OOC: @GoreWrencha , If you're going to develop the little senpai movement as a little offshoot.... Might be an idea to put it in a spoiler? It's all so that nobody who pops their head in the thread ends up seeing something they didn't want to see! ~~Offices~~ The PDF Major, a woman in her late 30's who unlike the Chief Arbitrator , hadn't seen action beyond basic training and officer school was understandably shocked by the arrival of a Tech-Guard, but her face turned to relief at the explanation SPECTER-77 was going to aid in any purges. So the Major replied "Well, we have no purges per say going on..... Yet we have a problem you might be able to help us with, a Gang that call themselves"Freedom's Angels" that has grown very, very large to the point that..." She took a moment to consider telling the truth to Firebat, and ended up deciding to tell that truth to the Tech-Guard "..... Truth be told, they're more than just a gang, they're an insurgency that's scarily close to starting a major conflict in Hive Vestera, all they need is a big enough spark before they 'Rise up and claim the Hive for those who cannot defend themselves from the oppression of the Highborn' as their propaganda telecasts say, and they've got the manpower, the organisation and the gear to really cause some damage. So if you can help us try and bring that bunch of rebels down, before they really start something, that'll save everyone a lot of pain." The major's face was a lot more sombre after talking to the Tech-Guard, clearly spilling the beans that the Hive was *this* close to all out rebellion had taken the wind out of her sails. ~~Meeting Room~~ Sedric's attempt at healing the Kroot..... Well, to say it didn't go as planned would be an understatement. To say that Sedric did more harm than good would be more accurate, as the attempt at cleaning the wound ended up setting off the bleeding from the torn artery, K'tikathat's blood spilling onto the floor and some of it getting on the Guardsman's uniform. As Alicia arrived, saying "Hera, do you kno-SEDRIC!! WHAT IN THE EMPEROR'S NAME ARE YOU DOING!?!?" as the Inquisitor hurried over to the trio and separated idiot from wounded Xeno. Theanon then said "Zoran, go and fix Sedric's clumsy mistake" as she lead Sedric away, with Hera tagging along to ensure that the pair got the Banquet Hall without any incidents. K'tikathat: 8{10}: Bleeding. ~~Banquet Hall~~ As Narthen, Astra, Boris and Mira headed into the Banquet Hall, all of them could see that all the stops had been pulled out, with the banners of the various houses and Hives that made up the political elite of Verdan Prime being prominently displayed on the main wall, and various pieces of finery being laid out by the flurry of servants busy working around the hall, setting everything up. Closest to the group was a grand staircase and they were on the upper level. Below the group, there were two main tables fairly closely set out so that those seated at either table can converse with those seated at the other table, with a third at the head of the two tables obviously being intended for the Governor and his aide, the Inquisitor and her retinue and no-one else as would be apparent by the relative lack of chairs. Meanwhile, the workforce busy setting up the hall worked twice as hard under the eye of Narthen and his guests. Narthen took this moment to answer the questions that the Boris and Astra had, firstly saying "Well.... A good variety should keep everyone entertained..... What's your name good sir?" to Boris, then turning to the girl, who he got the vague feeling something was very wrong with, yet dismissed the feeling, attributing to his nerves. He replied "Well, we should have about one hundred and fifty or so nobles turning up, and considering at more than a few of them having holdings and interests across the Ternaic Sector, you could say that you're dining at a banquet with men and women that could plot and murder their way to the High Lords of Terra. And well we don't really have any traditions of note apart from the odd Spyrer House, and knights are replaced with corporate agents, princesses with trophy wives or toy boys, and we do have honourable combat such as duels, just nothing as.... wasteful as a jousting competition. If you have anything else to ask about, might want to save it for when the banquet is in full swing." He decided against telling the poor naïve girl his personal warning to the Inquisitor, or breaking her illusion that life was quite good to everyone. Meanwhile, Hera, Serdric and Alicia had arrived at the Hall and both Hera and Alicia were certainly exhausted from a semi-frantic dash to avoid being late for a banquet in the latter's honour. ~~Courthouse~~ With Takeshi being accidentally accurate as to how far Alicia would go if the Kroot ended up 'missing' or anyone else on the team for that matter, the Cardinal nodded at the fact he'd have to make his massage quick. Merius