Grots would be used as stat buffs. For sake of balance (and because you need one hand to hold the grot, and the other to hold you shoota)you can only have one at a time, but it can specialize in different tasks depending on what you want. You can have an 'Ammo Runt' who carries spare magazines for your gun, giving you a larger ammo capacity before you run out, or maybe faster reloading, as you just yell at the thing to put a fresh mag in after you've clicked empty. You can have a 'Dok grunt' who carries some vaccine filled with an unidentified green sludge 'from da dok' that when injected gives you a slight health boost and makes you more resistant to damage. You can also have a 'Meat shield' or a grot you can pick up and hold in front of you to take a shot that would have killed you otherwise. Or maybe even a 'Smart Bomb'. You give a grot a satchel of stikk bomz, punt him in the direction of the enemy, and guide his trajectory with your crosshairs. A variant of this is the "Smart rokkit" for vehicles, where you give him a tankbusta bomb and hurl him like a spear at a vehicle. Of course with those last two, you'll need a cooldown before you can use grots again. After watching one die so horribly, you'll probably have to go scrounging for the others.
I think this is a brilliant idea so we can have our gitz and our grotz and da most important ting da DAKKA! I think a squigoth would be a interesting vehicle I think a way to balance such a massive powerful and orky vehicle is to limit it to a few per battle field cause they can shoot all of the way across the map. But back to grotz a consumable style of usage or kind of system portrayed here but it would be interesting on how we see kila kans
A random idea: After I saw a trailer (for Kinect I think) where you could use your own voice to create dragon shouts in The Elder Scrolls:Skyrim, why not make something similar for da Orkz? Different voice commands would result in your Ork screaming different things which in turn would give you different bonuses: "WAAAAAGH" - Higher attack speed "DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA" - higher rate of fire " 'ERE WE GO!" - Higher movement speed If we were to go one step further, we could make it so that the boost given by each phrase correspondents with the loudness of your voice (read: how many decibels you screamed into the mic). This way, not only can you feel right and proppa Orky, all your neighbors can, too!
what if all race can purchase types of pets, but us ork can get spore pods that release tiny orks to fight.
