clan fights sound pretty nice too. Maybe have it in different area's. Death Jungles, blistering deserts, sea fights and space hulks maybe too? God, I don't even think I can put the breaks onto my hype train at this point.
This sounds pretty cool. Perhaps some kind of brawl system that can only be done in a main staging area/primary base to gain a small temporary buff like "Bloodlust" or something. Then ways for other actions to gain similar buffs in their staging areas. So in the Ork staging area you'd see groups of two or more orks brawling with eachother and those around them get bloodlust before the big WAAAGH. In the SM staging area you'd see groups of SM's kneeling in prayer. CSM area you'd see groups gathered in unholy rituals. Eldar would gather and focus psychic energies. Or something.
I think any Ork v Ork system would be best used as a way of limiting Orks from taking over the game. They are the FTP race, after all. So in areas where Orks are holding sway for an extended period of time, Ork v Ork (or at least Clan v Clan) could be switched on to help balance things out a bit. Would be entirely dependant on player base though. And there would need to be similar balancing mechanics for other factions, such as increased Nid attacks or Daemonic incursions or something.
Or 1 Boss kill the other and all the boys merge into a bigger horde and they could start snowballin Just helping another greenskin out
You should get a bonus for hitting other orkz , The whole orkish caste system is set up around clan fighting and violence You arent the top dog because people decided you are, you are the top dog because you killed everyone that said otherwise. The PVP between orkz SHOULD be there but only between different clans as is proper.
From the view point of the table top game, one of the advantage of Orks is that they are the only race allowed to conduct friendly fire. So you could tie your enemies up with boyz or grotz and then shell the entire area while your enemy is engaged in close combat, killing everyone.
