Then use better shields! Might I recomend the meat variety? Just thunk some gits and grab em from behind then push them in front of you.
The Ork Kannon is more of a dedicated artillery piece than the Plasma Cannon. It is certainly superior at long-range sniping/bombardment but requires you to generally position yourself at a distance from the rest of your team. The Plasma cannon is a more versatile weapon for squad play but isn't nearly as good as a long-range artillery piece due to the projective travel time. I think the Plasma Cannon, Reaper Launcher and Tempest launcher need the projectile speed to be buffed rather than having the Kannon nerfed.
Shrinking the bloody Kannon model a bit so we can see past it would be a buff enough for the kannon too.
Kannon is also the weapon with the highest teamkill count in the game and yes shrinking the model is probably a good idea. It's hilariously big and whilst fine from a pure first-person view is really limiting. Alternatively they could change the transparency of the model whilst aimed.
On Hit Kill(OHK) Area of Effect(AOE) long range weapons are really bad for the game IMO. The whole risk vs reward = potential damage inflicted is way off for the Kannon. As an attacker I can set up 75 to 100 meters away from an objective and continuously deliver AOE OHKs vs infantry inside the objective building with little to no risk to myself. That's killing Veterans as well, "on hit". We should only see long range OHK AOE from certain Land Raider variants and certain Dreadnaught(and equivalents) variants that can field the most devastating weapons we'll probably ever see in game. No base class should be capable of delivering ranged OHK AOE, especially vs Veterans. That throws all balance right out the window and TBH it's not fun getting repeatedly AOE OHK'd and losing your Veteran from a weapon you never see or hear coming.
I was just asking if anyone else noticed this. I'm not asking for it's removal or change. I just wanted to know if I was alone in my line of thinking. LSM can suck because of anything from new players to bad teamwork, the same can be said for every other faction. Please don't put words in my mouth.

OHK happens pretty frequently in this game even for Veterans. Ever had the misfortune of getting sniped from behind by a Lascannon? I think we all have. And the Kannon has just as many drawbacks as it does advantages. Literally one single JPA could take out an entire team of Kannon Lootas without breaking a sweat or really having to worry about getting shot. I know, I've been on the receiving end of that kind of death numerous times.
