OOC: Here we are, fighting for our lives, and you guys are just having a grand ol' time in the posh Banquet Hall. "One down, 10 to go." Kais switched her target to the Officer who just called for reinforcements, and fires a burst in his direction.
Over the vox as he noticed leadership of the rebels going down. "Whoever that is shooting the leaders stop it, we need them for information." Just then the blast from a frag thrown him forward hurting him slightly. His face was all scratched up from the fragments that blasted past him, his tanks and his back armor a bit worse for wear. Luckily his flame tanks didn't rupture. His eyes started to glow a blue white, and he emitted a sound from his modified voice that was both eerie and meant to make the hairs of normal humans to stand. To the rebels, "Death of fire and brimstone await the unclean." His voice mechanical and low. His appearance is truly that of an mechanical horror as his cloak burned away. His silver and ash mixed armor started reflecting oddly in the flickering light of fire. His pale drawn face gave him a ghostly appearance as well. "Burn the Heretic, burn the unclean, BURN..." His toxin promethium ignited again a washing his victims in a dark flame that could have rose from hell itself.
<Wasteland> "Thanks for the information," Ogedei said and holstered his pistol, "You've been most helpful. Now here is your reward," and with that, the Khan took a step forward and brought his boot down, intent on flattening the man's skull with it and not wasting ammo or his blade on such a wretched creature. "A moment of laxity spawns a lifetime of heresy? Where did I hear that one before?" White Scar mused for a moment before he went back to Malaya to check his mike, maybe the damage wasn't final and maybe he could do something to it out here in order to fix it.
After inspecting the bodies, The Scion would reach with his right arm to his back, taking the M.G. Medikit atop his stacked pack, and begin mending the menial amount of wounds on his body. Once Ferenien was patched up he would return to guarding the perimeter of the van, as it needs to remain as it is for the others.
@torque @Casavay "Sedric. Astra. With me, both of you." She ordered over vox before nodding at the servant. "Could you point me in the right direction then?" She asked. She had a feeling that whatever it was, it sounded as if it was the work of ruinous powers.
~~ Courthouse ~~ He turned the Power Maul on and pushed it against the wall, to let it blacken the wall and spark a bit. "You will tell me who is behind the curtain, and I shall see that your legacy will not be sullied. I will simply claim that you died from an aneurysm, rather than heresy. And if we stop this rebellion, perhaps you will be post-mortem declared a saint. So choose your next words wisely.... Who is behind the corruption? Who are you serving, Cardinal?" He pointed his other, free hand towards the stench-emitting creature, taking one step forward.
Pierce felt several of the hot shot las shots hit his chest directly hitting him and causing scorch marks and possibly internal damage. The assassin only grunted in pain not caring for his life but for the mission he was given. Pierce saw Specter was thrown out the window as a frag caused a explosion to throw him out of the building and he was now without support from the inside. Refusing to go down without a fight the Vindicare rolled behind a wall in the building. Pain was building up in his chest as he readied himself for another round of shots for a counter attack. Grabbing his blind grenade of his belt he tossed it towards the rebels first. As he heard it go off he popped up from the corner and took aiming for the knee caps of the women with the hot shot las pistol Aiming to disable her movements before going for her weapons.
@Shadhunter "Uh... I'm sorry, but something came up with the retinue. I'll be right back." After excusing herself from the dialogue with this quite friendly noble, Astra replied back through her vox-bead. "I'm on my way." It wasn't particularly difficult to find the warrior woman, and keeping a polite distance, the Reman stepped next to her. "What do you need us for?"
@Shadhunter Sedric walks over taking a long drag in his cigar "hmmmm? What is needed of me?" Sedric is more than happy to help he doesnt enjoy talking to these lot any way, he notices that astra is here to sedric puffs his cigar and a big plume of smoke rolls out of his mouth hoping that hes about to be assigned to a new duty but is still deeply curious about those rigs
~~Underhive~~ As K'tikathat sliced up another Rebel who was still alive, barely surviving the flurry of blows he suffered. The sight of one of their own being consumed by the Kroot unnerved a few of the more cowardly rebels yet as a whole they kept fighting, the Officer and remaining Squad Leader rallying up the morale. As for Kais, the Fire Warrior would find that the carapace armour protected the Officer from her lasgun fire, clearly like in the Imperial Guard, the Freedom's Angels officers had the better equipment than the rank and file. SPECTER-77's flamer proved to provide another casualty, as another member of the Missile Launcher team died to the toxic flames, his screams echoing through the battlefield, but the team was still managing to hold on and resist the actual toxins. Meanwhile, Pierce's blind grenade went off in the mist of a group of Rebels, blinding them. The Vindicare's first shot missed the Officer, but his second one hit her in the right knee, blowing out her kneecap and causing a fair amount of blood loss. As for the PDF Squad, the Chimera's multilaser yet again failed to hit any of the targets that were in its arc of fire, while the Squad Leader fired off a shot that nailed the Rebel that the Kroot was attacking right in the head, while Terna managed to shoot one of the other rebels that were too dumb to try to get closer to her in the shoulder. Arano was busy fighting a Rebel with a bayonet on the end of her lasgun, and a quick blow from his chainsword deflected an attempt at stabbing him and instead tore into her chest. Meanwhile, his brother managed to shot another Rebel squarely in the guts. When the Freedom's Angels responded to the battering handed to them by the Retinue and the PDF, the Squad that was blinded didn't open fire, while they were trying to fight off the effects of a Blind Grenade. The other two directed their fire towards everyone else, but failed to either hit them or their armour managed to stop the various lasers and bullets. The Squad Leader... Well, he managed to shoot himself in the foot by accident and the Heavy Weapons Team managed to misfire their Launcher, with a Frag Missile hitting the roof and accidently killing another member of the weapons team. As for the Officer, she fired off another burst from her Hotshot lasgun and again, managed to hit the Vindicare shooting at her, but this time in the Assassin's sides. The reinforcements that Officer requested came..... In the form of a big, four legged machine with a lethal looking tail that was too differently designed to be made by human hands, with a large rotary heavy stubbler mounted onto of the machine. Checking Malaya. the Khan would find that unfortunately, he'd need the aid of Zoran or someone else good with technology in order to restore her engine to working order again. At least he wasn't stranded so far away from the Lighter that walking was out of the question. ~~Outer Structre~~ Ferenien's attempt at healing his wounds was successful, and no-one dared to come near the van after they saw the corpses of the rebels he shot. At this rate, it would be worth checking in with the Inqusistor just to see if she had new orders for him. ~~Banquet Hall --> Backrooms ~~ "Follow me then." He said, and the servant lead the way for Astra, Miria and Sedric into the back rooms, and already, it would be apparent that a few of them were marked with a big red 'X' on the door, The moaning that the man was talking about was very audible, and all three of them could hear it when the sound came from behind the doors marked with the red 'X'. The servant explained "Well, all the rooms that we heard the sound from....
