The blank chuckled at Boris' vox-based planning. She lifted her glass of water to Pius' snout, letting him drink of it - not drinking from the glass herself. If only the soldier knew that Astra was as tone-deaf as they came, at least, judging by her instructor's refusal to teach her. "Certainly you're a good singer, but I am not", she replied through her bead, "I really should not try to." Astra was still laughing quietly while she spoke, making the attempts at subterfuge more difficult than normally.

"Is there a reason you wish to get rid of me so quickly, Arbitrator? I am a mere Enforcer serving the Holy Inquisition of the Ordo Hereticus, there is nothing to fear of my presence, unless you are involved in the plots of darkness." Takeshi noted casually, just buying himself time to think. The Cardinal was up to something, obviously, that suspicion was up from the first moment. But now? There was a clear confession to it. There was no way to prevent a full-fledged war, or Rebellion. So the Enforcer came to a conclusion.

"Open the cell up and lock it tight after I am in, until I tell you otherwise.... I must interrogate this man a bit closer, I just received some intel from the Inquisition."

OOC Yah but kraken bolts are for pistol and I kinda don't think I'll do anything at such range to the truck :D

Jumping down from his bike, Ogedei hunkered behind it for a moment, thinking on what to do next. With a powerful pull, he took off one of the bolters from it, murmuring a silent prayer for Mayala's machine spirit, knowing that despite it being an offense, it would be a worthless one if he died anyway.

Popping out of cover, he opened fire on the two cars that came his way, cursing inwardly that he failed to stop the truck but being a pragmatist, he was happy he at least destroyed much of its cargo and would at the moment satisfy himself with killing as many of these interlopers as he can. Most of his bolts were aimed at the driver's compartments, knowing that if his aiming was good, the ramshackle armor which made most of these vehicles would hardly stand in a way of a self-propelled mini-rocket, especially now that they were already damaged.

Frustrated at the lack of results,Zoran sagged his shoulders, too human a gesture in the presence of so many Mechanicum Adepts, who noticed his displeasure, reading noospheric bleed that dripped from his digital form like black tentacles of scrapcode.

But when the incompetence of a man and failure of Machine, spells doom,Machine God in his divine grace provides and several leads were filtered through the background of useless data.
Narthen and the Lady Ionri seemed to have quite an opinion of the brazen Cardinal, and in his undying curiosity,Adept Zoran turned his digital gaze, shifting his search, setting new parameters in his quest.Being the only one in the Inquisitorial retinue, came only at as responsibility that weighted increased pressure of possible failure.

With the cooperation of the gargantuan logi-unit,Adept Zeth searched for all conversations between Narthen and Lady Ionri that occurred in the past two years. An opinion formed in his mind,a hypothesis needing paractical...but he kept his thoughts private, away from the noospheric bleed.Techpriests around him do not need to burden themselves with knowledge that does not promote their station. In the end...

    ...knowledge is power.
  5. Ferenien was not going to allow the surviving militants to have a victory. He continued to fire at them, continuing to keep them from cover by firing at the weaker link, resting his rifle against the van as a recoil sponge, he would use the hand on the grip to access his wrist-mount dataslate, tapping on it-- A riot flashlight activates on his helmet in a bout to blind and distract the poor leathered enemies. After this flashlight had activated, he would return the hand to it's original position-- The hotshot lasgun's grip. Votum would return to firing at his foes at this point, still going for the weaker link.

  6. "No." K'tikathat answer was honest, if curt. Shas'la? Could she be prisoner of war, like me? Though a mere week. Even if Inquisitor decided to keep it hidden from me, I doubt there has been that recent wars that close to this world with Tau. Her scent doesn't add up.

"I was heading to find food myself, as well." K'tikathat enters conversation to distract them both from potentially killing each other. The combat hormone cocktail starts to dissolve from his bloodstream, kidneys filtering it out and pushing it out of his body through sweat, which vaporizes from his skin. In other words Kais may notice the air getting slightly more musky and stuffy closer the tall, muscular Kroot she is standing.

Pierce tapped a button on his helmet. "Specter I am on my way to assist you with parts of your mission and was suggest I come to aid you with anything you need during your operation. I am on my way and ready to dispatch any foe." Pierce said through the vox towards Specter as he made his way to him spotting him by several gaurd Chimeras and began his approach.

Her shoulders droop down in disappointment. "Ah, I see. Well, there is a PDF crate behind us, there might be some supplies. I'm willing to split them if you are, K'tikathat, as food is scarce here." She motions her head to the crate, not making any quick motions that may be perceived as a threat.

"Suit yourself metal man, but don't be surprised if you need us for help." The Squad Leader replied, surprised at the arrogance of the Tech-Guard. The young man got into the Chimera, and it sped off without either of the pair inside. A pundit would certainly call this "An exercise in futility" as the pair were left with nothing to show for their attempt at requesting reinforcements, and no directions to anywhere other than the vague location of the Underhive as a destination.

