  1. While what they were shown was at least pleasant compared what he usually saw, he couldn't help but feel bored and even drowsy by the delivery of it. But that was remedied when pain flared in his head and what he thought was reality was now greatly in question after the arrival of the giant winged human the Inquisitor called Sanguinius, showing them the way out to what looked like a ship's interior where the outside encampment should have been. Clutching his head, he got up and followed the inquisitor and the rest. "No, this isn't good at all, either the spirits are playing tricks on us or we're in their realm." Karack thought aloud, using that to try to focus himself in the midst of confusion and pain. Maybe the catachan soldier was right after all.

Vissarya nodded and walked out of the room giving a final glare at the Tau when she past through the door. The church could her maroon powered armored boots easily her hand still clinched aswell with the menacing face. Approached the Alter straight up to the priest and in a darker less elegant but more horrifying to those still in the chapel. "Priest I found your pet we will speak of this later." Vissarya again coughed and her voice now gave a more pejorative tone and looking at the Stormtrooper. "Crusader you are requested to the Priest office could you please call the Crusader as well to go there. This speech is over go back to your duties." She unclinched her fist and looked back at the priest and her voice got into a more quiet but again menacing voice. "You better get you explain yourself and well because my sisters blood is now on your hands because of that thing.."

  3. Longfang straightened and scowled at the sight of the primarch, shaking his head a little. "That.. can't be right." he growled, standing up quick enough to knock the chair behind him over - if the chair was still there. He paused and looked around, having jumped from a light doze thanks to the dry propaganda to full-on alertness and dangersense. He clenched his fists and snarled, looking to Amleth. "Something isn't right here.. we have a whole celebration around him, so how could he be here.. and where the hell is here anyway!?

Goreparan waited as the enemy fired the double-barreled railgun, waited until obiken was safely away. Only when the XV88-2 Broadside Battlesuit was ready to fire its missiles did the minotaur strike. Knowing that the missiles were live by now goreparan pulled the automatic tiger on his bolter spraying both missile pods with bolter shells and watching as some of them struck true and trough the missiles exploding them before any could be fired at him.

As he had done in the previous fights before the minotaur moved with a speed and agility that none would expect of the 10 feet tall marine. Even as the battlesuit attempted to use its railgun as a makeshift melee weapon to force back the Astartes the minotaur ducked below the blow and thrust the now roaring chain blade up into the head portion of the battlesuit destroying its sensors even as the tau moved back. With a snort the minotaur keen to exploit this lowered his head and with his adamantium horns squared directly where the pilot was he charged effectively goring the battlesuit.

When the tau attempted to push back or dislodge the minotaur it was surprised to find that it was losing in a match of strength against the giant. Since it could not move sideways and it could not dislodge the Astartes the tau swiftly decided to stand its ground not believing that the marine goring its midsection could do much more. That belief in its armor was what sled the doom of the tau as against all odds goreparan with a loud roar like some ancient behemoth wrapped his arms around the midsection of the tau battlesuit, braced his legs making sure to maglock his boots to the ship and to the horror and disbelief of the tau piolet lifted the 12-foot-tall and almost 4 ton suit above his head pushing the adamantium horns all the way through the chassis of the suit and into the piolets still unbelieving chest.

Pausing for just a moment to watch the tau’s blood trickle down the horns the minotaur lead out another roar before with a great grunt lifting the suit to pull out his now drenched horns. He then did a suplex crushing the suit’s head against the floor with enough strength to bury it to its upper chest. Wanting to make sure of his work the minotaur picked up the bolter he had dropped when wrapping his arms around the tau battlesuit and shot the generators powering its weapons at its back until they exploded turning the entire thing into one big blazing wreak.

With a deep breath in and out, goreparan spent a few seconds recovering his breath before heading back into the fight not caring if others saw his action or what they thought of it.

Obiken laid in ambush for the incoming Tau reinforcement with Brother Goreparan, his multi melta trained on the incoming hallway. Of course, instead of a fire team, this time the xenos brought their heavy armor. One of their heretical battlesuits, modeled XV-88-2. Lifting his own heavy weapon, the techmarine managed to get his shot off faster than the large rail rifles leveled at his direction. Unfortunately, one of the gun turrets floating near the enemy flew in, taking the blast full force and leaving the battlesuit unscathed.

