Staying up high in the shadows, Ogedei loaded his pistol with the hellfire rounds as he searched the battlefield for people of interest. Such was Space Marine's role, to be used as a shock troop and not caught up in prolonged conflict. Therefore, the moment the Khan saw two enemy psykers was the moment he locked his hud on them, waiting for the right time to jump. As soon as the troops broke in and the fight started, he would activated his jump pack and try to land on top of the psykers and attempt to flatten them with his first impact, after which he would proceed into hacking them to pieces.
K'tikathat disembarks from the vehicle and rolls behind pew. From his position he fires his rifle at cultists in order he spots them, not focusing on special targets yet. Thinning enemy lines comes first, suppressing them out of their defiance of defensive positions.
Kais went behind cover, throws a grenade into the group of them, and fires fully auto into the crowd.
Miria set into combat immediately, firing her bolter into the heavy weapons teams armed with missile launchers, seeking to prevent that firepower from joining the fight. As she did she took to looking for suitable cover. Power armor was good, but not invulnerable.
~~Cathedral- Main Assault~~ Ferenien started off the assault from his newly acquired vantage point with his hotshot lasgun blasting one of the leaders squarely in the chest with Flak armour doing nothing to protect the man from the Scion's wrath, while Pierce's Exitus Pistol claimed the lives of one of the Heavy Subbler teams, Exitus rounds shredding the followers of false gods like wheat fell to a harvester. K'tikathat managed to claim a few cultists, autogun nailing one in the head and another one riddled with bullets but not where near enough to cause any real dent in the opposition's numbers. The team's other Xenos, Kais failed to do anything at all to the cultists, lasgun fire failing to even harm a single cultist to a noteable degree and her grenade fell short of the cultist, while Takeshi fired his shotgun and claimed a another cultist kills, and Boris's Heavy Stubber also claimed a few kills, but both didn't do that much to make a real dent in their numbers. Miria however, brought ruin upon one of the teams with a Missile Launcher, with two of the launcher's crew died in a hail of bolts This strong performance meant that the PDF and Arbites had a good opetunity to inflict their own damage upon the enemy, with the combinded firepower of the various hand picked troops being enough to cause a more considerable number of deaths and serious injuries on the cult's followers, while two of the flamer teams finished off the teams that Pierce and Miria softened up, while the third had some.... Technical difficulties with their equipment. Ogedei then came down like a thunderbolt , landing in the middle of the Psykers and while one dodged his chainsword, the other one ended up losing his left arm. Alicia also struck, duelling one of the other Leaders and a brutal blow from the Inqusitor ended up leaving a huge gash across the leader's chest. The Repressors, clearly having been modified for more aggressive forms of action let loss torrents of flame across the battlefield from their pintle mounted Heavy Flamers, burning a moderate amount of the cultists that didn't have the good sense to take cover, while the Chimeras mopped up the survivors that were still alive in the wake of the firestorm that had been unleashed by the Repressors. Now, the Cult returned their beating, with the first set of worshippers claiming a solid number of kills of the group of PDF troopers and Enforcers, while their leaders were either good, such as the one that landed a minor blow on Sedric, autogun striking him in the right shoulder, to the bad, such as the one that was duelling Alicia, only barely fending off her assault to the worse, such as the one who was wounded by Ferenien who had his hotshot lasgun blowing up in his face. The Heavy Weapons Teams then let loss their deadly weapons, the Heavy Stubbler tearing up a few loyal servents of the Emperor while the Missile Launcher fired a Krak Missile at one of the Repressors, warhead connecting with the hual and then imploding to tear off some armour. Meanwhile Psykers prepared their powers, and neither had any problems casting, the less wounded one drawing upon Nurgle's favour to unleash a virus that targeted steel rather than flesh, causing Ogedei's Chainsword to literally rot away into uselessness, while the more wounded one unleased some Doombolts upon the Space Marine, as the bolts collided with the Space Marine and propelled him into one of the Cathedral's wall, causing considerable wounds to the Astarte's form. The Elite Cultist,s however, remained resolute for the moment as they held their position, not moving in response to the violence raging in front of them. "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." Boris' voice could be heard bubbling up over the chatter of heavy stubber and massed weapons fire. Mouth open and still bearing the joyous corner stitching of a man in his glory the Vostroyan set himself up at the center of it all with chest puffed out and arms thick as an Ork's absorbing the abusive recoil of thuggish deliverer of sanctified slugs. "On broken soles did our shatter souls march. Upon avenues of sundered hopes and over roads of crushed inspiration. Backs laden with ammo, necks burdened by dread while were ill fed. Not one man dared stumbled, not one mouth dared mutter. " Voice a grim, gravely grumble audible only thanks to Boris' developed habit of speaking in great volume the war song was closer to a funeral dirge or lamentation rather than any great call to arms or inspirational tale. Heavy weapon swung around hard and Boris braced his heel upon an armored corpse leaning back some and turning weapons gross rate of fire upon the elite cultists in the back refusing to let them get idle shots off on the others. "High up the sky, amid tumbling birds and smoke stacks so great, did we see His face so laden with shame, mother Vostroya and all her sons to blame. "
Takeshi placed his boarding shield in front of himself, slamming it on the ground as he ducked behind it, reloading his Shotgun, being right next to Boris. "Nice song you got there, but it ruins the sound of bullets which are an own melody by themselves, Vostroyan!" The Arbites-Ganger joked with a wide grin under his helmet, lifting his shield and presenting the closest Cultist a shotgun aimed at his or her face before squeezing the trigger in attempt to scatter the victim's brain mass all over the floor, similar to how he ended the Cardinal's life. His current goal was to simply give the heavy weapons man cover, and grab the attention of the enemy should anyone of them dare to attempt a melee surprise for them. OOC: Shotgun, regular ammo, vs. Cultist Group
Ferenien adjusted his position, moving to a farther part of the railing-- He didn't want the filthy cultists to get a bead on his position with every volley he fired downwards toward them. The Scion reaffixed his Hotshot Lasgun atop the railing and took aim once more. The leaders had to go. Votum, once more, would aim at what seemed to be the most physically able Leader, firing at them from his current position. The Tempestor tactically assuming without able leaders in the warzone, the entirety of the force would diminish in tactics, skill, and morale. He reported in to his compatriots through vox-bead. "Votum taking aim once more. Weakening leaders for ground-level units to dispatch easily."
'Firebat' steps away for now to vox the attacking team. Then he shrugs to himself. He tosses in a Krak grenade at where the leader sits and unleashes the Holy Toxin Flames of his makings. He makes a fire to burn them all the heretics.
As he regained his senses after being introduced with a nearby wall, Ogedei shook his head and threw the useless chainsword away, pulling out his combat knife and at the same time switching with his pistol to hellfire rounds. Targeting the same duo of psykers, the Khan unleashed a salvo of bolts at them as he tried to get to some cover if possible.
