Actually it woke me up this morning, I thinkz iz figger itz... Rokkit Boyz = Assault, Boyz = Tactical, Nobz = Devastators, Pain Boy = Apothecary, MegaNobz = Terminators So if F2P can only be boyz, that isn't necessarily bad since only Tac/Boyz can capture objectives. Orkz will just be lite in the other support categories.
shoota boy/sluga = tactical stormboy = assault 'eavy/loota = devastator pain boy = apothecary meganob = terminator that are the "class equivalents" and the actual names of the ork classes some may be plays holders
Same role as Sternguard/Vanguard. Elite versions of basic classes with more points for loadouts and access to unique items.
So are you saying that players will be able to run around as elite toons? In the Rogue Trader, I see that you can buy either a Skarboy Commando or a Cybork Madboyz, however I believe those are just requisition based short term buffs, not something you can "always" play as. So let me ask a different way, we as players will have the option of permanently upgrading our toon to a veteran unit type that maybe a F2P player would not have the option to do? I haven't heard of a Sternguard/Vanguard? What is that?
Actually I found some interesting stuff in the wiki, though that doesn't mean it is right or will be that way once the game goes live. http://eternalcrusade.wikia.com/wiki/Classes Anyway, there is says that if you are a squad leader, then you play as a Nobz and can have a different loadout. The elite classes do require requisition points and once you die, then you revert back to a regular player.
no and yes you can spawn once as an elite or hero if you die you will spawn as a basic class for veteran it is the same you simply spend ingame money to have a bigger loadout for this spawn
So you can purchase a bigger loadout... and that is permanent? I hear crys of P2W, but personally I won't care as I will have the bigger loadout.
Pay to win is the last thing that should be associated with this game. If you are a buy to play ork, you can spend ingame resources to be a nob version of a standard class, with larger loadouts (May be also different stats but WIP). As a FreetoWaagh boy you simply can't use the nob/elite class. That, however, doesn't prevent you from playing the game and get new gear. You will only have a smaller loadout capacity, compared to a nob. I suppose that also BuytoPlay boys without resources for a nob have the same loadout limits as those for the FtW boys.... Edit: if you die as a nob, you respawn as a boy. Repurchasing a nob, however, should be waaay more affordable than hero or veteran classes
