Ferenien responded to the incoming vox chatter; "This is Tempestor Votum, upholding orders given. This Scion will rendezvous with the Inquisitor as security personnel momentarily." After this had been stated, he would look atop his wrist-mounted 'tactical' data-slate to triangulate the sent vox signal, entering the cargo elevator and heading to the closest floor to the signal that the elevator can take him.
~~Underhive~~ Kais's Frag grenade was truly lucky, for it managed to land down the Xeno-Machine's gullet and into the heart of the machine, where it exploded with such force that it caused considerable damage to that travesty of technology. Likewise, K'tikathat's sudden assault on one of the weaker Rebels managed to kill the woman almost instantly, Kroot decapitating the human with a single blow. As for SPECTER-77, while the flames from his weapon failed to actually harm the last of the Heavy Weapons, the toxins finally did their work as he was struck down by the more invisible of the two killers that lurked in the Skitarii's flamer. Pierce's pistol did its work, as the Officer's hotshot lasgun was rendered useless by a accurate shot to the weapon, but unfortunately, the Vindicare did not have a Frag grenade to hand. (OOC: Pierce took a Krak and a Blind Grenade, and you only have the Krak left.) As for the PDF Squad, it was painfully obvious that while Gek was a good driver, he was a horrible shot as the Chimera's Multilaser yet again failed to hit any of the targets present in the weapon's field of fire. The Squad Leader killed off another Rebel that was too slow to move from one piece of cover to another, while Terna's hasty shot towards the Xeno-Machine failed to do anything more than scorch the paint work on it. A panicked burst from Arano's autopistol towards the machine had the same effect as Terna's shooting i.e. nil. Zerta however, who was shooting at another rebel, and wounded the insurgent with a shot to leg. As for the Rebels, the first group managed to shoot one of their own in the head, and the second, blinded group sprayed bullets and lasers across the street but to no real effect. The lone Squad Leader did much better than his incompetent subordinates, as he shot Zerta in the chest. Meanwhile, the Officer had her run of luck broken, as the Vindicare's cover meant that her actual hotshot laspistol was unable to harm the lucky man. As for the Xenos Machine, its Heavy Stubber roared again, and more AP bullets spat out, this time striking the Skitarii in his right leg, while the animal-robot swiftly charged the Kroot, with its head then bashing him aside causing K'tikathat to fly into the side of the Chimera --------- Retinue Firebat: 7 {10} : Pierce: 10 {12}: In Left Building K'tikathat: 7 {10} Kais: 8 {10} : In Right Building Squad(Allies) Chimera (Hull Points: 5) Gek: 3 (In Chimera) Squad Leader: 3{4} Terna: 3 : Lost Long-Las Arano (Chainsword + autopistol): 3 Zerta (Lasgun) : 2 {3} Freedom's Angels Rebels x6: 2 : (x3 are Blinded for 1 turns) Squad Leader: 2 Officer: 3 : (Kneecapped, All attacks made towards her are done at +1, lost Hotshot Lasgun) Xeno-Machine: 13 {Miniboss} ~~Outer Structure-Van --> Courthouse~~ With the pair being together, they set off to the Courthouse, Fenerien being able to futher tend to his wounds from the battle with the Freedom's Angels squad while Zoran cleaned his dataslate of all traces of the evidence that the Inquisitor had been given from his search for information in Central Cogitator Unit. Once the pair reached the entrance to the Courthouse, the Arbitrator on duty said "Halt! Do you have business in the Courthouse?" ~~Courthouse~~ "Well... You see.... I can't call them off now, because it's a case of 'only give the message when the time was right and not before'.... So, I suppose you want to know about what my cultists would be doing then?" Merius explained, Takeshi managing to make the wannabe-cult leader see reason and more importantly, start give information that was relevant to the problem at hand. ~~Wasteland~~ As Ogedei headed back to the Lighter, he would find that it was perfectly intact and that the pilot was still alive, as he voxed the Marine with "My Lord, has your bike been damaged? I can fly over to where it rests and you can get it on board the Lighter, means that I don't have to make another trip out here." ~~Banquet Hall~~ Alicia replied to Boris's suggestion via comm-bead: "I say we wait, lets see if things develop by themselves before we stir up the locals." Either way, the third girl was quite liking the story so far even if it was a bit gory in places, the second turned up her nose and strutted off, while the first girl also seemed to like story so far, as she said "Do go on.... Even if Yasmelia is being a snob, as usual." ~~Backroom~~ As Miria opened the door, having her power sword at the ready turned out to be a smart move, as what looked like a rotting corpse... Stumbled out of the room, and tried to bite the Sister of Battle, but failed as it missed her by inchs. To compound the misery, three more corpses ended up stumbling out of that same room. Clearly, things have gone from ominously disturbing to much worse, with one of them trying to flee towards the Banquet hall. Retinue: Astra: 10 Miria: 10 Sederic: 10 What lurks behind closed doors. 'Firebat' grunted as auto rounds pierced his armor and leg. His augmentation automatically sent pain blocker signals to his brain but his movements were slowed. " Damage right leg, 50%. Medical treatment required." He turned to the xeno-machine to use his rare Iron-Eater Grenade from his own supply. It was full of anti-metal eating acid. Then just because he could against the regular rebels he released a blast of black fire. " Allies injuries building to 20 percent, Enemy casualties building to 50 percent, trade acceptable."
