  1. Kais chuckled under her breath to his response. "Maybe ask next time, then? May do you good. I'm Sha'la Tash'Var Kais, but you can call me Kais, you 'frakkin alien lover,'" Saying the last part in her best masculine human voice. "Speaking of which, you never told me yours."

"Don't tempt me to break your skull open, your butchering of our language along with your disrespect is not very welcome." The Arbites narrowed his battle-scarred eyes making him look probably ten years older than he was. "You can call me the Silver Shroud, Sha... I just call you Kai, what about that. Not like you have much choice but to endure whatever we want with you." He shook his head as he 'guided' the female alien to the med-bay.

"If you want a quick and less painful death you will find it on the battlefield, piss the wrong people on-board off and you will be tortured to death, perhaps even revived just so you can be killed again. And if you are just lucky enough you won't end up with the Inquisitor or me during those.... Interrogations." Perhaps fear would motivate the blue alien to cut the comedy-act. Probably the thing has gone insane from the pain and isolation.

  3. "Silver Shroud, huh? Very... Mysterious. I like it. " They entered the med bay, and Kais inhaled through her mouth, smelling the sterileness. "Okay, tough guy. I'll back off. Maybe a tour later, though?"

"I won't let you off the hook so easily. I will watch your every step, accompany you wherever you go. I am your shadow." He couldn't help but get his 'Silver Shroud Voice' on for that sentence alone, before continuing normal. "The Inquisitor yet has to determine whether you will be helpful, or an obstacle. And if I would be in your shoes I would rather quickly find out what makes you so special beyond your blue skin and the capability of firing a weapon, because the Vostroyan and the Scion both excel you in that most likely." Perhaps he did see a bit of himself and his old Arbites-mentor still in the alien and himself, having already lived through the 'you are nothing special, so better figure it out quick what makes you a unique asset' phase when he was caught playing Arbites as a Ganger. With crossed arms he judged the alien to be nothing special, just another gun in the group. It was a horrible trade-off to lose Astra to this vile xenos, she at least was something proper, smart, courteous and a blank.

  5. Kais listened to his entire speech, gigling under her breath when he used hs Silver Shroud voice. "I was still shooting when my arm was blasted off, so I can still shoot. I can see past you Human vsual spectrum, giving me an edge. Plus, you have the Kroot here, so your standards aren't that high."
She thinks for a seconds before speaking again. "How about this: If I pass, you give me a tour. If I fail, you can personally kill me, or whatever happens when one fails the test. Sound fair?"

OOC: All I can think about when you use that character:

OOC: Youtube link ain't work for me.

"The Kroot is an excellent hunter, he doesn't even have to stop in a bathroom because his body simply excretes everything as sweat." The Arbites stated matter-of-fact. "Your vision can be replicated with bionic eyes and as said, everyone else can shoot, not just you. So find that one thing that makes you better than others. I am not the best warrior, but I know how to get information. You for example just told me that you have visual spectrums beyond human eyes, while I have not even asked about it, nor know about it. I have an edge over you, I know a lot about you while you know nothing about me. You know I got a Maul, that I have a codename, that I am talented in speaking with other voices and that I work for the Inquisitor. But what do you know about me? Nothing. No name, rank, talents, purpose, nothing. Given your focus on shooting I would even say you would be horrible, perhaps even useless in melee." 'The Silver Shroud' stated further as a Medical Servitor approached, after sitting Kais down on a medical bed.

"I can offer you protection and safety in the Inquisitor's service, but I will be harsh and without mercy. In other words. I offer you to become my Protégé, Aspirant, Student, Assistant, Apprentice or whatever you want to call it. Because I believe you have potential with your unique background. Not many can act or let go of their personal beliefs to act differently like I did. But you. You gave up on your entire civilization to rummage through a hive-dump. If you are ready to let go for good, I can teach you ways that will allow you to live amongst Humans seen as an equal, Azure Phantom." Takeshi did not know whether he has gone insane, or if it was a stroke of genius. But the answer of the Alien should be interesting, the least to say.

  7. OOC: Try this one

Kais looked at him with cold, steely eyes. "I didn't give up on anyone," she said with a low tone, slouched over. She straightened up, and cleared her throat, voice still deflated. "I do like that though, Azure Phantom. Maybe I rubbed off a little on you. Besides, from past experience, I don't want to sloop down to the level of Humans. Humans have done nothing for me, but hurt me. You guys are different, but not by much. I'll gladly become your apprentice, but I wont try to become a human. Understood?" Her joking tone gone, filled with a serious montone.

OOC: You are aware that is exactly what I am going for, right? :p

"You should. The first lesson, element of surprise. If you can convince everyone, everywhere you go to be a human being, doors that were closed before you will open. You won't sacrifice your ways, but you will learn how to shroud them. It is like during night operations to become one with the night, to strike from the shadow and take out the enemy before he even realizes you were there. I don't want you to become something you are not, that would make you useless, as you would be a servant like a Servitor. Instead, I want to give you the tools and training to become one of the Inquisitor's retinue. You see. The Kroot is plenty hated wherever we go, wherever we attend and even jeopardized our last deployment. That however, ain't helpful at all. So I want you to teach the wonderful art of deceit, or nicely put... Acting. And I tell you right upfront to make it believable, you better get used to using Human gear, or at least colored and with insignia... One of the very important things is to understand what insignia, symbol, color, and so on mean what, if you want to be believable. It is especially important when infiltrating gangs which create their own symbolism in order to identify intruders. Here is your very first one, the Sign of the Aquilla, a universal greeting across the Imperium of Mankind.:

He made the sign of the aquila by turning the back of his hands toward Kais, twining his thumbs around one another and stretching his fingers out straight like birds wings, the thumbs representing the eagle heads of the Imperium.

"Once you learn to give up obvious signs and symbolism of your own when the need is there, then you can fully become an Interrogator, an asset. If you behave like a Tau, fight like a Tau, talk like a Tau, look like a Tau. Then you are just that, an alien that everyone desires to purge. I am not asking you to become what you are not, but to be capable of behaving as if you were. I am not an Arbitrator, not anymore, but. I still can act like one."

  9. OOC: I couldn't reverse image that picture, did you take it yourself?
    "Okay."
She looked up at him, with a stern face. "I'll be... The Azure Phantom." She nods in agreement. "How do I not.. Look Tau? We have a very 'Blueberry' look," saying blueberry with air quotes. "Oh, and, don't go dying on me?" She puts her hand out to shake.

    OOC: Google for lyfe.

He took the hand and shook it rough. "Enforcer armor would do you well. Or we repaint your own armor. It is something we would have to discuss with the Inquisitor and depending on how far you are ready to go. After your medical check up is done I am sure we can arrange something. Just get used on wearing full-body armor, as I do... Except that I lack my helmet as you can see. The Angel of Death, the Space Marine, the big white guy. You would not guess he looks human under the armor, too, if you wouldn't know better. Imagine like that. As long as people do not know, they won't think about it." With a proper example found and explained he straightened his posture.

"I will have a talk about you with the Inquisitor, and if I find my trust in you misplaced... I will see it to myself to solve that issue. But I have the feeling that you know better, and that you are more than capable of comprehending the situation you found yourself in, remember young Phantom. We are here to serve the Inquisitor." A meaningful nod is the last the Tau would get before Takeshi turned on his heel and marched to the Inquisitor's Office.
