Pulling the man out of his ruined car and placing him next to it, Ogedei checked him for any hidden weapons or grenades that he might use on him before reloading his pistol. "You will live only if you speak the truth, so better make these couple of moments worthwhile," the Khan said in calm tone before he rounded up on him. "I have only one simple question for you - where were you taking that truck to?"
Sedric nods " i understand this wasa lovely chat" sedric walks off and heads torwards the inquisitor to chat with her for a bit "excuse me miss but if you have a moment i just found out these rigs are rather special...... i want 2 of em" sedric looks around the crowd to see if he can find someone interesting then looks at the inquisitor intently
Miria approached the servant, keeping her eyes locked on his. "Anything else you can tell me? What kind of noises? How long has this been happening? Any other strange occurrences or dissapearances?" She asked before glancing back at the Inquisitor. "A servant has informed me of some strange sounds and requested I investigate. I'd rather not check it alone if you have someone who isn't busy?" Miria whispered over the vox.
Following Kais gaze K'tikathat looks at the direction of the vent and spots the two figures standing there. He gives room for wonder how did the Firewarrior recognized them as humans, since neither of them was exactly the prime example of one, with their masks and robes and metal bits. Ignoring what wasn't all that important for time being, K'tikathat unsheathes the armblades and secures them to his forearms, tightening the straps around bulking biceps. "Time for feast." declares the Kroot as he lunges out of the airshaft beak first.
"...hectic", Astra concluded after a bit of thinking. "But this banquet is nice. So calm. I did want to see some jousting, but I assume it's not normal, right?" The blank smiled back at her conversational parter, not exactly sure how to continue the conversation. "At any rate, a very nice planet you have here."
Pierce nodded and readied his Exitus Pistol as he took aim. His Vision Centered on the Squad leaders weapon he took aim at the hot shot las pistol and fired off one round then quick as he could changed target after the round left his pistol and began firing at the squads of Freedom angels with his Exitus pistol taking cover after he fired he readied for return fire and reloaded his Exitus pistol.
Boris' eyes narrowed even as a sly grin remained. His heresy meter was tipping past 'Healthy Suspicion' to 'Really Suspicious' with these three. Possible psyker mind-link or perhaps darker powers, exceptionally well hidden comm-beads? Anything was possible and if the Vostroyan had picked up any lessons from the late Inquisitor it was suspect everyone and everything at any time. "Well I must say that's quite impressive, I can respect such coordination bein' a man of order and all. " A more naive Acolyte might find himself looking at these three as potential back up dancers but Boris was far wiser! Putting these possible daemonic harpies in front of a vox-caster or megaphone could be disastrous. Goading them all closer to the punch bowl he began laying out drinks for the lot of them, taking one for himself and pretending to sip from it. "So lets see take ye pick of stories; ye want the glorious Conquering of Murder Field or the treacherous Ogryns of Vissidia Primaris? "
~~Underhive~~ Kais's burst hit her target, hitting the human in the chest with a tight grouping, even if the lasgun's beams made her position very obvious to the other Rebels. Meanwhile, Firebat's attempt to fry the Heavy Weapons Team was slightly successful, with his flamer incinerating one of the poor sods who had gotten too close, while K'tikathat's charge also worked out, claiming the life of one of the Rebels with a few swift swings of his armblades. Pierce failed to hit any of the Officer's weapons, and likewise missed any of the Rebels that made up the various Freedom's Angels squads. The PDF Squad redoubled their efforts to fight off their attackers upon seeing that they had back-up, even if the Chimera's Multilaser failed to do nothing more than leave scorch marks in the building the HWT was hiding in. The squad's leader fired his lasgun and hit the enemy leader that Kais had started, softening up that target even more. Terna on the other hand.... Well, her Long-Las malfunctioned and the weapon exploded, leaving her defences-less apart from a laspistol. Arano engaged another Rebel, and his chainsword tore that poor man into pieces, blood spilling all over the man. His brother, Zerta finished off the squad leader that his own leader and the helper (Kais) had softened up with the corpse falling to the ground like so many of his fellows. The Freedom's Angels Insurgents then began their counter attack, with the first group of Rebel riddling K'tikathat with lasgun