Ducking behind cover just as he registered energy signatures charging up in the heavy rail rifles, Obiken sidestepped the retaliating shots, just in time to see Brother Goreparan rush in from his own ambush position. Once the enemy fire redirected away from him, which was quickly given the ten foot tall Minotaur charging the battlesuit, he popped out of cover with his heavy weapon ready once more, just in time to see their apothecary suplex the battlesuit. Directing his aim upward, the techmarine blasted the last gun drone out of existence, doing his best to please the Omnissiah.

The two astartes didn't need to exchange words as Obiken turned to the bridge once more, only giving a reply to all of their squad. "Rearguard secured," he said over the vox, before arriving at the secondary bridge and taking an assessment of the fighting. Quickly finding the fire team within optimal distance for his weapon, the techmarine found some cover, braced his multi melta up on it, and fired into the enemy, taking care to not hit any of the vital controls, for now.

Tyr was in the heat of the combat, but as much fear as he had stricken before, the Tau tugged on whatever bravery their heart could muster and aimed all their nine rifles against the Space Wolf. Most shots missed as he evaded them thanks to his not just superhuman capabilities, but even beyond most Astartes, partially thanks to the Canis Helix, partially to his Grey Hunter training. A plasma shot went just past his head, scorching a good chunk of hair on his left side. Another hit him right in the right upper chest, which in the end did nothing but add further damage to his armor. His own shots missed as the Tau ducked behind cover and Tyr couldn't get a proper hit. Though eventually one bolter shell made it through and detonated in one Xenos' chest, leaving him to die most likely.

Sirius with his aliens naught but dead, moved in towards the Space Wolf to flank the pinned down foes. He gave them two quick shots from his shotgun as close as he could possibly get without making this a suicide run. Two of the Aliens fell on the spot, the third managed to hit the Blood Raven right into the abdomen and injure him, before feeling the retaliation through another blast, filling head and chest with holes before the alien slumped lifeless to the ground. The Marine, as he was trained, then quickly vaulted over some crates and terminals for cover.

Ruine remained being a boulder against the wave. But even the resilience of an Imperial Fist couldn't withstand forever against the pounding of plasma weaponry. Several shots penetrated his armor, scorching it and burning his flesh beneath. It was nothing life threatening for him, but the xenos. As the Imperial used that pain to fuel his anger and draw on power with it. Stubbornly he engaged in melee combat, bringing down his mighty weapon. With each blow he reaped one alien, such was the way of Ruine. By the time he killed the third, the Tau started to scramble and make quick shots at him, but all of them missing.

Goreparan ran right past Obiken with a zeal of destruction burning deep within the Minotaurs heart, combined with the desire to protect his comrades, as an Apothecary made him rush into combat like the bull on his shoulder would. The energy from slaying a massive battlesuit in the fashion he did boosted not just his spirit, but also the machine spirits of his weapons and armor. The heavy nigh-tactical-terminator armor felt even lighter, or reinforcing him more and he trusted the bolter with chain-attachment in his hands subconsciously that they could tear this entire ship apart if he tried to. Without worry for anything, but seeing aliens flee, he sprinted after those that Ruine scared off. One screamed, and Goreparan could swear the Tau just died from looking at the Apothecary as his heart stopped. Nonetheless, the Apothecary just tore him open from abdomen to neck. Followed up with a kick to get the corpse off. He swung the bolter around and lodged two salvos each in one of the xenos. Both died, torn apart by the mass reactive shell explosions. The last two finally got behind new cover and rose their rifles, pumping their entirety of clips into Goreparan who acknowledged the wounds it caused, but basically felt no pain as his spirit carried him on.

Obiken arrived last but saw the two going for cover. Making it easy for Ruine and Goreparan, the techmarine simply got in front of the barricade while the two Firewarriors were reloading their rifles. They had not even time to complete the procedure when the Exorcist pulled the trigger and not just incinerate the cover, but also the two beings behind it. They died instantaneously and announced the death of the second fireteam on the bridge. Not unaware of their objective here, Obiken would see that the primary console was still intact and just around thirty feet away, near where Tyr and Sirius were fighting. It looked undamaged and had power supply, the lights flashing bright.

