"Is there some sort of course I can take to learn how to speak Loki, or is that one of those things that come with age?", Ry'thss groaned in frustration. This man was worse than any oracle she'd met in her travels - at least those tended to be somewhat clear in their predictions. Loki was more like a broken children's toy - 'Reply unclear, ask again at a later date'. "I'll give you that you're kind of likable in the same way Wusel was adorable. A cute predator. But I'm certainly no Big White. I lack the teeth." Half as proof, half because he was kind of charming, Ry'thss grinned, showing a distinct lack of big teeth.
"I don't know, you are the linguist here, Ry'thss!" Loki continued with his laughter, obviously having a good time. "Sadly, I only heard about your child, never had the chance to meet him but if he was anything like his mother, I'm sure he was adorable!" "But tell me Ry'thss, why did you join the Inquisitor's retinue? You could surely see that you might be classified as a mutant to some people we meet during our travels, not to mention this is Ordo Xenos. Perhaps you aren't an alien per se, but you are not entirely human either. And please, don't think I'm judging or anything, I'm just really curious. Just don't tell me it was sightseeing!"
"I will lie to you then", Ry'thss replied, leaning back and wishing for tea. "In all seriousness, you flatterer, it was curiosity. I wanted to see the world, and so I went travelling, drifting from crew to crew, from ship to ship, from world to world, always alone. My adventuring was ended by a Rogue Trader by the name of Marcellius who 'recruited' me as a translating trophy." She paused as her voice, previously bearing a certain fondness, now turned quite grim. "I lived through constant humiliation. It was a painful time. Veronica basically rescued me." Ry'thss' eyes fell shut as she finished, and paused for a second, as if asleep. "Why are you here? You seem to be more of a captain type."
"Ah, I never took you for a damsel in distress, but I guess it's possible," he shrugged, watching his reflection on the water tank's mirror. "Why did I join? Well now..." this time, Loki was the one to lean forward, "I'll tell you a little secret, but you must promise to keep it to yourself. Thing is...they think I joined because I had to, because I was forced to, but the truth is that I wanted to be here because it gives me a myriad of opportunities, to both learn...and act accordingly. Also, I am a passionate gambler, amongst other things, and I love to play this game!" OOC with that last sentence, I'm off to play some basketball bot if needed, after the talk Loki will join others and go to the planet below.
"Trust me when I say I didn't, either." Ry'thss was happy to hear him reveal a secret to her. It was like this entire talk was all just fluff and flattery, like a doily - unimportant to the cake. Which was his relevation in this case, the first ever trace of a personality that Loki had hidden. Now what she was curious about was whether he really did like her or just manipulated her - it chewed on her patience, but she realized it wouldn't be prudent to force something out of him if he clearly wasn't willing to divulge. "Thank you, Loki", she only said with a slight, pleasant smile, not forced at all. "Thank you for trusting me." OOC: Well, you have fun!
OOC: KISS! KISS! KISS! KISS THE MASK! <Hive World - Narration>A big, slow moving planet in the void, near the Maelstrom. Surprisingly only victim of Orks. No sight of Dark Eldar Raiders or Red Corsairs until several hours ago when a combined force tried to raid this world and take the Deathstrike Missiles of this world. The planet has twice the length of a day of Terra, but it is almost not noticeable as the Hive Towers block the sun along with the smokes of the industrial sectors. Since Ork attacks are common, this world is strongly supported by the Adeptus Mechanicus, allowing to forge war-machinery locally. And due to the slow moving, requiring basically five terran years for a single year here, the temperate zones are extreme. Deserts that burn with hundreds of degrees on the one side, the other with tundras with hundreds below zero degrees. Along the equator it was rather temperate and basically the only safe place. As if it was made for nothing but population, all water reservoirs were underground. Being drained and pumped by huge water towers and drills. Food comes from a planet in the same sector, because the food production simply never is enough for a Hive World produced by itself. The higher hives where also the Governor Palace and a temple of the Cult Mechanicum, along with the Imperial Guard Headquarters are located, is luxury a standard. But in the lower hives. It is not just the standard low quality, but something else was going on... People get kidnapped and never found. The amount increasing over the last two months. But yet not high enough for the Arbites or other organizations to consider doing anything big scale. Gang activity was rather low overall, though the black market was well known. The problem was rather that a Rogue Trader owned it who had more than just a private army. Additional to that, no signs of Chaos as far as the Ecclesiarchy can tell. So who... Or what is responsible? The planet deciding to had enough of it's forced upon lifestyle?Infiltrators kidnapping and indoctrinating the lost souls?Sacrifices to a god of chaos or other? One would never find out, as long as none would care. Welcome to Shermur.
OOC: I somehow find this to be the most important part of that post :| BUT ANYWAYS, ISN'T IT GREAT THAT MY CHARACTER ISN'T TRYING TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH ANYONE?! IC: -Selina- Selina simply kept waiting in the Valkyrie.
OOC: Since I see this.... Just assume there are enough Valkyries and / or space transports from the orbital station we docked at so that everyone can leave and return as they please. Be it alone or in groups.
OOC: Ah, I see. THEN THE SELINA HIVE WORLD CHRONICLES SHALL START! IC: -Selina- Selina looked around in the Valkyrie. Phoebus (I think it was) was in there. She got up, took her Eviscerator and went to another Valkyrie that looked ready to lift off, and got in there. The Valkyrie lifted off, and left the hangar, the front of the Valkyrie directed towards Shermur.
