Ork Feedback Thread

    Does the rokkit actually work now? I tried it when orkz first came out but after point blank shots to the back of a few chaos that barely damaged them I never tried them again.

    I've noticed the zzap cannon no longer has a warning light to alert players they are going to get blasted. Maybe the idea is how bright the gun lights up as you charge being the warning? It feels extremely cheap being able to one shot players across the map that have no idea the kind of pain is coming their way.

    - Super Stikkbomb has problems attaching to vehicles even when they're stationary, needs a fix.

  4. It's in a pretty good place actually. You have to work with the charge-up time (like charging behind a corner etc), but a direct hit is pretty much guaranteed to one-shot anyone who's not stacked up on survivability gear, and destroys a Predator in ~7 rokkits.

    I love the healing grenades, just a couple of tweaks:

    -too much visual noise: come on guys we should know to tone it down by now. :p The circle of green on the floor is more than enough without blocking my line of sight on a target.
    -they shouldn't be able to revive: that seems a bit overkill

    Stormed fortress with rocket- never more. Half the shots are misses( was aiming at turrets).

    Couldn't agree more with this. The heal is lovely, but I often avoid it as I can't see what I'm shooting if I'm stood in it with a few other boys.

    I'm assuming the "we can't melee no mo" has been covered by others?

    Ork animations:

    - love the new movement animations devs, gj <3

    - pls do sth about attack animations. Right now Orks in melee look a little bit like cripples trying to swing their amputated stumps. The attack swings are a bit to horizontal, my suggestion is to make them diagonal at 30 degrees. Like in the Choppa execution animation. Clipping with shoulder pads shouldn't be a problem I hope :/

    So I've just had a bash with the Rokkit. I forgot to change my settings (need them shadows low) so there were FPS issues but it is....interesting.

    It's definitely Orky. As far as I could tell it killed SM (and any unfortunate Ork in one hit). The charge time seems too long to deal with vehicles though, got countered a few times I tried to use it semi-seriously. I killed more Orks with the weapon than SM - probably 6-4 (Ork - SM), but all but one forgave me so I think they found it as hilarious as me.

    There is little more satisfying than sneaking up on a heavy bolter and sending them a rokkit up the jacksie and watching their poor ragdoll fly.

    Pure luls. Practical/useful? TBC.
  10. I could hit the quad guns on Maggon from point A with like 90% accuracy, but the ones on Harkus are way too far to even dream of hitting them with a rokkit, true. On the TT they actually have the same range as a bolter, so definitely not a long range weapon.

    I haven't had problems against vehicles - as long as there some cover you can charge your shot from behind. Just make sure the predator isn't looking your way before popping up to shoot.