If anyone was watching the fight between Varuuk and the at-least-major equivalent of an alien, they would witness the struggle of their Deathwatch Captain. The headless crisis battlesuit was insane enough, or just not caring about his own survival, to use the fuel tank of his flamer as a shield against the power axe. The Iron Hand noticed too late when his weapon sliced through the armor and right into the tank. The power field sparked and reacted with the xeno-fuel. The explosion was extreme enough to send a small shockwave through the room. And while the Iron Hand survived, he was covered in flames. The Battlesuit got away, having only lost the flamer arm. Using the fire and smoke as a distraction, he used it as a way to get out, walking backwards while using his plasma weapon. But his plan had one flaw. The smoke gave Varuuk as well opportunity to use it as cover. The Tau felt helpless in identification of his enemy with the scanners of his head-unit all broken. And eventually out of nowhere the Iron Hand emerged, axe in both hands, running with his shoulder against the pilot-cabin of the suit. He chopped off the plasma arm with one hard swing, before bringing it sideways into center. Through the cracks of the battlesuit, Varuuk could hear the pilot squirm, squeal and make other pathetic noises. Without mercy he stuck his axe into the upper part of the battlesuit and then used his both hands to pry the cabin open. Once he has achieved so, the heavily wounded Iron Hand grabbed the pilot by the neck with one hand, the other on the battlesuit, one foot against the lower plating of the suit and just pulled and pulled and pulled even harder. On the third tug the whole head came off, spine and all. He fastened it to his waist and pulled his axe back out, simply approaching the primary terminal as if nothing ever happened. Although his armor would need at least some repairs before the next deployment, not to forget all the wounds his larraman cells failed to close, blood still flowing out of the one or the other crack in his armor.

This left the remaining fire warriors with so much grief, fear and destroyed morale that they lied down their weapons and placed their hands at the back of their head, kneeling. They knew there were not going to be prisoners. But how could they desire to fight if even their best warrior with the supreme technology of the Tau Empire failed against a single one of these boarding foes?

    @Valonox - Vissarya, Sister Superior

    Arleen:
Once Vissarya left, the alien already relaxed twice as much. He sat up, pulled his knees in and wrapped his arms around his own chest, obviously cold, starving and scared. Though he might have surprised Arleen with the next action, as he in fact knew low gothic. "Sisters of Battle... Always angry... Always killing... Like Firestorm." He shuddered when speaking their commanders name.

"Gue'la speak of church. Church safe... Emperor and Katherine protect... Me no want fight no more... Me sick... Healer, seeing all bad... Death, blood, widows, child losing parent, parent losing child." He shook his head. "If I must die. Okay. But... No torture, no Firestorm actions." He obviously struggled with his gothic, but even with his alien-heavy accent it was audible enough for the Felinid who luckily learned quite a few different dialects during her time in the Schola Progenium as part of 'Communing with the Patient'.

    Red & Macharius:
"Thank you. Very much so. Take this as a token of gratitude by the Adeptus Mechanicus." He pulled out of his pocket two coins. On one side each coin had the golden palace of terra. On the other it had the icon of the Adeptus Mechanicus. The coin was chrome-plated it seemed as it was relatively light, but highly reflective for a metal. After each one received a coin and they had made sure the generator hatch was closed again, they made their way back into the chapel and found themselves near the altar where Vissarya, the Sister Superior, was addressing the preacher. She pointed at Red and Macharius.
    Vissarya, Red & Macharius:
Vissarya headed back to the main chapel, seeing the prayers already concluded and Frederick standing at the podium relaxed, watching over his people like a shepherd watches his sheep. The Crusader Red and the Stormtrooper Macharius joining her after their roof trip.

The preacher looked confused and tilted his head. "Pet? My only possessions are my instruments of service, sister. If anything, one of the other survivors might harbor an animal." He shrugged slightly, first time hearing of this of course.

