"That means he lets you humans fight and die first, before hugging all the glory to himself." The Kroot said with a creepy smile on his beak before turning back to Razauil. "Either way. As long as the Daemon dies, I assume mission can be considered accomplished and therefor would benefit anyone who survives." He elaborated with a slight shrug. "On a Daemon World in the middle of a garden of Nurgle." Veronica reminded him, putting a hand on his shoulder and not letting of him go for now. "Let me know if you sense something." Reality was that Virgil could sense... Everything. The stench, the temptation of the fruits, their tasty smell, he could almost taste them. And those eyes... So many eyes were watching them...
"Indeed, my most eldarly kroot friend," Razauil smiled as they walked through the garden. "Just be careful, places like this tend to damage more than just your body." It was perhaps somewhat irrelevant that he stated this, but he was sadly all-too familiar with cursed tricks of the Neverborn.
Valen- "Wait, what Nurgle I have no idea what the hell the 4 gods are I really need to get some hypno indoctrination to just know that all xenos, and daemons are out there rather than some, so when we get back can we do that so i can know a lot more about this war that we are fighting against the 4 gods of the eight pointed star." *Valen was aggravated that he doesn't know a lot about the fight and how he is going to fight the daemons he was trained to kill xenos but never taught to the the manifestations of the warp until he signed the contract with the inquisitor, Valen sighed and nodded his head in a no fashion*
- Virgil "Too much too process. We need to keep moving, this place seeks to ensnare us. We must hurry, I need a quick distraction." Virgil said through his breather. He turned to the Valen, an idea taking root. Virgil placed the tip of his staff on the trooper head. "You might feel a slight pinch, everywhere." In a flash, Virgil uploaded a breif summery of the warp and those who dwelled within. With a few added primers of the ordos, a ward for secretly/protection and then a calming image of a beach. 'This has been an unregistered hypno-tutoring, please report to a registered indoctinator after this mission to be cleansed for this information or else. A message from your friendly sanctioned Inquisitorial Psyker.' Virgil's voice said in Valen's head.
"On guard squad, our enemy knows our approach. We must not be divided, physically or mentally! My shield is yours my team mates. Let us put an end to this foul stain on the Imperium and claim victory over the enemy of Mankinf. Virgil I would request you refrain from further using your warp tricks on your fellow squad mates at this time. A demon world is no place to play with duch forces, until absolutely necessary. Do we understand one another?" Phoebus trusted his squad, those he's fought besides especially. But risks here meant death for those caught unprepared. The Astropath was a beacon for the enemy to track. Phoebus had his inferno pistol drawn and storm shield activated.
But they just walked where the living forest wanted them.... Davarus noticed first as he stepped on the softer ground, before it was too late he leaped far forwards. But those between him and Razauil-Cha'ka would have trouble. The soft ground unleashed roots that reached for the individuals feet and hold them tight. Veronica started cutting them apart, but new roots shot out each time and the ones cut off started crawling around like worms. Cha'ka with his super-human reflexes jumped back with Loki before they got on the root surface, but everyone else including SA582 and Selina were held tightly by the roots. In the distance, coming from behind a loud, earthshaking stomping could be heard. "WHO ENTERS MY GARDEN TO STEAL MY FRUITS?!" It was not in visible range yet due to all the woods in the way, but where it walked - the trees fell.
"Well il be anoyed" as drax spoke he aimed his handflamer and spoke again "flames going down watch yourselves" with that he picked up the closest none astarte which was virgil and burnt the roots grabing "davras catch" and with that he threw the man to the acolyte (ooc hopefully this is not to much)
Valen looked at the roots and poked the roots with his Hellgun. "We've come to defend mankind from the who want to enslave us all!"
The roots burned, but it harmed them little. the lightweight Virgil was flew threw the air and Davarus caught him, crushing on the ground with the Psyker on top of him. But a root was still attached on his foot, trying to pull him in. Davarus' grip was too strong for the single root. "SOMEBODY SHOOT THAT ROOT OR ELSE THE PSYKER IS A GONER!" He demanded from the rest of the group, for the sake of Virgil - someone with a good aim better do something fast...
