Ork Power Klaw.....wtf is the point of this?

Does it function like the power fist?

Heavy attack, even after you've charged it....had a delay when you release to attack....what a joke. People just back up and kill you.

I was so looking forward to this, but its total.....is it me? Am I just using it wrong?

The quick attack is decent speed and damage, but slow attack is just pointless. I get it....1 shot kill...but this is silly.

Has been inferior to the power fist for sometime for some reason, much slower heavy attacks speeds and less range I believe, I dunno know why though since they should be the same weapon in all but visuals and name.

I'm sure @Gazrick (who loves his claw) or some other Orks in the community could fill you in as I don't play them and they've wanted it fixed bad for some time and made a few threads about it in the Ork forums, although right now the devs seem more focused on more LSM guns than actual Xeno fixes for the time being unless they are nerfs of course.

  5. Its not like marines got it nerfed. It has always been inferior. I guess the developers figured if they gave it to orks working, it would be used. You konw, our iconic weapon working would actually have players want to play orks. Can't have that.

Power fist and klaw heavy attack isn't really to fight infantry.
Its primarily anti tank weapon, anti infantry secondary and by a long shot as even knife user can kill you easily.

I was more joking along the lines anytime a faction has issues LSM gets bashed for it. It's the new battle cry instead of making posts like this and drawing dev attention.

This all day. You hit the nail on the head Xio with the above statement.

It's has one redeeming quality - the execution.

Klaw works best if you're a sneaky git. Creep around with a charged up power attack and waste people instantly. In a stand up fight you're crippled by RPS because of the stupidly long windup on the power attack making you unable to counter d-bash.

Or you know, dedicated vehicle hunting...which is what fists are for I guess.

Both are pretty shoddy weapons against a good melee'er but the power claw is a smidge slower and the gap close that comes after completing your animation is shorter ...... im still crossing my fingers for the "siege trait" suggestion i made so they can make both weapons swing at normal speeds ..... your best bet as a powerfist/claw user is to either learn to force clangs, or learn the few times when you can "throw a changup" fierce attack and your opponent will essentially kill themselves ..... by backrolling where you are going, or dbashing late .... as far as Ork melee is concerned though you are MUCH better choosing the fastest melee weapon with the heavy trait, is it still the electified choppa ? since once you land a heavy attack the heavy trait stuns them so long they cant rps back right thier quick comes too late to trump and instead clangs with the completed heavy attack animation, you can just spam heavy attack and they can't fight back at all .... they have to either clang or roll ... both of which give you the advantage in all but 2 circumstances ... and the E.Choppa still one shots from behind ... so you arent really missing anything as far as anti infantry goes .... you just miss out on being able to stun/damage vehicles but you could equip a bomb for that or ask your friend with a rocket launcher to help ..... orks love rocket launchers .....