"And to my office? I assume, I am allowed to join and hear what is happening, yes?" Frederick asked the Sister Superior and the agents of the Inquisition in clear confusion. Though nobody except the altar boy noticed, as everyone assumed their position again.

"Could... The martyr have returned?" Amleth wondered as the pain started to ease, obviously ignoring Denton. Him and the rest of the group following the Archangel of the Imperium to see where he was leading them. And soon enough they found themselves on-board a massive battleship, perhaps space station. The hallways so wide that five Sanguinius could walk shoulder-to-shoulder. Along the hallways were twenty portraits. But eleven of them were empty, the other nine had the portraits of the Primarchs, the others reaped by the talons of Horus, the Arch-Daemon, the definition of evil. As they walked the headaches reduced amidst the Psykers and the rogue Craftworlder, but Laeris and Denton who might have their suspicions about what was happening might feel some sense of... Safety, rather than letting room for their suspicion fester. Though Denton might feel inspired by the portraits of the loyal primarchs, Laeris might instead feel disgust in the blatant egotism and heroism that the Imperium was so well known for.

The hallway seemed endless until the group suddenly found themselves at two massive gates which opened just from the presence of the Primarch of the Blood Angels. Obediently like sheep the group followed so far. They came to a stop at a row of paintings with small descriptions beneath. Amleth read out each one of them translated for the group as it was in high gothic and not everyone might be able to read it.

The first painting showed The God-Emperor with the Lord of Mars.
"The passion of Terrans, combined with the ingenuity of Martians would bring dawn to an empire that it was second to none. A symbiotic relationship born, in the forges of the red world, out of the ashes of war."

The second painting was The God-Emperor and his nine, yet living sons were united at the peak of the great crusade on Ullanor. Having annihilated the first massive Ork Waaagh in Imperial History which demonstrated the prowess of the Imperium against even the most vicious aliens in the galaxy.
"The God-Emperor would not had been able to annihilate the Orks on his own. Neither would any of his sons be capable of such feat. But together they achieved it. Every legion of the Imperium united, every Primarch forgetting their rivalries, casting aside their differences and finding unity in a common enemy."

The third painting showed Sanguinius bested by Horus, but the God-Emperor with his flaming sword impaling the murderer of his favorite child.
"Although together the Primarchs were unbeatable, the denizens of evil knew of it as well and split them so they may not aid each other. Many of the Primarchs fought on Terra, others were lost to the warp, others occupied on other worlds coming alas too late for the Siege of Terra. It was Sanguinius who knew that Horus tried to lure the God-Emperor to an unfair duel and decided to go himself with his most trusted angels of death to weaken Horus. So that the God-Emperor may smite him, which he did. And so, self-sacrifice indeed is the greatest honor, as it allowed the Imperium to prevail under their one ethereal and divine leader, rather than having the quarreling Primarchs in strife over who should lead the Imperium next."

The fourth and last painting was showing the departure of the Great Wolf, Russ the Executioner. With a group of robed humans behind him, watching the last Primarch leave. Like legends say, he left for his last hunt and is said to return once the God-Emperor calls for his executioner once more. When or how that call would occur was a mystery that only the Space Wolves may know about.
"Even as the Primarchs all left and the God-Emperor guided the Imperium from the golden palace, they left behind a council of wise men to act in their stead. Perhaps not as great as the Primarchs, but nonetheless just as important, the High Lords of Terra were founded. Their duty being to keep the Imperium of Mankind united as well as ensure that no individual has absolute power. No, an empire of such size would only be able to operate with experts at it's head who would unite their strengths and cancel out each other's weaknesses. Such is the path towards a greater good."

By the time he read and translated the last word, the headaches of the psykers start to ease. And he turned to address the group with his own words. "I guess what we are supposed to learn here is that we should work together. That it makes little difference of what was, what had been between any two souls. And instead to work towards a bigger goal. That our little petty strives cause nothing but discordance, disruption and misery. And these ideals are not foreign at all, but as you can see created through the greatest people of mankind themselves. How could the God-Emperor and the Primarchs, or the High Lords of Terra have faulted? No. They acted all those thousands of years with what mankind was truly about. Unity, not division."