looked suitably scared as the pair arrived at the courthouse. At first the duo would have to get through a checkpoint staffed by a few hapless PDF soldiers and Enforcers, as well as an Arbitrator that was meant to check anyone travelling from either structure for contraband such as weapons or drugs, and so far it didn't look like any of the poor saps had been informed about Cardinal being taken in, as the Arbitrator on duty yelled "Who are you and why do you have His Piousness Merius the Sixth in your custody?!" The Arbitrator also had her hands close to her power maul, just in case the Enforcers and PDF troopers needed help in subduing the oddly clad Enforcer. ~~Hangar~~ Waiting on @Colapse and @Verticus ! @High_Adept_Zeth : Meeting Room @Shadhunter : Banquet Hall / Main Reception @DeranVendar : Banquet Hall / Main Reception @Casavay : Banquet Hall / Main Reception @torque : Banquet Hall / Main Reception @Uriel1339 : Courthouse @Verticus : Hangar @Colapse : Hanger @GoreWrencha : Meeting Room @Vulpas : Meeting Room (OOC: I'm going to give Vulpas a week to see if he comes back, or at least posts something up to say he's still in. If not, I'll have to drop him ) @TechCaptain : Offices
K'tikathat turns his attention to his shoulder, the wound now bleeding amply, blood spurting out on rhythm of his heart beat. Figures. He thinks, looking the blood pooling under his feet and staining those standing in front of him. The shoulder was being rather painful and the rate of blood loss was getting alarming. K'tikathat had decided to stand still and let the humans to do as they wanted as seemingly he acting on his own caused relatively large shitstorm. But now he is starting to think under sense of self-preservation that taking care of this on his own might be worth of taking the risk humans turning against each other once again. It doesn't seem Inquisitor wants to punish K'tikathat, but it was clear that he caused trouble for her. OOC: I though the ooc-tags were enough, but I'll place any future fanfics into spoilers since you clearly can't appreciate the love between kroot and techpriest, ba~kas.
"Boris Archibald Markses Sir. One of Vostroya's many loyal sons and a proud first born. " Immediately he split off from the rest to begin performing an inspection of this perimeter for any traps or nasty bits of sabotage that weren't his own. Moving near a particularly large punch bowl he took a long step around so his hands were blocked by the table itself. Leaning he took a sniff of what was on offer, seeing if he could smell any toxin while also using it as an excellent opportunity to appear suspicious and re-direct attention to his odd behavior rather than hand snaking to table's underside where he could firmly press one of his det-packs into place in case things got hairy. For now a single distraction would have to suffice.
"Inqusitor do you want me to guard the wounded xeno while medical attention is given and assist him in his mission to possible increase chances of purging more heretics with him, His wounds may degrees some of his efficiency." Pierce said as he looked to the inquisitor finally coming out of the shadows, He messed with his exitus trying to unjamm it something was wrong with his rifle and this was a problem for him.
~~ Courthouse ~~ "Cease your hostilities, Arbitrator and investigate as the Lex Imperialis demands!" Takehsi roared back. "I am the Silver Shroud, member of the Holy Inquisition, the Ordo Hereticus, the guardians against the threat from within. This man, the cardinal has overstepped his boundaries and attacked a fellow of the Inquisitor's personal retinue. Such deed must be punished. Alas before we can have any punishment, the Cardinal must been given a proper trial. And in order to allow such thing, he must be confined by the highest of all securities. For the safeties of others, as well as himself. That no riots may break out, that no death shall be found to any loyal citizen of the God-Emperor. And furthermore... The Chief Arbitrator Archen agreed to those terms. Contact him, if you must." Takeshi replied with a loud and stoic voice, not letting a bit of doubt, nor fear ring in the air. As he possessed neither. That was the gift to those who worked with righteousness, justice and purpose.
"Alright, Major. I need details. Leaders, numbers, training, what support you have, and why besides the fact they threaten the status quo, I should worry about them, are they heretics? " 'Firebat' made the effort to make the more human noises. He was watching the PDF Major carefully. He didn't say he would help or not.
Ogedei nodded and went to inform the pilot he'll be comandeering the shuttle now. He patiently waited for the soldier to take the van out before he hopped on and closed the hatch. "Pilot, take us down to the wasteland, direction straight North and I'll take it from there," he said and jumped on his bike, ready to fire it up as soon as they reach the destination.
