Strong attack is as fast as a fast attack of the other factions, burny choopa is also a huge issue.

Burny choppa takes 2 hits to down or 1 power attack from the back. Rites of fire is 1 shot from the front with a fast attack so I think that's more of a problem.

As far as the OP I have yet to experience this on my main *ork* or chaos character. Ork fast is countered by dbash or clanging and heavy is countered by fast attack. The fast attack is as fast as a chain sword and since I usually use a chain sword on my chaos I don't have any issues at all vs them.

I think it's a lag issue on your end.

    *edit*

Not saying the ork power attack is the same speed across all weapons but the power klaw though as that's a bug.

How can you possibly judge "smugness" in text? Think what you like that honestly wasn't the intention.

E - btw I've said similar things in a more general sense to all races when people complain that "melee is king". I don't think it is myself.

The animations are crappy but it's not exactly hard to read. You aren't being attacked in melee (since you're saying even the strong melee attack is HYPER FAST) then you can assume they are preparing a Dbash. I don't see the difficulty here? If you have played as Orks at all you should be able to read it easily. If you haven't, well play as Orks until you can see it a mile off.

I really don't think this is the problem. I main Orks. I rarely see them using the strong attack, even if it is too fast at the moment. From my experience using the Klaw, which I'm sure we can agree is slowest melee weapon in the game apart from the PF, even if you charge a strong attack and an enemy charges a strong attack, even if the animation for the Klaw strong attack has only just started firing (it literally takes about 3 seconds) you will still clang. I've seen it, myself. Same for the fast attack, even though the Klaw fast attack is the slowest apart from the fist, it doesn't matter - you can still clang.

I'm really not seeing these issues you are bringing up.

I'll play with my burnin choppa build this evening and spam strong attacks to see how I get on then I'll let you know if I see these problems myself.

The Rite of fire being broken doesnt mean another broken weapon is fine .... im tired of being out dpsed by a support class that can heal and buff as a JPA a melee dps specialist. So im right there with you.

That simply isn't true, I've used RoF MANY times and it absolutely does not OHK kill anyone from the front. In fact when I use it against Orks it can take up to 3 swings to down any of them, probably because of the hp increase they have.

With the attack boost serum and dmg mod then MAYBE but since I don't have them equipped it takes 2-4 hits to kill enemies, almost like a normal power maul.

About half of my gameplay is using melee classes. So with 500+ hours in game I think I can say I am experienced melee player. I understand how melee system should work but I just don`t get how it is working.
Right now playing with LSM and CSM and usually I am finding that eldar and orks are ignoring the rules of close combat. Sometimes everything works fine... so I have no idea what is wrong.

With medium armour, and the 150lp health boost it takes one Dbash and a follow up connecting swing to kill any Ork. No, they won't die instantly, the fire DOT will kill them though. Even if you don't hit again.

But technically d-bash counts as a hit since it causes dmg, we are talking a SINGLE fast attack, nothing else. The same could be said for the faster swinging, lower tier'd burning choppa. Which I have died to in a single attack, as a GA, with artificer armor and armor mods.