fire, with a lucky one managing to shoot the Xeno in the stomach. The second group of rebels managed to hit the PDF squad leader, nailing him in the chest and the third group failed to hit anyone. The remaining squad leader on their side likewise failed to hit his target of the PDF's chainsword user. However, with the Heavy Weapons Team coming under fire from the Skitarii, they fired a Frag Missile at the Tech-Guard which exploded behind him and sprayed him with shrapnel, causing a fair bit of damage to his back. The Officer spotted the Vindicare, and a burst from her hotshot-lasgun managed to nail the Assassin in the chest, and a hasty shout into a Comm-bead of "GET US SOME REINFORCEMENTS, THE PDF HAVE IMPERIAL HELP" There was a brief pause and then there was another shout of "AND I DON'T CARE IF WE HAVE TO USE THE DAMN XENO-TECH, THEY HAVE A BLOODY VINDICARE!" After we purge the cult the Cardinal made and purge the insurgency on this world, we're going to pay a visit to Tharsax III and see if that trail pans out.... Zoran, go and find Takeshi, and make sure that he gets every bit of information he can out of Merius before ensuring that he kills the heretic, unless he wants even worse consequences to come his way." She then pointed to a side entrance and said "Might be an idea to go that way, it'll makes your exit less noticeable, and if you find Ferenien, a Scion be sure to bring him along." When Sedric turned up with his request, the Inquisitor replied "Well, even I have no idea how to get a Hunting Rig, so no point asking me to get one." Apart from Astra being talked up by a noble, Miria being talked to by one of the servants and Boris chatting up a few of the Highborn girls, there was nothing of any real interest for Sedric other than the other Spyrers. As Miria spoke to the servant, he replied "Well, its been going on for about six months now, and whatever's making the sound.... They sound like they're not alive at all, like their corpse had came back up and starte making that sound." Meanwhile, Alicia quitely responded to Miria via her Comm-Bead "Miria, you can nab Sedric and Astra, Boris is busy investigating the guests." With Boris, the third girl said "I'd hear the Conquering of Murder Field," only to be countered by the second girl who said "No, I think the Ogryns of Vissidia Primaris would be more interesting!" An impending fight was stopped by the first girl, who said "Look, if we have the Conquering of the Murder Field first, then Yasmelia you can have the Ogryn story with the good man while we do something else." The third girl took a drink that Boris had set out, clearly hoping that it was going to be a good story. Finally, the man Astra was speaking to replied "Yes, Jousting isn't exactly the normal way things are done around here, I suppose the hustle and bustle of a Hive World is quite a big departure from what you're used to... And thank you for the complient, Verdan Prime often gets flak for not exactly standing out by the standards of Hive Worlds." ~~Outer Structure -Van~~ Ferenien wouldn't find anything else on the Rebel's corpses, their gear was Imperial-made and of fairly good quality, there was no distinctive marks on any of the corpses, and there was no obvious means of storing their orders. Clearly they were just normal insurgents, not heretics that were in league with the Ruinous Powers. ~~Courthouse~~ "And you think that something like that will break me? Because I am supposedly being manipulated by someone else to do all this? Hah! Even if I was, I'd never tell you!" Merius replied, mocking the notion that he was not in control of what was going on. Admittedly, a brow of sweet building up on the Cardinal's forehead betrayed the fact he was being scared by the Enforcer. ~~Wasteland~~ As Ogedei searched the man, he wouldn't find any hidden weapons as the driver said "Hive Vestera! The big-wig religious chap there wanted us to bring this stuff there to start making disease run though the streets! Just let me live, I've made some bad choices but.... I don't wanna die...." The man sound resigned to his fate, as if it wasn't worth trying to make his life better.. ~~~~ OOC: Anyone know how to sick up more than two images in a post? Spire Map ~~Underhive Map~~
K'tikathat digs in to the Freedom's Angel, tearing a good beakfull of flesh as he lifts his head from the body laying down on the floor. Lasgun bolt into stomach did barely register on his mind thought the epinephrine flooding his mind and bloodstream. The blood dripping lump of flesh on his food doesn't profit K'tikathat anyway as his digestive system has almost stopped, but maybe the sight of carnivore avian-xeno devouring their companion has some other effect on the Freedom's Angels. Using the muscles on his legs and claws on his feet, K'tikathat launches himself into another lunge at the insurgents, quills on his body standing up.
