I like the no reticle for shooting as well. To help with combat when they switch to melee let something pop up

    The no-reticle idea is great.
  3. as more i think about this idea the more i like it :)
but orks need a large magazine if we want this
so orks can adjust aim by watching the bullet stream and this would require some skill, which mean it will be fun ^^

  4. I'm going to have to be the the odd ork out and say I dislike the no reticule idea for a simple reason: it's a third person game and not a first person. In a first person game shooter, you can kind of make an educated guess at where the gun is pointed at, and it's always point in that direction. With 3rd person, where the the guns points at is not necessarily where the camera is and you basically lose orientation every time you move.

Remember that, while the devs do want to keep to lore, that this is a game and that you shouldn't make something intentionally frustrating for the player, especially something important like shooting. I'd be fine with a very wide cross hair that says "You're aiming in this general direction", but I don't want nothing and accidentally shoot my weapon into the ground 5 feet in front of the enemy
    Ulfgard and Tyranos like this.
  5. gears of war had no crosshair unless you aimed down the sights, and that worked perfectly fine.
Just took practice and some time toget used too

  6. thats exactly the reason why we think that it fit the orks
they are bad at aiming and no crosshair would reflect this very well
    Firestarter77 and OberonVykos like this.

I could see this for Space Marines and for Orks it should almost be the opposite. Need to count that Assault in most Ork guns, so when hip shooting Orks get the shotgun like reticle with poor accuracy in the reticle but lots of shots. While shouldering the reticle wouldn't really change, no accuracy bonus at all. Aka why shoulder if it does nothing.
  8. maybe give a ROF increase to represent the fact they've made the decision to put as many bullets in that direction as possible instead of firing aimlessly on their way to use a choppa? and as for the wwaaaagh bonus said earlier make it so when aiming the orks all get ROF and slight accuracy boosts for doing it.
Im even up for orks when using a waaagh properly having a % chance (depending on the size of the waaagh) to not use up ammo when firing. Its lore fitting and makes a group of orks as dangerous as they should be. The green tide shouldn't be ignored because its f2p or theyre inherently "weaker"
If i see a lone ork shooting me I want him to KNOW and me to feel like he is just a mild irritant. But when that same ork is within waaargh range of his squad and theres 10 people shooting I dont want to still see 10 small problems, I want their coordination and "race bonus" to be so overwhelmingly evident that I know to call for help before their numbers and weight of fire overwhelm me.
