"Affirmative, Inqusitor, Will begin heading heading after Spectre to assist in his mission. Permission to raise him on the vox as needed?" Pierce asked before he got ready to go. Unjamming his Exitus rifle before getting ready to head after Spectre heading towards his last known position and then to track and assist him in his mission. He put on his spy mask over his head since his presence was already known as a Sassanian it was best to have all the protection and gear ready.

Takeshi simply nodded and looked at the Cardinal. "You are hopefully aware that I am not all too stupid, and actually understood your code words, yes? And at this point I am not sure if you hold me for a fool, or if you just did all that to have an alibi when ... Things happen. I am trying to be on your side here Cardinal, but your hidden in plain sight style message really shakes my faith and whether I should actually risk getting the Inquisitor on my bad side for that or not." He added, crossing his arms as he stood outside of the cell, his eyes focused on the older man.
  3. Ferenien's plan worked, effective at what seems to be Forty percent of his encounter, yet the battle has not yet been won. The Scion would now fire at the remaining revenge seeking militants, aiming for the closest one to the previous cover they had shared as they were the easiest to pick off, both from lack of escape tactics compared to the rest, and the fact it would scare the others further away from the limited cover. Aiming was the easy part, now comes the firing. Callsign 'Tempestor Decimus' would aim and fire at the weakest link, soon to move on to the rest.

<Wasteland chase aka Mad Maxx part 2 (the best part) reanactement>

Grunting, Ogedei lurched in his seat as the shells exploded all around him. His instincts proved to be correct and the tanker really did carry something foul. The task was clear - this convoy must be stopped, one way or the other.

White Scars had plenty of exercise when it came to riding metal steeds and Ogedei knew it was only that that saved him now, for the enemies around were many and he had to somehow even the odds.

The clearest solution was taking out the big truck, it was a primary goal although the Khan had plenty of ideas how to advance if that plan fails. But first he wanted to see if this prey had more fight in it!

Ogedei gunned his bike forward towards the back wheels of the tanker, hoping to use his ride's superior speed to get in there as fast as possible. He would then pull out his krak grenade and stick it onto tanker's side, just above the wheels in order to sabotage it and create enough damage for the vehicle to stop.

As soon as the grenade was in place, he would ride away from it and out of the turrets effective range, if the opportunity occurs even open fire on one of the cars if they try to get to him. His supposed cowardly run was only an attempted bait to divide the enemy force so he could pick them out more easily.

Familiar smell of pine-scented incense filled the air in a murky haze, the closer Adept Zoran came to the CCU.The blessed machine stood in the middle of the chamber, from her giant cables snaked across the floor in byzanthine fashion.Transmechanics manned various consoles, the later bathing their cowled faces in sickly green light. As Adept Zeth walked in,none paid any heed to him,at least to a unaugmented eye.

His noospheric MIU buzzed at the back of his head as thought-signals filled the air around him in beautiful golden and white colors. Each and every Adept was suffused in these colors,as data swam around their heads, framing them in golden halos. This was always evident with Transmechanics, the masters of the aetheric communication, for the august voice of the machine is theirs and the sacred wavelengths of the vox at their disposal.

In mere moments,Zeth exchanged greetings and low-level data with twenty seven Adepts that were present in the chamber of the sacred engine.Authenticating his Forge World, rank, status and Inquisition deployment with binary codes of biometrics,he proceeded to the Central Cogitator Unit, careful not to disturb Techpriests around it,as they maintained its metal shell and machine spirit.

Through this unit millions of communications were established every single day.Of course,Adept Zoran`s goals require a bit of...unorthodox methods, considering that anyone with less-then-loyal agenda would not use the usual channels of communication.Locating the socket,Adept Zoran extended his dendrite with electro-graft and plugged himself into the network.

In this digital environment of binary he scrutinized every cache file and hash code,in search of hidden or encrypted channels.

Nodding appreciatively, Astra replied "Of course. Thank you, milady Inquisitor!". When she noticed that the banquet was starting, she sought a seat not too far from Alicia and sat down, looking at the incoming nobles and all the different, exciting flavours of nobility, from overtly rich folks to normal-looking people to some... soldiers in armour? Now that, Astra seemed to have trouble interpreting as she stared intently at those, but her concentration was eventually broken by having to fight Pius, who wanted to climb atop the table.

Holding onto the creature, the Reman waited for the feast to start.