    ~~Banquet Hall ~~
As Sedric asked his question, the Spyrer Noble replied "Well, a Hunting Rig can fix itself, so I don't have to worry about anything at this party giving me hassle in keeping it repaired and clean." He was a little more pleasant, finding that Sedric wasn't exactly being a pushy so-and-so who'd be wasting his time.
When Boris approached the gaggle of Highborn ladies, Alicia replied via her comm-beads "Well, I think that'd do nicely for stirring up the lot of them. You have my blessing to go and set up whatever you're planning." The girls opened up to let the man into their little group, with them all cooing "Well, hello there!"
Miria would find that she would be approached by one of the younger servants that had been setting up the tables, who timidly said "M'lady..... If you have a moment?"
Astra, also being giving something to do, ended up attracting the attention of one of the more restrained nobles, a man who was dressed in a suit, quite the contrast to the nobles that would flaunt their wealth or the Spyrers, who tuned up dressed for a battle. He said "So..... How are you, my fair lady?"

The Banquet was clearly in full swing, and it'd take a very dramatic turn of events, from an assassin's bullet to a more.... Chaotic turn of events in order to really put a dampener on the moment. Alicia was also busy talking to Narthen, Hera was chatting up an old flame, and Lady Ionria was busy enjoying herself.

    ~~Courthouse~~
"Well, I was thinking it'd be wise to keep an Inquisitor in the loop about what's you've done so far, but if you wanna have a talk.... Well, go ahead, if you've got the intel." The Arbitrator said, with the others opening up the cell for the Enforcer. That same stink that had accompanied Merius on the way to the Courthouse came back again, with one of the other Arbites that was close to the cell door loudly gaging from the stench.

    ~~Wasteland~~
As the rest of the Convoy sped away from the Marine, the two cars pressed their attack on Ogedei as he missed both of them ,the drivers being better than one would expect a bunch of Wastelanders to be. The gunners however, were not so good as they both missed the Khan, bullets kicking up dirt and sparks from his armour. Giving up on driving around and making life hard for their gunners, the two cars stopped in front of the marine, while the gunners inside reloaded their heavy stubblers to try and finish off the interloper in their domain.

Zoran's search for knowledge proved to be a bounty, with communication between Lady Ionria and Narthen becoming apparent..... Looking through the logs of the communication of the duo, a timeline could be built up their communication.

Six months ago, the Cardinal went to the Feudal World of Tharsax III, and when he came back, Narthen received news from Hera that Merius.... Raised suggestions of deities other than the Emperor as an object of veneration. With his suspecions that the Cardinal might be plotting something, the Govenor asked the Lady Ionria to use her network of spies to gather as much information on what Merius was doing. The channel then went silent.

Two months later, Lady Ionria gave Narthen a chilling report: Merius seemed to have made a network of preachers that were preparing.... For something. One of the spies had gone mad having gotten too deep into the network, rambling about a "Disciple of the Plaguefather leading a rotting religion." Lady Ionria chose to interpret this as the spy just going made but Narthen was horrified, demanding that she find a method to destroy the network. His order to have the network destroyed was counted by Ionria, as the PDF was too busy fighting the Freedom's Angels insurgency to bust the network and her own spies were not equipped for the task, so they agreed to monitor the Cardinal until assistance could come, which meant having to still treat him as if he was a fully trusted advisor to the Governor.

And finally, a week ago, Narthen passed on the news to that an Inquisitor of the Ordo Hereticus was arriving, and that if everyone managed to support the Inquisitor in her investigation, they could rid themselves of the issue of Merius and finally focus on really crushing the now furious insurgency, that was apparently getting backing from some minor race of Xenos.

Ferenien would find his plan a success, with two of the attackers blinded and the weakest one being silenced by the hot-shot lasgun blasting him in the chest, the corpse slumping to the ground. The first rebel suffered a major problem as during his blind spray of autogun bullets he accidentally shot his comrade in the chest, but the other one managed to hit the Scion dead on in the shoulder, lasgun punching another hole in the man, despite being hurt by someone who was on his own side.

Rebels : 2,1 (Blinded for 2 turns, attacks by the Rebels are made at a -2.)

    ~~Underhive Entrance~~
As Kais opened up the crate, she would find that there was a lasgun, a chainsword, some AP and AI ammo for autoguns, as well as a few Stun, Krak, Frag and Blind grenades. However, they'd have to make it quick as both could hear the yelling of humans above, and it would only be a matter of time before the Redemptionists came down the same airshaft the Kroot found. At least there was a route deeper into the Underhive, as the airshaft gently sloped downwards and went deeper into the hive.

(OOC: Kais can take two special ammo magazines for her autopistol, and two grenades of any type.
K'tikathat can swap out his current loadout of grenades and special ammunition. )

Astra raised a curious, blaze red eyebrow at the man. A man who approached her, and complimented her! It made the blank smile, even if only because she was an enthusiast of the classic stories. After all, he was a nobleman and she was a noblewoman, and to her mind, whatever impending flattery was going on would be part of an elaborate ritual. According to the books she'd read, of course.

Immediately, she straightened herself. "Supremely well, mylord, for this is a more than pleasant gathering. I thank you for asking, but now I must inquire: what about you? How does this social event fare to your sensibilities?"
