~~Backroom/Banquet Hall~~ In the backroom, Astra fled from the current fight and retrieved Sedric's lasgun from the van, passing it to the Guardsman so that he could now use that trusty rifle to deal with the bunch of Plague Zombies that Miria had inadvertently let loose. The Sister of battle herself would deal considerable damage to the one Astra had attacked earlier, Power Sword cleaving through rotting flesh like a hot knife through butter, while Sedric's boot did a bit of damage to the one attacking him. The zombies responded, two attacking Miria and failing to harm her as she dodged both bite and claw while Sedric got a zombie clawing at his.... Rear end. In the Banquet hall however... Alicia managed to fend off an clumsy swing of the Zombie's arms, while both Orrus Spyrer's bolts and Yeld Spyrer's lasers missed the Zombie and nearly hitting the fleeing guests, who were managing to get out of the way of Boris's Heavy Stubbler quick enough that he would be able to let it loose without causing some major Civilian casualties. Only to land by the officer, knocking her out for the rest of the fight, but Kais's good luck was echoed by K'tikathat's bad luck, as the tonfa was broken into shreds by the Xeno machine's heavy stubber barrels. At least the Krak grenade did its job as it imploded and destroyed the Heavy Stubber, leaving it unable to attack at range. As for Pierce, the envenomed shot hit its mark as the Squad leader fell down dead from the Vindicare's shot and the toxins forced the man's corpse to start dissolving.... After the shoot, the Exitus rifle suffered a jam in the Vindicare's hands, weapon having an apparent defect that need the attention of someone like Zoran. The PDF squad then had another go at wiping out the opposition, with the Chimera still missing any and all targets in range of the Multilaser, their Squad Leader landing a solid lasgun shot on one of the remaining rebels, which Terna then finished off with a laspistol shot to the head. Arano and Zerta then tag-teamed the last insurgent, Arano loping off the woman's arm while Zerta shot her in the head. Out of the remaining Freedom's Angels, only their Machine was still fighting, and it was pissed at losing the Heavy Stubbler, as the eyes turned a darker shade of red as rage overtook the machine. While K'tikathat managed to avoid being clawed again, the PDF Squad leader would find his life being cut short, his head bitten off by the Xeno Machine and it then turned it's attention to the Vindicare, the machine jumping up and clamping its jaw around Pierce's other leg and pulling him down to the ground, outside the building he was hiding in. --------- Retinue Firebat: 4 {10} : Pierce: 7 {12}: In Left Building, lost right leg. K'tikathat stumbles backwards as the Beast jumps on the Chimera and decapitates soldier he hadn't paid attention before. K'tikathat feels his body to shiver, massive blood loss of the wounds caused by the Beast and failure of his team-mates healing attempts from earlier combined with exhaustion of battle draining the life itself from him. Just what was that Beast? Krak grenade, designed to punch through armor, placed upon the ammo-feed of the creature did nothing. K'tikathat remember seeing warmachines of Man taken out from lesser damage in some distant past of his life. None of them had weapons cause any damage to it. Only thing that comes to his mind is the missile launcher rebels used to ambush the Chimera. But the room the weapon team were and soon rest of the building seems to be in flames.
Seeing the enemy, the Khan moved like lighting and charged through the mob of highborns and towards the plague zombies, aiming to get the one who spooked all these humans. Once he got clear shot he would open fire with his bolt pistol on the monstrosity before getting in close and basically intent on cutting the thing apart with his chainsword. In case humans got into way, he would restrain himself from shooting and just carve the zombie apart with his melee weapon.
