@Uriel1339 "Well, all is not well on the Shipyard." Felthernia said, aware that was most probably an understatement, all things considered. That, and she was going to have explain what was not well. "For what has gone wrong, there's been an intruder alert which when combined a suspiciously well-timed collar removal from myself courtesy of Varuuk, doesn't quite bode well for what's going on out of your sights. Add in the potential for tensions to escalate into general violence if the matter is not dealt with soon...." She sighed, out of sheer exhaustion than any contempt for the Inquisitors. "Well, I'm in need of some support to shed some light upon the matter before it's too late. Preferably, that support would include a small squad of troops to persuade those involved to have cooler heads when dealing with the Inquisition, irrespective of the Inquisition's representative." Needless to say, she was hoping they would see reason, if not there was always other ways to get what she needed.
Forgoing the diplomatic aproach of the crusader, Phyrrus immediately aimed at both intruders with his volkite serpenta, deeming the interior space to be ill suited for his long-las. "White scar, you better explain yourself, you currently stand in a restricted zone accompanied by xeno filth! Divulge thy intent or I shall name thee heretic! In his mind, he went through multiple scenarios that could explain the odd turn of events: Was the white scar here to catch the alien? Did Varruuk send both here on a mission? How were the other inquisitors involved? All the while he analyzed and marked his potential enemies' weak points - armor joints and similar - in his helmet displays and the in built targeting cogitators thinking of how best to proceed if the situation escalated.
"The courtesy of your halls is somewhat lesened of late, son of Ultramar," Gansukh replied, his lips twisting into a frown. Ever since he got here, he was met with nothing but hostility. This assignment was definitely off on a rocky start. But the Stormseer was an old warrior, patience still not leaving him as he tried to resolve this conflict with words only. Using his powers on the Emperor's subjects was something he would do only as a last resort. "My name is Gansukh Oyoma, Zadyn Arga of the Firefist Ordu," he introduced himself to everyone present in the same manner he did to Alnar just couple of moments earlier, before continuing, "And I am here to reinforce the Kill-Team. I just arrived here an hour ago and I was looking for the communication's deck to send the confirmation to Fortress Enioch of my task completed before the place was plunged into mayhem. I found Alnar here," he nodded at the Eldar, "And he told me of his ties to the Inquisitor I'm planning to visit next. We were heading there right now, so you might as well accompany us. As for the Deathwatch Captain I'm supposed to serve under, his name is indeed Varruuk but I have yet to report to him." "I hope this has satisfied your curiosity. Now I ask you, lower your guns and let us talk like equals."
< @Grall_Stonefist > "So, what. You go after the humans and I try to keep the marines busy?" Longfang asked as he looked over at the Space Wolf, making sure he knew exactly what was meant. At the same time he was ignoring the red lights and the klaxons, figuring that if something was actually going down there would have been an announcement or they would have been told to ready themselves. In the absence of either of those things, he figured that it was small, that the Ultramarines had it under control. So he kept his focus on the coming battle(s).
Red eased his tension so the white scar was one of Varruk's men at least one of the new ones. Keeping his arms down he decided it would be best to see the inquisitors to help shorten this little incident out the fact Gansukh knew Varruck's name gave him a bit of confirmation to his suspicions of Gansukh being one Varrick's reinforcements and it answered the crusaders question"Well then Gansukh, it seems you have run more into of the Inqustiors retinue." Red said with a brief glance to Lanius and phyruss. @Wata looking now to Alanar he hoped the xeno had a good reason on why he was up there. "So Alanar what is reason for being in this area. Red said looking directly at him.
Alnar had crossed his arms and tried to hide his dislike for the frothing threats of Astartes. He was getting tired of this and his earlier outburst had been enough. "You can all calm down, I'm one of Amleth's. I was just wandering about not really paying attention where I was, these ships and stations get tediously numbing on the mind, it feels like the walls are caving in at times." He rubbed his throat, the collar wasn't that comfortable. "I asked this "White Scar" here to escort me back to my quarters to avoid unnecessary confrontation." He sighed and forced the next words out. "...of which I am grateful." He spared a brief glance at Gansukh.