K'tikathat collides on Chimera with loud bang, feeling the rifle digging into his back. He collapses on ground, head slumping down. After regaining feeling to his feet, Kroot props himself up, using the armblades and Chimera as support. Flinging the rifle off his back and dropping it to ground, K'tikathat slashes his blades to his sides and screeches ferociously towards the mechanical beast. His blades aren't going to cut through the metal hide of the mechanical beast, but unless it's sturdy or gyro-stabilized, the hundred kilos of muscle exploding towards it will return the favor from earlier.
In company of a Stormtrooper,Adept Zeth made his way toward the Courthouse,a fortress and bastion of Imperial Law in the Hive Spire. Two men did not trade words...one trained not to,the other...unwilling.The man was clearly beneath his station. Once the pair reached the entrance to the Courthouse, the Arbitrator on duty said "Halt! Do you have business in the Courthouse?" Annoyed at the Arbitrator`s gall to stop a Magos-to-be...but then again glad that they were not letting everyone in,Zeth withdrew his cowl, showing the Arbitrator his face.A human gesture and thus pointless but then it may serve a purpose as etiquette goes. "Magos Errant Zoran Zeth sent here to aid the interrogation-efforts on behalf of Inquisitor Alicia."spoke casually young Adept,as he eyed the Arbitrator`s armor. For a moment,Techpriest wondered how much time would it take for his augurs to pierce the man`s armor and reach his intestines.Would it serve any purpose? He could use a new stock of liver-samples...
Pierce had looked to his belt, Noticing he had no frag grenade and had made a mistake made him curse quickly as he reloaded. Popping up from his cover again he began firing on the rebel troopers now aiming to thin the amount of heretics within the building to help allied forces then to possibly capture the injured rebel. Taking aiming he fired at the rebels aiming for there center bodies of mass.
"Plague zombies..." Miria attempted to thrust her blade upward through the offending beast's skull as she backed away and then drew her bolt pistol in an attempt to place a bolt in the back of the fleeing zombies skull. "Aim for the heads. Make sure they go down and stay down!" "Inquisitor. Plague zombies..." Miria stated in an attempt to warn her of what was truly at work.
~~ Courthouse ~~ Takeshi gritted his teeth beneath his helmet but nodded in agreement. "The more information, the better. And perhaps point me in the direction of your second-in-command, so I can indeed pull this off, saving your legacy and blaming whomever was under you, having simply undermined you and having created an underground cell, when you believed he was holding sermons in His Holy Name."
"Sure thing lad," Ogedei said as he hopped aboard, "And yeah, my bike has been damaged so I need you to fly to these coordinates and we can pick it up. Afterwards I want you to take us back to the hive, I need to inform the Inquisitor of my findings. We are definitely dealing with a chaos cult in service to their plague deity so the speed is of the essence."
Kais looked out at the giant beast, and saw K'tikathat charging at it. "He's insane..." Figuring she wouldn't do any damage to the XenoTech, she shot a burst at the Squad Leader.
