Waagh mechanics is REAL AS HELL on tug of war maps. Jesus....trying to take the last point from defending Orks on a tug of war map is insane.
But that's what orks excel at lorewise.Melee and being tough,while having fun fighting,which is the same with their playstyle in EC.Eldar excel at speed,psychic powers and somewhat better weaponry, which their playstyle in EC aswell.I think the point I'm trying to make as pretty clear.
All melee is like that. Orkz aren't bad at melee at all. Yeah, the choppa attack speed needs a buff, but overall they can still hold their own real well. And Waaagh is fucking dope. I'm gonna totally play as Ork just for that.
You talking about first hand experience like the other orks for the past week or you just saying that from the receiving end.
Nope, I just played as Ork like 5 mins ago, got 15 kills with my preset Stormboy while fooling around. Not bad at all.
Anyone saying Ork melee isn't worthless is delusional or intentionally trying to keep Orks down. Despite being what is supposed to be the de facto melee faction we are outpowered by SM/CSM (power klaw when?) and outmaneuvered by Eldar. Explosive and poison spam is the only means of staying truly competitive as lootas will just be slaughtered by assault melee or taken out casually by a standard bolter if not a heavy bolter. It is not impossible to win as Orks nor is there a complete absence of broken attributes to the faction, but no faction should be forced into having to play in only one specific formula if they want to have even the slightest chance at victory.
Just left a game after playing a match with Eldar. One Ork top of the team, used nothing but Rokkit launcher that now one-shot kills anything that ain't in a vehicle. 28 kills and probably about 3 deaths the entire match.
Well of course they want Orks down. There are some Egoboners out there that want to have orks be as bad as they can get so they can farm up as much XP when release hits. And some gits that want this game to be lore accurate, having the other factions over take Orks in almost every situation. I know i would if i wasn't an Orky main.
