Ork Melee feels a little big better, but still broken/heavily inferior

Is Ork Melee still completely inferior, even against enemies with same/lower tier melee weapons?

    Default Choppa vs higher level melees I can understand not being the best way of judging melee, but going up against Sorcerer swords, heavy weapon classes, and knives still feel like a massive uphill battle against ANY opponent. Like I'm not sure if the other factions have massive invincibility frames on rolls, if heavy melee goes a decent amount less far than a roll, if their damage is somehow bugged to be less than equivalents/lesses.

    Like at least now if I catch them completely off guard I can get a melee + a quick in for the kill, but in 1v1 face to face battles I lose literally all the time.

    Lootas and the Waaagh effect are incredible at least though. Shootas feel like they need mods to be more viable. Also heres a screenshot to prove my claim that I'm not just complete garbage.

    Oh yeah, thats another thing. For some reason sometimes enemies are able to roll away from an immediate quick attack after I stun them, as if stuns last 1/4th the time of an ork being stunned. I'll give it a try ingame to make sure I wasn't imagining it or some shit.

    I think I stunned a guy as a loota for the whole expected stun duration though.

    Edit - Just stunned a guy for the full duration with a choppa, weird.
  4. Ork evade/roll attack is complete trash right now.

    You roll...hit attack....pause...then attack for about 1 meter length.

    Everyone else can cover serious ground instantly after the roll animation finishes and attacking. Really irking me.

    So much for being the "melee faction". The devs better fix this by launch or Orks will have about 60% less population than other factions. Coupled with the fact that the game probably isn't going to do very well anyway. Gork preserve us.
  6. I think they might've tried to make orks melee dominant by making the choppa swing and stun like an Axe. I think it might clang like one too- I won a clang war against a apoth with a chainsword.

    Still doesn't feel good, though. unresponsive is definitely the word I'd use to describe most of the combat in this patch. I really miss the hit indicator, and the red triangle over hostile heads showing up reliably.

    Ork melee is supposed to beat equivalents in clashes. So no dedicated melee vs no dedicated melee and the orks will always win, and our power klaw will beat out power fists.
  8. Sometimes I try to do the running attack and for some reason I stop, do a common fast attack and get dakkaed to dead. Does someone also has this problem?

    Eldar are broken with latest patch...mobility + same or more damage is nice BS for balancing. So quit QQing about orks.

    You've had some time to shine. Any time we've had something sort of neat, we've had something else major be useless to even it out.

    Orks 1.0 - Bad melee, Bad shootas, pretty good plasma lootas
    Orks after first hotfix - Pretty good melee, still bad shootas, plasma lootas still pretty good
    First major patch after Orks - Melee blows again, shootas are decent with ammo drum mod and not completely horrible without mods, plasma lootas still pretty good. Waagh is fun when matches last that long
    Now - Melee sort of works but still feels pretty weird/inferior even though we're supposed to be the kings, gotta wait till we find shoota mods for them to be pretty good but at least that'll be possible, plasma lootas are still pretty good. Waaagh still fun when matches last this long.