Joining the deathwatch? Frederick looked somewhat startled, he had only thought to maybe move on maybe back to the Astra militarum, could it be possible to join the retinue of one of the Emperor's holy inquisition? Cooper knew that the danger would be great if the records in the Librarium were as accurate as they say and those were only the ones that hadn't been placed under inquisitorial seal, he appeared visibly worried his thoughts were racing. After a brief moment of troubled thoughts his head twitched as he attempted to calm himself, he clutched his force stave tightly as looked towards the exit from the observation area. having collected his thoughts enough and had forced himself to stop acting like a newly inducted Wyrdvane he responded. 'I would have to make the request of Iovita, before I asked the Deathwatch for a letter of recommendation to be drafted, it would be only right to let him know of my intentions before they are carried out. Thank you for your encouragement Lazlo, it was indeed warranted.' Having finished Frederick started moving purposely towards the exit, his force stave moving with the movement of his left foot clanking each time it hit the floor.
Lanius stood by as they encountered an Astartes and Xenos of the Eldar variety, he watched how things would proceed with indifference. He did recognize the xenos as one Inquisitor Almeth's pets, the collar being an obvious give away which did remind him of the broken one in his possession. Kept somewhere within his tangle of mechadendrites hidden beneath his red robes, the faded mark of Forge World Lucius on the bottom right corner. He attempted to think of how long he has worn these robes, his memory unfortunately unable to go back very far without things becoming... clouded. Slightly bothered by this he submitted himself to listening to the happenings around him, mechadendrites preparing to slip his pistol into his shooting hand in case things turned violent.
~~ On the Orbital Shipyards of Calth - Still on The Darkest Night ~~ @Taec - Laeris, Dark Eldar (M) Trueborn ~~ Imperial Navy Academia, Training Barracks - Master of the Fleet Lazlo Tiberius ~~ @Donairian - Frederick Cooper, Human (M) Primaris Psyker "Always remember to act in the favor of humanity." Lazlo said after Frederick, watching him leave with a small smile. Then he turned his attention back to the screen. "Let us begin with the next round." He ordered one of the arena operators, simply nodding before triggering the chain reaction of mechanisms. ~~ Librarium - Codicer Librarian Iovita ~~ @Donairian - Frederick Cooper, Human (M) Primaris Psyker "Ah Frederick! Glad to see you again. Can't stay for long away from the well of knowledge, can you?" The elderly Ultramarine asked with a bright smile, glad to see his younger librarian counterpart around. "If you wish to get some work done, it seems one of the Servitors order system malfunctioned and sorted the Engagement records of System Artanis in reverse. I would appreciate it if you could maybe fix them. But of course if you have other duties to tend to, it could wait till tomorrow." Iovita stroke through his long white beard as he closed his eyes, reciting said records in his mind. ~~ The Darkest Night - Inquisitors ~~ @Maleth - Felthernia Nar'Therena, Starlen (F) Assassin @Tamu - Goreparan, Minotaur (SM) Apothecary "Request denied." Amleth said straight out, rubbing his forehead with thumb and index finger. "You two stay on this ship. And nobody of our retinue will go to escalate or even attempt to de-escalate this issue. We are here because the Ultramarines have good standing with the Ordo Xenos, until the Tarsis Ultra campaign. Our Order literally killed billions of their citizens merely to denied Tyranids biomass. So they have all the right to make their own investigations and decisions. And we will negotiate once they finalized everything from their side. In what way Varuuk is involved or not, let it go. He is an alien killer, you can be glad that he didn't rip your head off of you right there on the spot." Amleth added to Felthernia and then sent a vox-message to Rygar Pox to get a replacement collar. Marcella and Yuri both nodded in agreement, the former then asking. "Anything else?" ~~ Communication Deck - Captain Learchus Abantes ~~ @Wata - Alnar, Eldar (M) Corsair Reaver @Colapse - Gansukh Oyoma, White