"Well, let me get a few things straight: One, we need to move quickly and once you've seen what those damned Angels have done to our boys in the Underhive, you'll be grateful for the protection and speed of a Chimera. Two, Terna has the two boys to spot her targets, but Gek can do it in a pinch. And finally, the green patch meant we came from the Green Menace Gang, PDF recruits from the Gangs around here. So either get your shiny metal ass on the Chimera, or you can try and outrun it, cause we're going either way." The Squad Leader responded, before heading into the Chimera, letting the Skitarii see if it was worth going along in the Chimera or risk going in on foot.

Naturally, any attempts at heading off were derailed when Pierce turned up, and the Squad Leader ended up heading back out of the Chimera and pointedly said to the Tech-Guard "Metal man, you mind telling me if that guy is with ya or not!?"

K'tikathat would manage find that one of the wall panels was certainly hollow, and a quick pull on that panel would lead the Kroot to an airshaft with a ladder that would provide a excellent way down into the Underhive. Unfortunately, once the Kroot entered said airshaft, his way down would become rather hard to slow down, as the ladder in the shaft broke and K'tikathat fell down.... A few metres before landing on something soft that looked and felt distinctively like a Tau Fire Warrior with his or her armour caked in dry blood, resting at the bottom of the airshaft (@Coffeechipmunk ). At least the Kroot would also be able to spot a crate of stuff that must have been dumped down here by some group of PDF some time ago, but they never claimed it again.

"You would be surprised about what happens to those that question the teachings of the Ecclesiarchy, Enforcer." Merius replied from behind his cell door, before the Arbitrator said "Well, you don't need to worry about him now, we can keep him secure. Wouldn't be surprised if your boss wanted you back, just so that he or she stayed in the loop about what happened here." As he spoke, the other Arbitrators kept watch on the Cardinal, making sure that he didn't do anything funny.

As with all good things, Fenerien's run of good luck came to an end as he missed his target and instead scorched a non-descript wall, giving the rebels time to focus fire on the Scion. The one he target didn't do much harm, but the second rebel managed to hit the Scion in the leg, lasgun firing a lucky shot that hit him in a place that wasn't as well protected as his chest. In yet another twist of fortune, the third rebel failed to harm Fenerien again, Carapace still protecting him from harm much better than the simple robes the rebels wore.

Ogedei would find his plan was somewhat success, with the Krak grenade imploding and tearing a fair amount of the tanker to spew all over the convoy, along with the deadly cargo it carried but only two of the cars splinted off from the main group to chase down the Space Marine, both spewing bullets without any luck in landing a hit on the Angel of Death. However, both of them would end up suffering under a hail of bolter fire from Malaya, bolts tearing into armour and rendering both further vulnerable. The Chimeras tried to lend some Multilaser fire in aid of their comrades, with one scoring a critical hit on his bike, immobilising it by a lucky shot to the engine as Marine managed to bring it to a halt before he ended up hitting a large rock. The other Chimera managed to score a hit on the marine himself, further capitalising on the fact shots to the neck tended to actually harm the Marine, lasfire ending up hitting him in the left shoulder.

The car with the broken weapon however, provided another saving grace for the Marine, as the Truck's cargo blinded the driver and ended up causing car to collide with the truck, causing yet more damage to the tanker and destroying that car. Also, the Khan was out of the turret's effective range as another shell missed the Astartes by a considerably wide margin

As Zoran began his search for any encrypted or hidden channels lurking in the digital environment that the hash codes and cache files might point him towards, it wouldn't bear any initial fruits such as a clear method of accessing the content of any hidden channels.... Yet. However, his search would also point towards some interesting communication between Narthen and the Lady Ionri, about the Cardinal, almost as if the Machine Spirit was giving him a subtle hint in which way his eyes could go.

    ~~Banquet Hall~~
As the Highborn settled down, Narthen stood up and addressed the nobles "My dear friends, we are assembled here today to welcome a visit from the Inquisition, who are here to ensure that the spectre of rebellion is put to rest. So, may we all work together to ensure the security and prosperity of Verdan Prime. Let the Banquet begin!"
With those words said, the nobles started mingling, eating and drinking, giving everyone who was part of Alicia's retinue a chance to start grilling people, asking questions and generally act like actual agents of the Inquisition rather than glorified soldiers .

  9. Kais, after being on Verdan Prime for a week, was desperate for anything she could find; Anything she could salvage. During her exploration, she found a shaft, with a PDF crate below. As she approached it, K'tikathat tumbled onto her. With a Kroot on top of her, instinct kicked in as he lander on her, Kais grabbed her auto pistol, and fired multiple shots into her unexpected encounter.

"I think you'll find it's called a Hunting Rig, and well.... It's not just for show." The noble gruffly replied, pointing to his armour's oversize right fist.... Which had a bolt launcher integrated into it, same as his left fist. He then said "So, anything else you'd like to ask, or can you go and bug someone else?"
