"If you wish, I can go down on the planet while you deal with the Governor," the Khan said as he stepped from the shadows of the briefing room, until then he was content staying in the back and watching the proceedings. "I understand your need for information and certain procedures, but even if the orbital station and its occupants are tainted, all you have to do is clear out and nuke it with the ship's guns." "But if that happens the heretics will undoubtedly be alarmed and might go into hiding with the possibility of fleeing before we even deploy to the planet. With me on the ground, that will turn the odds in our favor. I can scout around the shrine, look for something unusual and lay down the preliminary works until you get there. It gives more tactical options to us to have and that's hardly a bad thing."
"Mistress, honestly we can find out the governor's guilt from the planet but vise versa may not be true. Infiltration planet side seems like the best first step." And with that he withdrew back to the shadows.
With Takeshi standing up for Kai, Alicia sighed irritably before the trio of K'tikathat, Pierce and Ogedei asked some questions that were worth explaining so she said "It would make sense for K'tikathat to stay hidden and so it will do it's best to stay out of sight but Pierce after that farce of an attempt at stealth last time, don't bother hiding your identity. Finally, the check in with the Govenor is to get an overview of the political situation on Tharsax III which is not going to be some hour-long talk about the planet's history and so we're all going to it just to ensure we don't accidentally set off any political powder-kegs. Anyways, you're all dismissed, get your gear and then get to the Valkyrie for our vist to the station. We'll come back to fetch any vehicles we might need to use for the investigation planetside." When they got to the Armoury, they'd find that there were some new additions to their choices of weaponry (OOC: In italics!). As usual, 2 Special Ammo (3 for K'tikathat due to Bandolier) and two grenades Ranged: Auto/stubrifles, Auto/stubpistols, Shotguns Lasgun, Laspistol Flame: Hand Flamer, Heavy Flamer Melee: Basic Chain-weapons (Knives, Swords + Axes, etc.) Basic Edged/Blunt Weapons (Combat Knives, Mauls(Unpowered), etc.) Grenades: Frag/Krak/Stun/Blind/Incendiary Special Ammo: Bolter Kraken/Hellfire/Dragonfire Auto/Stub/Shotgun AP/AI(Anti Infantry)/Incendiary Exitus: Turbo Penetrator/ Shield Breaker / Incendiary
Kais grabs a Laagun, Autopistol with 1 AP and one AI clip, an incendiary grenade, and a frag grenade. When no one is looking, she grabs a dataslate, and puts it in a pouch.
K'tikathat pulls off the cloth covering his weapons. The encounter with the metallic beast on the Underhive broke his blades and left him momentary unarmed. Apparently he did well though as Inquisitor gifted him with upgraded weapons; a pair of chain tonfas. They are bulkier than his previous blades, the chain blade and it's engine making them front heavy, unbalanced, and noisier. The arm is shorter and lacking restrains for elbow securing, meaning greater strain for wrists. With these blades he can't track target silently. But the events of Verdan Prime taught K'tikathat that this job isn't about subtlety. Raw power is what he was lacking. With these boron nitride teeth the rippers hold on semi-chinsel pattern K'tikathat can cover that flaw. Start and throttle controls integrated into the grips they can be operated easily. Guard running on backside protects him from splatters and the chain in case of kickback or severance. Should he want to for some reason, it also allows reverse grip of the weapon, bar nose dangerously close to his elbows, using the tonfa arm as less-lethal weapon. K'tikathat inspect the weapon, feeling it around, it's balance, how hard it drags behind it after swing because of mass and momentum. These certainly take time to get used to. But adaption is only way to survive, stagnation is death sentence. They also sit worse on back frame, something that needs reworking once they return. At least tehy should stay in place as long K'tikathat doesn't go rolling around too much. From weapon racks Kroot picks up rifle, decent enough substitute to the ones he learned to use back on jungle. He picks three clips of solid core rounds, also known as armor-piercing (AP). The chain weapons bolster his ability to cut through armor and light metal plating, but it's more certain to use fire-arms designed for such matter. Lastly K'tikathat picks up two frag grenade and places them and clips to the bandolier, where they sit neatly compared to being stuffed between the leather straps and Kroots body, like he did before.
Kais saw K'tikathat in the armory, and went over to him. "Hello, K'tikathat. I just wanted to say, when you attacked the giant Xeno creature, it was impressive ans brave. We wouldn't have been standing here right now, if not for you. I thank you for that."
The Silver Shroud simply took whatever he needed and was allowed to grab, hiding pretty much all out of sight beneath his coat except for his Power Maul which hang on the side of his waist, always visible. He looked at the Fire Warrior (@Coffeechipmunk ) and simply gave a decisive nod before taking his leave to the Valkyrie. At the entrance to the Armory 'Firebat' waited for three people to leave and handed each a vial of ingestable poison to use. These three were Boris, Silver Shroud, and Pierce. To Pierce and Silver Shroud handed them each an envenomed magazine of their choice weapon. When they were gone he did his own shopping. He also stopped the inquisitor. Ferenien nodded at the armory, re-gearing into his Tempestor protection, removing his coat down to his linker-bodysuit, him swiftly attaching the armored carapace segments to form an internal environmental seal as he completed such a task. After the required armor to make an environmental seal had been placed, he had to put on the more external parts, including the carapace plackart, greaves and tassets. At the point where his armor appeared to be completely identical to his initial deployment on what was worn, he would grab his gear: The power pack alongside the supply pack, the Grav-Chute; The more conventional items such as his beloved Ryza Hotshot Lasgun was included, as well as the Hellpistol conveniently placed near it, the Lasgun was clipped and attached to his power pack, whilst the Hellpistol was holstered atop an outer cuisse-module. His gearing up was finished, but required one last cherry to top it off- The helmet, Ferenien grabbed his onyx helmet, placing it atop his head, completely sealing his flesh and blood from being exposed to the world. With this, The Scion left with a nod towards the Valkyrie.