Scar (SM) Stormseer @Vulpas - Red Tarsinis, Human (M) Crusader @KorCharon - Phyrrus Ataraxus, Terran (M) Palantine Sentinel @TuskatheDaemonKilla - Lanius Skyruss, Human (M) Tech Priest Learchus grunted but then deactivated his blade and sheathed it, listening to the exchange and having not much of a choice. He followed up by putting a hand on Phyrrus' gun and lowering it. "Well met, Gansukh Oyoma. I apologize for the lack of an appropriate welcome, but after having just returned from a dreaded campaign our welcomeness might be not on par to the fame of Ultramar." He was being political, as the voice of his was almost monotonous. Diplomatic to kill down the flames, a process that the crusader already began and Captain Abantes was going to end. "My name is Learchus Abantes. Considering you are members of the Inquisition and both got lost. Let me extend the courtesy as the Captain of the fourth company to have you escorted to the vessel of the Inquisition. All messages and other business can be taken care from there. I'm sure this whole alarm then must be a mere misunderstanding." The sarcasm could be heard in his voice on the last sentence. But he knew there was nothing he could do. If he was to actually throw them into prison for even a mere minute, Marneus Augustus Calgar himself might put him on scout duties as punishment of interfering with the Inquisition. Not to forget the argument would be his conflict with the Ordo after the Tarsis Ultra campaign. And if he was to simply let them roam, other catastrophes might arise, if they indeed were the cause of the red alert to begin with. Just then a squad of Ultramarines, stationed as reserve, arrived, Bolters ready in their hands but not raised. They nodded to the Captain and regrouped on his position. "These five are Sergeant Banius and Brothers Phenix, Maxus, Uroba and Pentarn. They will escort you to the hangar of your vessel." He nodded to them and immediately they fell in formation around the White Scar and the alien without a moment of hesitation. "The others of you, feel free to accompany them. Except for you, Phyrrus. After all. We have a tournament to attend to." He let go slowly of the gun he still held down, believing that the Sentinel was not to eliminate them anymore now that orders had been given. "Thank you for your help and cooperation. Crusader, Techpriest." Learchus gave the two a nod of appreciation and then started to walk off in opposite direction as the Ultramarine scort would. -- Fight 2 Start; Tyr Nosebreaker & Denton 'Longfang' Reach -- @BadDo9 - Denton 'Longfang' Reach, Catachan (M) Jungle Fighter @Grall_Stonefist - Tyr Nosebreaker, Space Wolf (SM) Grey Hunter The deep red of the alarm would stop, but a green light would come on over the door into their waiting room and the door would open. Then came an announcement voice. "The next round of the tournament begins now. Please proceed to the arenas." Once both the Catachan and the Space Wolf would be in the designated arena with the same gear as before, they would meet an Ultramarine and a human combo. The Ultramarine was shorter than the last one, Apraxus. The human looked pretty much like Rob Sang from before. They stood both shoulder-to-shoulder. The human held a blade in the size of a chainsword with both hands. The Ultramarine had a two-handed staff that was at the length of the halberds seen in the Ultramarines Honour Guard, or like those described of the ancient protectors of the golden palace of Terra, the Adeptus Custodes. "Ramses." The Ultramarine said, introducing himself. "Fers Johnson." The sword bearing soldier added.
@Uriel1339 @Maleth The minotaur voiced his opinion the inquisitors denied the xenos. While he was loath to admit it, he did agree that the ultramarine's had the right to do their own investigation and it was never a good idea to give a xenos command. "You will have to recall the other's, both the retinue of humans xenos along with the death watch. As far as i am aware both the death watch and the others in the retinue are either helping or hindering the ultramarine even as we speak. This will send mixed messages and make things messier" After a brief pause the Minotaur added with slight sarcasm . "As for getting this mess solved i leave to my betters. Unless you wish to talk with me or need me i shall take my leave to the medicate "