Rei grunted for a moment, looking at the paintings after Amleth was done, then back at him. She was thinking, trying to think of what to make of it. Especially since the headache as suddenly went as it came. And she felt... More relaxed, and actually found it hard to debate against Amleth's words. He was right. But it still was... Off. Without an opinion of her own she just watched what the rest of the group would do.[/SPOILER]

"What a cursed bother..." Alnar cussed and struggled to stay standing a brief moment. All this was overwhelming and sudden, no real words could he give to make sense of this. So nothing else to do but follow and see where this leads. Visions, dead mon'keigh heroes appearing out of nowhere. Either a really bad drug trip or someone was toying with warpforces.

Once at the paintings, Alnar kind of zoned out, not caring about humanity's history or their figures.
"I thought we were supposed to have Tau propaganda shoved down our throats. Instead we get this mon'keigh drivel." The headache didn't encourage thinking, he wanted to resist this all. Alnar tried to push it all out of his mind, thinking of home, of better times.

Obiken followed their kill-squad apothecary into the secondary bridge, just in time to see most of the fighting wrapped up. Brother Goreparan charged into the fray where their Space Wolf brothers were, and he tore into the Tau fire troopers. Utilizing the distraction at hand, the techmarine took the time to get into cover before leveling his multi melta at two fire troopers reloading their pulse rifles. Spotting the primary console to the bridge nearby, he made adjustments to the line of fire in order to not detonating the mission objective, before firing.

The blast of superheated gas incinerated the cover along with the two tau troopers, killing both of them instantly. At the same time, Obiken registered an explosion nearby and looked over to see their Deathwatch Captain caught up in an explosion along with the Tau Battlesuit. He shook his head internally; anyone else would've gotten a scowling from him, though Captain Varuuk's pedigree chapter gave him the proper respect for his armor's machine spirit, so he could do much more than the average astartes might at repair rituals and such. Taking account for the rest of the kill-squad, the techmarine rose up as the last enemies surrendered.

Ignoring the kneeling Tau, Obiken trusted that their captain would deal with them accordingly. If not, then it would fall under Brother Goreparan's jurisdiction as to what to do with the xeno flesh as their apothecary. Either way, he had work to do that had naught to do with the still living xenos. The techmarine scanned the area once more to see if there were any incoming enemies or surprises, before heading over to the console of the secondary bridge. With prayers chanting from his lips, he kept his mind focused on the Omnissiah while familiarizing himself with the heretical technology, to better lock out all control once he had forced the engines into overdrive, and on course to smash as many vessels as the ship could as it broke the barricade.
  9. Karack still looked at it all with a questioning look on his leathery features. The history lessons and what Amelth was telling them sounded to close to what the principle the Tau followed, this 'Greater Good', for it all to be coincidence. With the headache receding now, the Teethspeaker was able to think a bit clearer now, looking at everything that was showed to them and what had happened at a distance now, as the accomplishments of the Imperium wasn't well known or important to the Verathian as it was possibly to Amelth or Rei. It made the Verathian believe more that this was all still apart of the Tau's efforts, he just wasn't sure as to how. "...This all seems like when an eldar of my village would tell stories of a hero or legend to the younglings, trying impart an important lesson in the end." Karack said aloud, hoping the others and the inquisitor was hearing him at least. "I...I think this is how they persuaded so many humans to join the them, using your heroes and their deeds to show their Greater Good in a more...personal way.
  10. Taec Taec Arkhona Vanguard

Laeris narrowed his eyes during all of the images that flashed past. In his time in Commoragh, he had experienced both hallucination and drugs. But this...this was something else. Once this had passed, and they walked down the hall, Laeris felt somewhat safer.

However, when they reached the paintings, he became bored. Human propaganda was of no interest to him. He walked towards the other eldar, sighing at the mon'keigh and removing his helmet. Holding his helmet under his left arm, he used the right to brush back his hair. The other alien then began talking, and after listening to it's theory on the greater good, he leaned into Alnar and whispered, "If this was the case, how many of these humans do you think would be foolish enough to listen?"