After inspecting and assessing the cargo, more specifically, the van, Ferenien would detach the pack on his back supporting his weaponry power supply, his grav chute as well as his general supply container, holding it with his right arm, he would enter the van, placing his pack somewhere inside the van for temporary storage. Entering the van and checking it, he would activate it, driving out of the Lighter, quickly getting out briefly to close the cargo door before getting back inside the van and driving it to the nearest large cargo lift, stopping at the elevator's gates, exiting the van once more to get to the lift's access panel, pressing a button to lower the gates, doing so, he would return to the van to drive it atop the lift. He would exit the van once more to activate the lift itself, looking for the on-lift access panel and eventually moving towards it, pressing the appropriate button that would allow him to continue the van's progress in taking it to it's designated point pre-banquet.
After blood spurts on him he swears in a deep low gothic really shocked he was able to cause damage and as hes quickly dragged to the banquet hall "im sorry madam i thought i could atleast gussy up the kroot turns out i just made it worse" Sedric sighs deeply certain that alicia is certainly viewing him as a bit of a mistake and he looks over at hera "why hello their the names Sedric Mons may i ask your name? I do not belive we have met quite yet" Sedric is curious about this person with the inquisitor and is rather glad hes out of that room the tech priest made him feel...... a bit uneasy
OOC: Just a little mini-update, will update the banquet hall and meeting room tomorrow so that @Shadhunter @Casavay and @High_Adept_Zeth have some time to post! OOC: It's not that I didn't like it! Just so that if you do want to do it, means it's 100% clear it's not part of the main post and you have a little leeway in what you type up. ~~Offices~~ With the Tech-Guard asking for more specific details, the PDF major replied "Lets see, they have close to 750,000 troops in a Hive that's about a billion strong, not counting any connection to the other Hives they likely have, sleeper agents and their irregulars.... On the matter of their leadership, we simply can't nail them down as they do not have an easy figurehead that you could just kill and watch the rest of them fall back in line, and as for the training that those 'Freedom's Angel' insurgents get, well.... Let's just say they're good enough to be part of the Imperial Guard." It was clear from her face that the PDF major was pained at admitting that the enemy was much better than her own side "On our side, we have Guard standard equipment with a few specialty weapons on our side, but most of the lads are either too green or too scared at our attrition rate to get things done, and we do have some Chimeras on hand for rapid transport. And well.... We have some intelligence reports that say that the insurgents are getting off-world support of some kind, but we haven't been able to prove it yet." ~~Outside the Government structure-Van~~ As soon as the Scion had parked the van at the designated location, just next to a side entrance accessible directly from the Banquet Hall. Looking around through all the traffic, and all the people going about their business out of the corner of his eye the man could see a small group of what at first glance would be an ordinary group of civilians; but Ferenien's experienced eyes could see that they were clearly hiding weapons underneath their clothing, and they were spaced out enough to easily get into what little cover stood between the group and himself. The potentially dangerous were headed straight towards the van and looked like they were spoiling for a fight. ~~Wasteland~~ As the Lighter set down at the specified distance, on a hill where one could get a good view of the Hive and the surrounding territory in the Wasteland, Ogedei sped out of the craft on his bike, and the pilot voxed the Astartes "My lord, the Lighter will be staying here for the time being, seeing as you might need to head back to the Hive in a hurry. Call it a gut feeling, but I swear things back at Hive might end up worse than when we left it...." Meanwhile the Space Marine could clearly see that to the West was some form of convoy on the move, lots of vehicles kicking up dirt and dust as the convoy headed south. To the east, and quite close to the hill was some old structures that showed signs of being inhabited by sentient life, though if it was by humans or mutants remained to be seen. ~~Courthouse~~ The Arbitrator seemed convinced by the Silver Shroud's explanation and she said "Fine, you two can come through. I will be checking with Archen however.... It's just that I've never seen a Enforcer dress as strangely as that!" concluding with a slight, light hearted snigger at the end. As Cardinal and Takeshi entered the Courthouse, the directions to the high security cells was fairly obvious and they wouldn't have to consult anyone for directions, despite the fortress-like internal design. Once the pair had arrived at the cells, about six veterans Arbitrators were waiting for the duo to turn up. The leader amoung them said to the Enforcer "So you're the one that bought in Merius..... I have to admit, it took some serious balls to get away with defying an Inqusitor to uphold the Lex Imperialis. Does Merius have any last requests before we lock him up?" He was seriously impressed with someone who could actually get away with effectivly flipping the bird at someone who had the authority to call in an Exterminatus in the name of what was right.
